#Don’t compensate GW outage with orders

[This post assumes the plan is to give a flat number of orders to everybody, rather than return exactly what people lost]

Compensation should be gems or ideally an additional day of the war.

Earning more orders than your opponents, and blocking them from getting orders/ getting them to waste orders is THE key strategy of GW. The outage burnt a different number of orders for different folks, and prevented active-for-reset guilds from capturing order nodes to increase their advantage for the next day.

Giving out a flat number of orders entirely undermines how the war works - “winning” guilds will get shafted because they lost more orders, and get shafted more by their competition getting new orders to weaken their control of the map.

Just give gems! People can buy orders with gems, or choose not to and use the gems to make up for other lost rewards.

Given how many wars I end up with a bunch of extra orders ... Yep.

And let us distill Orders after a war if unused.

Update: It was stupid last time, would be even worse if they do it again now

So that was fun! does this mean I lose the 4 Orders they so graciously gave us! Oh well, thanks for memories ... that was fun while it lasted.

I agree that giving out a flat number of orders did not fairly treat all guilds. Some teams work for hours to set up for those last 30 minutes, while some teams just don’t care.

Some teams suffered losses due to the outages, but many outright benefited from them. Yet they all received extra orders, generally hurting the teams who care and rewarding those who do not. I share the frustration.

Midoki had to act fast in this situation. If they had done nothing, they would have come across as though they didn’t care. While I do not agree with what they did, I can understand why they did it, and I appreciate their effort.

To be frank, I don’t want compensation. I want changes.

People have been asking to either eliminate the Control rewards or introduce a rolling reset time to alleviate these problems for a very long time. If they continue to ignore them, these people won’t stick around forever.

I’m convinced they don’t have developers that can make deeper changes to the game anymore - every tiny change takes months to roll out, while leaving all sorts of things by the wayside that should obviously get done (like Bacon Shards, higher level portal enemies, etc)

# tame axle I’m convinced they don’t have developers that can make deeper changes to the gam...

The only explanation for the lack of hero shards is that they wait a set period of time to make the people that spent for Bacon feel that their purchase was well worth
Stuff like higher level portals I believe is waiting for more of the player base to make it through Atlantica, since only the devs know the playerbase statistics
And I’m sure they are working on other long term projects in the background
I just hate that everything needs to be so secretive, and I just wish that we could get more information, even if it’s just “this is a selection of what we are currently working on, there’s other stuff that we can’t show you just yet though”
Right now, there’s only 2 things that we can assume are in development, if you can even call it that, the new ER boss, and the next event, which only really needs work by the design department, as everything else is just the same from the last blood moon
