I believe Titan is about 794,000 miles from Saturn, and Mercury is about 35 million miles from the Sun. Yet in the beautiful Beyond Garden, the orbits of both appear to have about the same radius (in the image, Saturn is in the background, and Titan's orbit should be MUCH smaller)

same is true for almost all orbits and object sizes the model is not to scale, that wouldnt make any sense in comparison to the scale of the solar system

#

everything is presented in a way to give a rough idea on what the scale of most things are but its never close to accurate, you couldnt even see these for example if its was even trying to be accurate:

So it was intentional? I know lunch mentioned on several occasions (in the Twitch livestreams) that the team was very careful about being scientifically accurate for most everything

yes, all factual statements in the best are hold to scrutiny and are always supposed to represent the current state of science. they said in mutliple livestreams though that they had to compromise on the scale of the solar system for it to make even sense to show

wow! They need bookmarks!

The "light speed" animation is pretty amazing as well. Wow!

that wouldnt really give interested players any meaningful information, so thats why the scale of the solar system model is not to scale, what should be really close to accurate though is the relataion of the orbit speeds comparing to each other for example
