#In-Game Voice Chat 🗣

already been suggested, only real issue is that it would be insanely hard to moderate properly + extra toxicity
id suggest just trying to get 1/2 others to play with u and vc with them
just have to live with the bad in free speech, just do a report system, so if they say something insane. THAT WOULD BE awesome
ok but it doesnt stop people from saying those things in the first place. we have text chat as it encourages fast typing which means if youre going to type, you better say something important. you can say whatever over voice chat without having it be a consequence on your game. ppl go through harassment every day b/c of they way they look, sound, the way they swing. And the last thing they want to hear at the end of the day is all of that over again. in a perfect world id say yes to voice chat but let's be fr: lot's of players are toxic
Free speech doesn’t mean u can just be completely toxic to people and say slurs
@tepid atlas
Okay, Ill just say this, I'm not going to argue or anything as you guys do raise points. Atticus, you don't have to use voice chat, like all games, you can turn it off. As well, you can also say things in text chat that have no impact on the game. It also makes players AFK when they do type. In turn making the game less enjoyable for other players when that teammate is trying to type. Whether that be vital information like what positions to play, or feedback on what to do better. And again, if your voice is weird and you don't like toxicity, then turn off voice chat, and for your own sake, you might as well turn text chat off.
@crimson hawk
It does actually,*** FREE*** speech. Last time I checked (which was 5 minutes ago) to be free means, "not under the control or in the power of another; able to act or be done as one wishes" (Oxford Dictionary). So unless free doesn't mean free, your just dead wrong. If you're from a country that is making there own definition of free, like Canada, UK and more, then I can understand why you say that, and its just a difference in perspective.
Free speech in your presumably United States context means free and public expression of opinions without censorship, interference and restraint by the government. Last time I checked, we are not a government.
haha, true that. Would voice chat be on the horizon in the future? Thanks for reading!
It's not on the roadmap currently
😦 Thanks
please do not let me hear the other team while im taking the puck up ice lmao
VOIP would be amazing, just like it is in real hockey. Make it echo and sound further away when your down the ice from teammates and allow for actual communication like on the ice. People can say whatever they want in this world, don't just give them power over you.
🙏 amen
sadly this isnt real life its a hockey game and theres a reputation to uphold
