so I think I opened my game for like over 10 hours today, switching back and forth between several simulations from time to time. Last I checked the game usually takes around 1.7gb of memory when opened under several hours, but now it takes 2.2, I think there might be a slight memory leak issue.

What game version are you on ?

if there isnt active beta it's the normal steam version

Alright, seems to be an one off issue because I mostly have my game option for several hours together on my windows laptop and my memory only hovers at around 500mb

#

Were you focused on the gardens ?

no 99% of the time it should be just the upgrade screen

#

the difference between our memory usage might just be which graphic it's run

#

I toggled run by nividia yesterday but it might still be using integrated one

#

gonna force run by nividia now and see what's the difference

#

yeah running by that would drop it to 750mb for me

#

but issue is still there

I've been noticing issues too, there was one time recently where it was using 6GB

#

currently on 27_31, but I guess it could have been resolved with the patch rollback

@rough magnet the games been looking good recently, anywhere between 600MB and 1.3GB.

#

I think I did replicate the 6GB usage, I happened to have a look while I was closing the game as it was taking a little time (maybe 15 seconds). It did appear to occur as a consequence of closing as I saw it increase from 2.7GB to 6GB.

I normally end on Beyond as I'm still progressing through it.

#

I was able to recreate the issue again, this time only increasing to 3.5GB on closing the game after 5 hours of sitting idle while I played another game with occasional input. Initial memory consumption being 800MB.

#

I normally have it on a second monitor with another application partially covering it.

#

May not be a factor but in combination with another game I'm playing and an application I've written the CPU spends a lot of time bottlenecked.

@rough magnet I got distracted by an incident at work for 4 hours and came back to this
