Not how population works

They will just play each other and filter back into where it is now, only delaying the inevitable. The starting elo is silver 2, having them be able to jump up the around plat 2 means they can really get there anyway. The problem is they only play against each other rn until they get up to plat

Theres a large population in silver rn actually, around high silver - low gold is the big pop area. Unranked players can win 2-3 games off the bat and end up in the low plat-high gold range

Silver 2 isn’t really mid elo, I’m “high elo” at 2300 and they are almost 1000 behind me at 1400

Silver 2 is a rank set and a half behind that

The problem is the pop is 90% new players rn, so you can’t have 90% of the pop in bronze that isn’t how mm works no matter how you organize it. So they’ll filter for 90% of the ranks, the better ish ones being at the top but still ass

Just give the game a month or so and the ranks will fix themselves as the pop won’t be 90% new players anymore

The trick rn is just queuing with your mates

I don’t suffer the same issues as the lowest people the game allows me to play with are ~2000 unless I’m partied

I was thinking abt how to fix this actually and I sorta thought abt making ranks not actual numbers but rather percentages. So its like a bell curve and forces most players into gold
