Got message to update for the teapot event, but there is no link. I tried looking in Steam, nothing there either. Am I missing an icon somewhere?

It isn't the latest steam update, because if it was and if everyone had this issue this wouldn't be the only place you'd hear it
You'd hear people complaining about being unable to play the event in cells chat all the time
And yes, it is possible that other people have the update and you don't. I've had that before for android
