The holiday gift screen is showing up as a black screen and I'm unable to select anything.

Scroll around on screen, (I moved it to the left) and you should find the Primary Simulation tree.

me as well (looks the same as above screenshot), the description says "we want to share these special holiday gifts" but there's no gifts there (or anywhere)

Depending on the screen you are when pressing the Gift you have different results:
Knowledge Tree: Nothing happens
Earth spinning: Black screen, moving does nothing
Cells and Protozoan life: Bottom of the Knowlege Tree, can be moved and get into the tree
Sea Life: Black screen, moving does nothing
Mainland simulation (where the animals are): Somewhere in the three, random, outside the borders, moving eventually leads you to the tree.

What awards? It doesn't seem to do anything. Also the feedback award doesn't seem to do anything. It's asking for parental support.. I'm 41 earth cycles beyond that.

For some, if still seeing a black screen, auto-updates for the steam desktop version might be broken, or set to manual updates. Had that black screen, too, until ~10 min ago, despite having had set FCTS to auto-update, etc. Didn't use a game that wouldn't allow parallel background-downloads, either. The update only started after starting 'verify integrity of game files' via the steam client. Now it's fine.

Sooo i updTed. Got the gifts to show up. But uhh the ribbon on the gifts look like they should come with a flash warning bc they are moving and shaking on the screen. And look like tiny threads not the full ribbon...on half of them.

Anyone else have the issue?
