In my experience the android/sentient android part of the tree is a waste of time.

#

If you have enough to buy androids, then until... super late reset levels, you're better off just buying more of the last few parts of the regular tree/rovers. If you can feasibly make it to sentients, then you're better off spending twice that time and hitting Human Expedition.

I was thinking that once the martian tech tree is finished, you could buy something that unlocks "Sentient Android Spacecraft". Once at least 10 of those are bought, it unlocks a solar system map. Going back to the S.A.S., multiple upgrades could be created that branch of the current upgrades for the Sentient Android, Such as "(Insert real or custom material) Fabrication, and "Advanced Artificial Thought".
