When looking at the reality engine and trying to back out into the simulation, I found myself stuck in the reality but the simulation's screen is still visible. I'm not able to interact with the simulation at all but am able to interact with the reality engine. This only happened to me once, but if anyone else has had this then it may be something to look into.
