Where the current event icon should be, I instead have a green James Webb icon with a loading animation. Nothing happens when I tap it. The event is still accessible through the “select simulation” menu, but I can't claim my rewards. It's been like this since the end of the Human Body event. In both that and the Visual Art event, I reached challenge level 3 before the event ended.
Screenshot above is from Android version 26_37 on a Google Pixel 6. I checked for updates multiple times since the bug first popped up. Checked again after posting this and got an update which was apparently released 10 days ago, although it was not available to me for unknown reasons. I now have 26_57 and the problem persists.

what you can try is repeatedly downloading the cloud save, even when it's the exact same one as the one you already have
if that doesn't help, aditya should be able to help

I have no idea how to “download the cloud save”, there is no such option in any of the menus (that I can find).

You can find our cloud save options inside the "Game Transfer" menu
and let me know if the issue hasnt been resolved yet

that one is simply what i found to have worked for me, I don't know if it's the only way to fix it
okay, so it happened again, i will now see if the previous solution works for me again
and i got jumpscared by the new menu

Its not a requirement, we're still trying to figure out the cause for the bug so I just wanted to see if the same thing worked for others.

@candid sierra just to confirm, you had the loading animation stay until the end right ? Did you by any chance also get a popup show "Rank #0" ?

didn't get any rank pop up, and the loading animation was there until the save redownload alleviated the issue, similarly to last time

no popup, just a permanent loading animation, and note that the icon shown is for the JWST event, not for the Human Body or Visual Art events, which are the ones I've completed but not received rewards for

when it worked for me it took me like 10 times i guess
no one really knows why this bug happens, and no one knows as well why redownloading the save fixed it

I can confirm that the exploration button now works correctly, but I haven't received any rewards for the last few events.
