Thing with physics is if we move the stick in a way that it tilts to take a slapshot, it likely would be a hell of a mess physics wise and people would get stuck or worse.

It's not even a risk at this point, it's bound to just not work with how Slapshot is made and would create chaos and frustrating gameplay and bugs. I'm the first who would love that and I tried to mess with it but it's not possible. An example too; it's not without reason that the puck has to stay flat at all times or that you can't drop the stick on the puck; it's just better that way to avoid major bugs with physics.
I'd be the first one to implement it if it was possible.

stuff that gets added from community suggestions are either 1. easy and quick to add 2. highly requested 3. something erv agrees the game would be better with
practically no one is asking for this and the amount of effort it would take is crazy
- it would change the way the game works and erv tries not to mess with that stuff a ton
