There is so many dead / inactive guilds at the moment i believe part of the issue is it costs 50gems to create a new one so literally anyone can create one but not everyone has the patience to wait for people to join

May I suggest upping the cost of creating one ( 1000? ) this way only people who are dedicated to raising a guild will even think starting one.

This would also encourage newer players to join already active communities rather than start their own guild with grand visions that will never come to pass (see: the number of people who request guild leader role)

Also- would be good to purge dead guilds periodically, so new players searching aren’t drowning in loads of really bad guilds that make them think their only option is to make their own

I'd suggest that the first guild you create to be at 100-200 gems and afterwards to increase to a higher number + a periodic purge of dead guilds + a guild-warning that if you go under x number of players or have more than x number of inactive members, your guild will be purged

That would be awesome, we’ve faced several guilds in GW that have 20% activity and then somehow all 25 knights of that guild pile onto 1 node and fortify it to lvl20 in a matter of minutes 🤔
