You can always buy more if you want. I think the last upgrades unlock when you have 150 or so of those. But they will probably still be ineffecient compared to humans.

You can keep going on. As with many clicker games, you will eventually reach a point where you have to start over from the start, but with boni that make the next round faster.

#

Each generator has it's own upgrades, so e.g. more humans won't unlock things for DNA.

#

Plus the very first round ends earlier and there are more things to see on the second round.
