simple solution to newer players having a slim to no chance at attaining an entire skin set from previous events (even with 200 redux chests of them)
event specific redux customization/equipment chests that replace legendary equipment & regular customization chests on the event reward track
this would still keep older skins rarer and more exclusive than newer ones but still relatively attainable

Would really help removing the green from the chest, but Fulcanelli idea is also good, limit the pool to specific sets cuz tbh opening 5-15 redux chests and only getting greens and blues is not ookie dookie time

Regarding previous event customization, it should be accessible to anyone. I am in favor of purchasable individual item, a dedicated shop either in gems or the currency of your choice.
But looting for acquiring a single item diluted massively with others gears, I am sorry to said that but it’s currently gambling pay to get green items.
The true is any players aiming for a specific gear will never get it, it’s pure randomness, and even so the chance to get green item is this high that it’s strongly criticized on dedicated side channels.
