Well, fully upgraded expedition is way better than fully upgraded sentient android. But the expedition upgrades cost a lot. So it can be worth it to buy a few sentient androids to raise your income instead of waiting the long time to get expedition going.
And as Kitoko said, this goes especially for early game. Once you have enough reality engine upgrades and/or metabits, you don't really need the androids as stepping stone as much anymore.

the numbers on the right are more important; sentient android gives more earnings to cost by far
theres also the fact that the rover doesnt initially give a whole lot and its upgrades are quite expensive until you get the ball rolling

Human is the end of the entropy/biology part FOR NOW. There will be more after you move far enough in the idea part and even more when you unlock the glitch nodes through meso valley
Idea tree will give you three more generators after humans. And meso valley/glitch nodes like 8 other animal groups/generators
The idea tree itself has 19 idea generators.
But it seems you are one your first run, so you won't see everything yet. There will be a little suprise when you hit an idea generator called 'Singularity' (remember the game title?) and more stuff will be unlock afterwards

@near hull Rebooting/prestige will boost your income multiplier depending on the amount of metabits you gain through the reboot, so I'd recommend rebooting if progress has become slow.
