I moved one car to Car Lift 1's spot while the lift was installed in Car Lift 2's location. In Garage Editor mode, I moved the lifter to Car Lift 1 and got some door clipping.

Please don't hijack a bug thread to ask a different question. But, to answer your question, the demo is two-fold. It gives players a chance to experience the game and provide feedback. Sometimes that feedback is bug fixes or things they want tweaked. And, for developers, they get immediate feedback on what works/what doesn't and bugs that they may or may not have caught earlier in the dev cycle so they can fix them prior to Go-Live.
