I have played the virus event several times - the only times I have been able to complete it is when I use boosts. If I do not use boosts, I cannot complete it.

I think it is. Especially if I am forced to be part of the race (no way to opt out, other than just simply not playing at all).

I disagree. Up until now, I could complete things without boosting. Boosting makes it faster, but not required for completion. I don't care about "winning" or "losing", I just want to play to have fun. Being unable to complete an event without boosting is not fun for me. So.... I could just stop playing and we can all move on. 😁

That sounds awful, the event should be doable without any boost at all.

this event felt much longer than previous events to me too. I remember my first playthroughs of anatomy and visual art took maybe 66% of the time the infection event took me.

We have been noticing this event has been harder than others for some players, something we didn't notice during testing. It wasn't intended to be any harder than previous events, so this is good feedback

Okay and what’s wrong with boosting? It’s a part of the game after all. Just use some Darwinium to boost and that’s all. Not a bug

I was able to do it with about half a day left while going at 2x speed for about a day and a half and 4x for about a day

Idk how serious you are about finishing it but you could do some easy maths to figure out when you’d have enough currency to get something and then set an alarm for that time

Also maybe you didn’t get it done in time because you spent your currencies poorly
