I completed the new event and didn't receive a reward. Reached the 2nd place and nothing happened. In the meantime, I have been eliminated from the leaderboard despite being 100%.

It's not just on Android, it happened to me on the Steam PC version. I just got to 4th place while being the only person (so far) to 100% the event, no conversion to Race Finished placing and no Logits.

I think you do get the logits added to your total, but there is no announcement/notification generated. I thought the same as you as well but when I checked the Logit total, I did see that I got the logits for my race finish.
