So I did the Lurking in the Dark event this week and got all three badges but when the game updated to 17.09 today the badges I had got are no longer there if there's a way to fix this could you tell me that would be nice.

Because 17.09 is Public Version, not Beta. The Deep Sea Life Event is in Beta.

I was still in the Beta for the game though as it said so on my steam you known when you hover over the game and in brackets it has Beta at the end of it.

It is an annoyance for beta testers, to be sure, but it is "functioning as designed" and technically is not a bug. I would like to see this be an enhancement request, though. 😄
