I just discovered, as I was buying more of the nodes so I could achieve all the badges, that an offshoot of the di osaur realm appeared. Alligator something. I don't think it was there before. You have to buy 250 to achieve all badges for each node.

At what point do I start over again? When I reach as far as my current level goes or I am sick of the current level? Or if it becomes impossible to earn the amount they want for each new purchase? Or just plain whenever I darn well feel like it?

If by seeing birds, you mean that there are no birds, the closest you get is the archeopterys

but you have an advancement called "Birds" or "Avians" in the main simulation

while the game says you unlock it at level 22 or so, it really unlocks at level 25

I don't actually know how to see when I last played before today, but it feels like it was literally over a year ago.

Was before you got anything besides a sense of accomplishment from fulfilling the achievements, thing one.
