An argument could be made that unachievable goals should remain in beta. A stronger argument could be made that yanking carrots away from those reaching for them is poor game design.
I'm going to assume this was a regression and continue my quest for 50Qa. If a dev states differently, I'll probably block them, erase their message from my memory, and continue enjoying my grind.
