well first get all your dinos upgrades up to Pterosaur to 2 and no further then upgrade the hell out of everything elselike the Pterosaur till its 2 sec with all that when you are in level 9 you will still have like 800 points to spend and make sure you get all your dino numbers as high as you can as you know at 10,25,50,100 and so forth you get the stuff

I was on v2.21 on Rank 9, and saw there's now v2.22 with hard Restart necessary. So I figured I'll do the Asteroid just to see what Rank 10 is like.
The two quests I didn't finish are still there, as well as the Asteroid. And I can keep Asteroiding to Rank 11, Rank 12, etc.
It's been working fine up to Rank 9 tho, is this the end of the beta so far?

No, after reaching Rank 10 the Asteroid button doesn't go away. So I can just keep doing the Asteroid over and over without building anything. Must be buggy, or they didn't develop past Rank 9 yet.

So even on v2.22, once I reach Rank 10, the Asteroid button never goes away and no more quests appear. No more quests means no more trait cards, so it's pretty much the end of the game. I wonder if this is a bug, or the devs just haven't made the content yet.

Of course, this is after five restarts...
...all of them at the point of Velociraptor.
The thing holding me back most, right now, is the lack of boost points. 1-4 per collection finished is not enough, especially with the slower and higher-income dinos.
We're talking 100 points needed, or more, and only getting 1-4 per collection finished, not to mention maybe getting the ones you need if you're really lucky, is definitely a stumbling block.
The quickest we could get that single boost, even getting 4 per collection finished and assuming we got the very dino we needed, is 3 resets. That's to go from rank 6 to 7, which is definitely necessary if we want to see income from a T-Rex in less than 9 hours.
This small number of points only seems to be happening for the higher-income dinos... Velociraptor, Brachiosaurus, and T-Rex, but it still heavily slows down production.

resetting in between rank would be nice ( resetting progress on the stage). But only a few time ( to limit farming and trivialising sub-sequent stage).
maybe one between stage 1-3, once between stage 4-6 and 2 between 7-9.

I think that one thing that will reduce the rex's timer will be the speed upgrades from the megabits on top of the speed upgrades from the dinos them selves.

Ozru, I would imagine that would be a problem in the coding regardless. You don't want an idle game to be unable to advance appropriately when idling. I also noticed that it wouldn't advance when I closed the window, though I assumed that was an issue with the save state in this flash version that would be self-corrected in the game itself since the normal game is able to track time passage.

@inner quail @split canyon I had the exact issue. I got stuck need 2 chalenges Just like in the picture but I could drop an asteroid then start again, even without creating a single dinosaur. I tried to do it several times to see if by clearing the targets it would reset but nope, was able to drop an asteroid right into the mid 30's range. I've reset it now to see if I can get it to fault out again.

You do still have the bug where at the very beginning (after a restart): the first time I get an Archosaur and the scene switches to the garden, the "LIFE CREATED" text never appears, so I can't click to continue. I have to refresh the webpage. This only happens once at the beginning, all subsequent dinos are fine.

Honestly the whole waiting mechanic is pure torture, iโd suggest removing it, or shortening the waiting time. Otherwise this might feel too separate from the main game.

the main game it took me a while to understand that reseting upgraded your multipliers and it wasnt just about the upgrades. I assume some similar mechanic comes into play with dinos after you unlock asteroid at will on lvl 10
but ye right now its just boring. a clicker that makes clicking worthless and the leaves idling the only thing to do after a few hours

I don't understand, we earn darwin cubes but i don't see any button to use them or to know how many we had. It'll be cool if we can buy mutagen with it because earning card is easy but the cost to upergrade is too high in my opinion (sorry for mistakes, english is not my mother tongue)

And I think I got an issue, or not... I left my computer unattended, but didn't go to sleep mode, and have it on like three hours, kind of. The Brachiosaurus earn 741 B each 38 minutes, I should have 2.61T at least, but when I checked I had less than 400 B.

How to accumulate 62 million metabits? They do not increase after 30 million. How to save?

@vestal lava check the amount of metabits you have and the ones you have collected... if the both numbers are similar, or the collected is bigger than the ones you already have is time to restart. When you do that (restarting) you will apply the new metabits and the multiplier will grow, that means you will get more ideas/entropy with the same invest, and will go further in your advance.
Normally if you have the same or double metabits collected is time to reset...

@vestal lava you only hve 3.8 m metabits working, and 25 m awaiting, just collect those 25, rinse and repeat until you get the 62 millions required for that... after you get all the improvements, you can get more metabits just to increase the multipliers and wait till the new segments (soon) be implemented in the game

Okay, I hope that the dinosaurs prices ripped literally out of "Adventure Capitalist" are temporary because I can't support this if it will be in final cut. Also I am not really fond of card based automating/speed increasing dinosaur upgrading mechanic. For me it kinda feels too pay-2-win.

This beta of the CtS doesn't attract me as well as the released version , this dinosaurus version is soo much repeatitive and less addictive for me :\
A reboot each time you unlock 1 new dinosaurus ... and requiered 3- 5 hours to get back the number of dinosaurus of the previous reboot ... repeat it by the number of dinosaurus ... and this game lose any interest to me . I did CtS completely + all reboot upgrade +
almost all achievements , but this Beta consumpt my interest after 6 - 8 reboots and i doesn't think i spend soo much time in CtS if the beginning was like this.

