Hey lunch, hahah in fact there are tons of upgrades that are POSSIBLE like, there are sooooo many adaptations that animals made through years, like some fish adapted to the temperature of colder water just to run from predators, butter flyies developed different coulor patters just to blend with the local inviroment, pretty much like what wasps did, so animals even lost their natual smell because some of the predators had also adapted to sense it.

humans, in this VERY short period on earth had adapted is body, it's brain to funcion differently to survive.

even the plants had addapted themselves like for soooo many different reasons

and that's all to mentions that YES, even AFTER the "full grown" living creature had been formed the evolution HAD to keep going. but no essencial evolution happened BEFORE the "necessary" time of evolution hahahha like for example, nature developping legs AFTER any "ground-walking" creature, or eyes to creatures AFTER they developped the their eyes.

I mean, all of this could make the game even more challenging and fun, because there's a sense of "getting to know" what you play, understanding the "logic" of development and creating a sense of "ok, if I do this mmmmaaayyyybeee such creature feature could appear" or even to guess the next creature.
