Overall Experience:
I finally got around to playing the demo and it was great! I love the alien world and how even the tiny village felt alive. Exploration was rewarding and loot felt balanced (not too much junk, not too much treasure, and was evenly spread out). There was plenty of equipment and fighting styles to create the character you want to play as. I cannot wait for the full game!

General feedback, notes, and suggestions:

  1. The graphics are great! It is an art style and I love it. Please, do not change it. It is one of the reasons why I am so interested in this game. I am so sick of games being "dark and gritty" or trying to look like real life.
  2. Although, while I love the graphics, I have to say the game felt a little bit too dark overall and some things were hard to see. I would appreciate a brightness option.
  3. Adding voice acting is completely unnecessary. The text based gameplay is what gives the game it's charm.
  4. The character creator needs more options.
  5. There were many items in the demo labeled as 'placeholder'
  6. The rest mechanic is great but please let us interact with beds! And more furniture overall!
  7. The bow needs a way to get more arrows (you pick up few in dungeons and the merchant only sells a few). I assume weapons crafting in the full game will fix this.
  8. I hope cooking is implemented in the full game. Having raw meat heal you better than potions is weird....
  9. I'm unsure what all the misc items do. I assume they will be used for crafting in the full game. If so, I hope they are categorized better, such as alchemy ingredient or weapon crafting material.

  1. When selling items to merchants: your carry weight does not change until after you sell items. This makes it difficult to decide what to sell when you are trying to make inventory space. Also, the scroll bar for choosing amount of the same item to sell is a bit difficult to use.
  2. I like the quickslot bar but I would like to be able to use the mouse scroll wheel to change between items.

  1. Some of the armor skill requirements felt too high.
  2. There were a few places that I got stuck and had to jump my way back to where I started from. I don't remember the exact locations though and I'm unsure if this was done on purpose to make us use "correct" paths.
  3. The map needs work. It seems to just be a overlay of the world and was pretty glitchy. It's too busy because there are many of the same thing (ex: trees) and the top layer of the world blocked the bottom layer (ex: it looks like your character is on top of a rock when they are really under it). The player icon needs to be bigger and bolder. Overall, it was hard to determine what I was looking at. A temporary fix for the map may be to just make it plain: remove all the detail and just have a blank map with points of interest

  1. Please let us leave control/input keybinds blank. I appreciate having two options to open the map or inventory but being forced to have two was annoying.
  2. I greatly disliked the Steam Next Fest limited time challenges. The challenges were essentially just FOMO elements in a singleplayer game. This is the type of thing that AAA studios would get heavily criticized for. I understand it was just a simple way to attract new players and engage with current players. It still felt wrong and I hope there are not more of these. Although, based on player feedback, it looks like there will be more..

This was probably too much for a single post. Sorry if I repeated things others may have already mentioned. You can probably tell I am very excited for this game😄