Regarding the beta of the dinosaurs, I think they are leaving the type of game which is a clicker, in this beta I do not need to click to get points.
Seeing that they have now decided to introduce the ages (mentioning the Mezosoic), I believe that for the game to make sense, everything should be divided into ages, and that the evolutionary tree be divided into mammals and reptiles at the same time; and an idea to implement: when a certain point is reached in the evolution of mammals, in order to follow the branch it is necessary to completely evolve the dinosaurs and the meteorite arrives. Given that dinosaurs are going to become extinct it would be a good idea to keep the type of beta points for dinosaurs.

Reset the Dinosaur beta, one the first dinosaur the animation plays but will not allow me to go back to the non animated screen. So unable to progress. The zoom and rotate functions, left or right clicking does not take me out to the main game. left clicking does gives tokens but nothing else.

Also, you can pop out a menu on the left that kind of works the same as the ones in the main game

@barren temple Yes I had tried all of that. The tree icon was missing, click left or right brought nothing. The slide out menu of the left was not visible either. The way I got round it was to refresh the page. Subsequently when the new dinosaur animation plays it acts as expected. Only on the first. Will try to recreate the issue later today.
Did a reset again and had the same issue. In the error log I have 3 critical errors:

No menu click generates tokens
Tried to do a reset on the Edge browser and got the same issue. I noticed that the "Life Created" caption does not appear. So I do not think that this is a cache error.

The generation system works differently in beta. You tap those Orange arrows you see on the top middle of one of the dinos and it'll start producing. If you get cards from the achievement thingies then it'll start giving you cards which will start producing automatically once a specific dino has a card linked to it @crude parrot

Once you see the "Asteroid" button become available, tap that and reset it. Each reset unlocks a new dino for you to get and the previous dino gets a card. You keep doing the achievement thingies to earn points towards level up and then do asteroid when you're ready

If you have already been playing for a while... first of all, thank you for testing it! Second, your save files may still work, but the tree might look odd. I would recommend resetting and starting from the beginning for optimal results.

I also have the problem where a lot of the upgrades don't actually halve the time
I think the Theropoda starts at 8 minutes and here I'm 6 upgrades in and it's halved only 3 times.

Looking at it again, maybe it's a feature, not a bug. If a species has multiple cards that double speed, you need to upgrade all of them to actually double speed. A bit of a feel bad, though, that extra cards for a species are a hindrance rather then a help.

Hey new update on web. Unfortunately this update also deleted everyone dino web save progress. We had to switch out the dino save system to be compatible with the main game.
VERSION 2.85 (10/28/19)
-SAVES HAVE BEEN DELETED. We had to reset progress because we flipped over to a new save format. This will allow players to switch back and forth between the main game and the dinosaur section.
- Fixed issue where Data Artifacts were giving were giving out cards that were not received.
-Added 3 epic card types each rank of an epic cards increase these modifiers ( Double all speed production , Double payout of all generators, 1/2 price of all generators )
-Reversed order of dino generators most expensive will be at the top of the scroll. - Archaeopteryx is now flying around the garden view.
- Fixed progression and unlocks of Dinosaurs and evolution trait card over the 31 ranks.
- Added Traits for Pterosaur and Pleisiosaur. All major Dinosaurs have two trait a speed boost and payout boost trait to upgrade.
- New icons for traits. They don't all look the same now hooray!

Not sure if this is a bug, and not sure why I haven't mentioned it before - once the stegasaurus unlocks, it drops below the ankylosaurus in the list. It's not a big issue, but annoying
The icons (on the cards at least) still all look like triceratopses once you get past that. The early ones seem okay

Hey the beta was down for while yesterday, our hosting provider was having issues allowing us to upload builds.

-Added MAX buy button now you don't have to click for ever. (note we noticed you don't get mutagen if you use multiple buy. This will be fixed shortly)
-You now get background idle! When you leave and come back to the dino section you will revive you background idle.

@echo tulip Have you restarted the game since the last upgrade? That kind of error can be caused by the targets being changed while you are still in the level

Yes I'm fully aware that it's possible to click each individual card one by one, wait for that card to open, read the text, close it, and click the next card, to know what they do.
I'm saying, it's not possible to know what they do without having to go into each one.

Just hit a fairly big issue in the beta. When hitting the singularity for the first time when on Mesozoic level 13, trying get the last Archosaur (out of 250!) - starting the reality engine again reset the Mesozoic valley also, but not the list of challenges at level 13. So I have to collect 150 Triceratops with NO TRAITS unlocked. All traits have been wiped, so I can't even gain enough cards to unlock them a second time as all the challenges are too hard. I assume this is an error and not a design, @merry ledge ?
All automation and speed bonuses gone, with no realistic ability to gain any new Traits.

Offline Mesozoic earnings don't seem to tally correctly. When in the main game I earn significantly less fossils than if I sit and watch the counters in the Mesozoic valley screen. Switching back to main game seems to earn correct Entropy and Ideas, but when switching back again to Mesozoic valley the fossil count is significantly less as if the dino counters haven't moved on correctly. @merry ledge running 2.94

Hi @merry ledge , same issue at 2.94 - hitting the singularity resets the traits but not the level and therefore ability to regain them:
Despite having to acquire 100 Pterosaurs, there is no way without the trait upgrades that this is possible.
