i like to imagine a typo is a grammatical error if the word typo'ed turns into another word
example of just typo:
"How was the partu?" (How was the party?)
example of grammatical error:
"The list contains eggs milk sugar and wheat." (The list contains eggs, milk, sugar [optional Oxford comma] and milk.)
example of both:
"Hey, what us that?" (Hey, what is that?")
