Couple reasons. Because there's close to 1000 cosmetics, showing them all as an option right away causes choice fatigue for a lot of people, meaning the amount of options are so overwhelming they don't choose any at all. It's also a great way for us to show when there's new cosmetics, if they're all in there all the time, there's no reason to check out the shop every now and then; so now we can put in new items and people will see them. It also causes the shop to be a more stable source of revenue from the financial side, most days are more or less the same amount of money because of the way it works and that gives us more security as a studio.
