5 Sauropoda, but only 4 recognised. This is not the first time I have seen this, and not just for Sauropoda.

@misty sparrow there is no code for the beta. Its a public thing, you just have to switch over in properties to the beta version
I keep getting errors for being in the dino mode and its saying "We can't find this thing in the main game"
also every so often I get a really shaky screen once I do a reset. Makes it hard to switch over, but once I get back to the dino mode the shaking is gone

- Fixed mutagen getting erased after doing a prestige on the main tree
- Fixed mission 8 taking forever to beat. We had the wrong Dinosaur type.
- Added info drill down on evolution trait cards.
- After rank 12 you still get over 100 mutagen per Data Artifact unlocked.
- Started working on localization for nodes.

Thanks for the quick response. I had to resort to changing my internal clock just to be able to unlock some of the missions. Some of them were being calculated as taking 1 - 2 years with non-passive rates.

Just rebooted - I had no tasks to complete at all for level 1 - gave me the asteroid right away

I was playing dinos on web for almost 4 days, and now it's gone. Only thing there is regular entropy based simulation. The dino icon is is still in the tree though.

@merry ledge there was an in icon on the side of the screen in dinos (mid screen), that took me back to primary simulation. But now there is no way to get back to dinos. What gives?

It feels too tedious to start all over again and go step by step after a restart from the first level especially since the animation( while they do look awesome) takes too long since that has to be done manually all the time.
Also when clicking on the skip animation when the screen shake is going on, the shake continues even after the next level is loaded.

I'm wondering what the base expectation is for time required to complete individual levels in dino mode? I'm at level 21, and my maximum allowable earnings is about 4 Qa per minute, but the individual challenges require in the ball park of 50+ Sx per challenge (i.e., get to 350 Ornithischia). This requires 23.7 years of ACTIVE production to finish only one challenge. Meaning it will take 230 years of active production, not passive, to finish these challenges. This is essentially a wall of broken-ness, that I'm hoping is something can be addressed.
The only workaround I've found is to change my computers clock so that the game thinks I've been idle for 300 years to get even a little bit of the way done these challenges. And I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's not the intended game mechanic 🙂

beta is really cool i like the method of gaining fossils directly from the lifeforms themselves; cooldown period is a great idea & is fun to get a good rhythm going for lots of fossils. one thing i could recommend so far is to increase the amount you're able to zoom out on the tech tree screen; it'd be nice to see more of everything

Skipped the asteroid animation going from level 9 to level 10. When it went to the dino tree, the screen kept shaking and was nauseating. The valley where you see all the dinosaurs was shaking too. Fixed by backing out of the dino bubble to the main game and then coming back.

I tried to make the Singularity, but the game reseted and I had to start all over again. Is there a way to save the game at a specific point and the reload it from that point? Because I don't want to try again and then have to start from scratch.
It's a fun game and educational, I gave it to my daughter (10 years old) so she could have a feeling of the evolution. Only thing I'm missing is a timeline, so she also could see the evolutiontimeline and get a feeling of that too.

I think there's something wrong with this since I have a rank 5 speed multiplier which multiplies by 16, but It doesn't show on the main dinosaur stat section. Just wanted to let you guys know.

Please, nobody get me wrong. This is the most educational game I've ever played and the game mechanics are unique, but the dinosaur branch is just a bit slow for my taste. I'm only still playing this BECAUSE it involves dinosaurs, most people childhoods (I'm assuming anyways). It's teaching me evolutionary traits that has a specific job (Saurischia's mobile/long, flexible neck trait lets them look behind them, which them protects from predators sneaking from behind.), I ever even though about why do the colossal, long neck dinosaur even have long necks (Although their long necks was developed to reach the foliage of giant trees). Also this dinosaur update is making me want to play Fossil Fighters again.
As well as wanting to watch the Jurassic Parks again.

Wait til you get to higher levels. Levels 18 and above technically take over 200 years to complete, and can only be completed by changing the internal clock of your computer. Dino mode is currently broken with no announced fix or acknowledgement of this problem with their mission structure.

