NHL Goal horn pack

The many goal horns of the NHL actually aren’t licensed, just think it would be cool to hear everyone’s favorite teams’ goal horns when they score. Maybe some from the minor leagues too they got some good ones.

I think the only exception is the New York rangers, that horn is specific to MSG.

they've been copyrighted for awhile

u could do something that sounds similar maybe, prob risky tho

could also add a way to make your own with a preset of horn styles and combining them

I can’t find anywhere that clearly states that the NHL licenses them but there’s more reading to be done. But yeah I know EA NHL lets you do that and that would be interesting but could also go south real quick 💀

Kahlenberg makes most of the goal horns in the NHL and im pretty sure they're all copyright protected could be wrong tho. idk how custom horns could go south tho if its preset horn blasts

I played those games and even if you try to make it bad it wouldnt be any worse than some of the goal horns already in the game, like literal mokey noises after a goal.
Make it a similar way - A choice between a "horn" sound, or no horn sound, and choice of "flair" or no flair.
So goal horns now have 2 sub categories, and an example would be you could now combine "Fog Horn" Horn with the "Nice" or "Oh yeah" Flair
Those games have options for longer horns that dont make sense in the context of slapshot, but some sort of limited slider to alter certain goal horns could be a cool idea

yeah they would have to alter most of them which might save them in terms of copyright

but it would be a lotta work for something that may not be all that worth it but some of the horns would be cool in game

Ironically I'm pretty sure MSG personally requested the song (funnily enough, named Slapshot) to be in NHL 15

as a rangers fan i remember when they did and i was PISSED WHEN IT DIDNT HAPPEN. MSG has licensed the horn and the song as one thing, and im like 99% sure that the horn is literally off a subway train/locomotive.

I play NHL Legacy on emulator and they have it there, but it's not in 14.
