I like the idea in principle. I am afraid though that it might be difficult to get right. Who can withdraw what when? Preventing abuse is not easy.

How about if you are a member of a guild you gain guild slots added to your total inventory slots. The guilds can buy more slots with war rewards.
If you leave or get kicked, the excess of your choosing goes to your inbox and you have 30 days to deal with those items.
