#"Head of Era Experiments" worker task not doing anything

Workers assigned to this task are not re-starting the research (workshop 3rd tab) despite having enough blue cubes to do so. Nothing happens on completion of previous rank until I re-start manually. Have tried multiple different workers in different slots, changing worker speed, verified that worker is not paused and the tick speed indicator is spinning, all other tasks are operating OK but this one does not.

Perhaps what's also related is that when the research reaches max, the worker will continuously drain blue cubes as if there is something to research, when in fact there is nothing to do.