I would say level 11 is close to the limit for the time frame. I found tow big cost jumps at the dinos which are delaying it to a near frustrating. 1st after low 10thT -> close to 100T or sometimes over it and 2nd after low 100thT -> close to 1Qa.
After this both jumps, the fossil income is too low to get further and you have to wait sometimes for hours just for 1 dino within the last 10 to finish the mission.

I feel like needing over 300 of a dino is crazy if it is before you have collected all the dinos. The prices of the dinos at that point are huge
and yes before someone says something, to test this and see what it takes to get through I have had to cheat with time HUGE and I can say that to get to level 18 it would take years

Why does it takes so long to even buy 10? It takes 46 minutes to get 62 Trillion from my compsognathus, but eveything costs triple or even quintuple (5x) that amount for 10. I could buy multiple of ones, but most clicker/idle games are able to let you buy 10 of stuff later in the game.

@merry ledge dinos need either an update or just scratch the entire project. It takes 100+ years to complete above lvl 12 in dinos, and this has been known since it came out. It still isn't fixed and there hasn't been an acknowledgement that it's been recognized. I can't play any more because it takes a year to complete 1 challenge right now. So....I guess I'll check back in another year to see if you've updated the game?

@split canyon I appreciate the effort that goes into this, and am not trying to take for granted the actual revenue generating activities you and the team likely have outside this game. In times of stretched resources, I'd settle for no update and a written update in the announements on what's been noted, what's planned to be fixed.
I've currently walked away from this beta for the time being due to the above problems with impossible progression barriers, but will gladly return if the communication lines open up and there's more game we can access and test for you. Cheers.

I've been working on this pterosaur quest for DAYS WITHOUT CHANGING THE SPEED VIA COMMANDS and this happens. Might as well mention it since nobody will probably notice it, but the geodes in the store(both free and darwinium) are bugged. If you select them to bring up a screen showing more details about it, it gives you the trait cards without buying or watching an ad(although either the ad button doesn't work or computers can't receive ads). Now I'm sitting on top of 126 copies of Archosaur's automate/speed Opisthopubic Pelvis trait along with dozens, if not hundreds, of copies of the other traits with no mutagens to upgrade them. I don't know how to feel about this.

Um... I just prestiged once because the Singularity forced me to.
Also, the game keeps reverting back to fullscreen mode whenever I switch to either main or dinosaur branches, as well as opening the game.

I had over 200 darwinium, made massive progress in both the regular simulation tree and the dino tree and now all of it is gone! It's one thing that all my progress reset, I can live with that but I paid for those dang cubes with my hard earned money and they just took them all away, just like that! This is not cool! I am playing the beta on my computer, when you advance a day and get two sharks, the game crashes, your save can get deleted and you will have to restart the game. However, if on your new save you continue to advance a day, when your game crashes(not everytime) you will get back your old save.

Hmm, so I figured out rank up and tap automation and speed up. On lvl 3. I think I found a bug tho
I had gone back to the main sim, bought stuff, tapped the point finger symbol that lasts 2 minutes, and before the timer was up, tapped the dino symbol to switch, stayed black for a few seconds, and main sim reappeared. Tried dino again and it worked normally.

You have a geode to open, but since only 3 quests can only be displayed, you'll have to complete whatever quests being displayed to get to it. In other words, it represents a completed quest that's in the background.

Ok, up to rank 8. As a criticism, I don't like the massive collection goal after the Asteroid is ready to rank up and get the next dino and automation for the dino learned that cycle. I do really enjoy the rebuilding aspect tho since the previous "knowledge" is automated.

Hey guys, at what point will my dinos produce (fossils?) On their own? The first three say "x produced every x seconds" but 40k taps in and still getting one by one. Do I need a certain number of one of these first dinos to start auto production?

Level 1 is manual tapping, I think. Was definitely manual until I got the auto upgrade

Up to rank 13 and it has really slowed down. It's all automated, but the amount of time it takes to leave the app open with no actions to take turned into a boring waiting game.
Just the amount of time it takes to buy something is just sitting there waiting. Just imagine sitting in front of your washing machine watching the clothes spin around. That's not a game.
If the offline passive income grew in pace with the costs, you could keep people coming back to the game more often.
Also, the reward for watching an ad could be just a tad higher. It doesn't keep pace either. So by rank 13, not worth it to start ads.
