Metabits production decreasing over time

I'm seeing the metabits production decreasing over time and it decreases even faster when using the boost.

As you can see from the video, the production is 8,30B/s (it was 8,34 earlier before I noticed it was decreasing) and, after activating a boost, it went down to 8,29B/s.

Closing the game and restarting it made no difference, it still showed 8,29.

I left the game in the background for a couple of hours and when I checked back it went down to 8,27B/s, as shown at the end of the video.

What is going on here? Shouldn't it go up? Let me know if you need more details

This isn't a bug. The amount of production needed for each metabit increases as you gain them so your metabits/second will decrease.

I see... I've been playing it for years and never stopped to think about it or even notice what was going on there. I thought it was a fixed number that would only increase when speed went up, just like the rest of the game when you buy stuff and production is steady and then it increases.
