when you research "fungal burial", the text boxs says: "environmentally conscious individuals may wish to ***forgo ***a coffin when they die." It should be: " environmentally concious individuals may wish to forge a coffin when they die".

I think I need more context to decide whether this truely is a typo, or an intentional word choice

#

Forgo is a word, it means to pass it by, like to forgo a coffin would be to skip having a coffin

#

Now that I think about it, this looks intentional

#

If one forgoes a coffin, the decomposition of their body will help the environment around that area

Forgo is definitely the correct wording here. Forge would be to create a coffin and that's not what you do when you have a fungal burial.

its definitely forgo

#

the usual burial materials and process are not very environmentally friendly

#

so some people prefer a more "natural" burial

Tbf forgo is an older word noobslayer may not have heard before, so we don't need to blast them too hard with deconfirmations
