I really don’t know how to ask this in a way that doesn’t come off a little rude, but are there any planned updates to the game coming?

This could be proper content, or even just UI/QOL tweaks. There hasn’t really been any changes since January, with the hero challenge rollout (which itself is a relatively small amount of new content).

As a longtime player that really likes the game it would be great to have more, but I also get it that there is a cycle to these things and maybe Midoki has sort of decided that the game is complete? If so it would be appreciated if you could signal that more directly.

I don't think the game is complete.
I have only played a year but talking to most folks that have been around longer, it seems they do 1 big update a year with some smaller stuff between

I agree that there is a ton of good material here, and there are plenty of great directions for the team to go. It’s more about whether they are actually going to do that or just endlessly double down on guild wars.

The next update is also apparently focused on guild wars, which doesn’t feel like a great sign.

The game is not complete. We are currently actively working on a stack of new stuff, but I'm not actually allowed to talk too much about it until we have dates firmed up. I am hoping to get a player facing roadmap up at some point, so people can see what's coming in the next update/what's in development/what's been concepted, with very precise descriptions of what each category means, but I need to get the go ahead from Those That Sit On High. I'll give another prod today.

I am absolutely delighted to say that we've got multibuy in on one of our dev builds, so I'm hoping that will be rolled out in the next client update (not server patch), because it's beautiful.

Good points… I actually would like to see more frequent hero challenges for two reasons… we could learn better combos of heroes through that gameplay and we’d learn lore a lot better. It’s been fun with the one’s we’ve had so far. Definitely wish it was at least monthly or more frequent than that.

I just saw this suggestion and I liked it (thumps up) and then I noticed the date it was made, so I can’t help but wonder: ever since you made the suggestion, has anything of value been changed/added? (except for the three new heroes)

They added some good QOL stuff like multi buy and persistent indexing of chests in the vault, but I think content has basically been static since the Atlantica rollout, focusing more on events and HC stuff. Unbound realm is new.

It’s looked a lot like monetization of the game, shortening events and pumping out lots of things with point tracks to encourage people to buy passes. There has been very little to do in endgame since guild wars wrecked the shard economy.

I’m pretty bleak about the outcome. I really liked this game for a really long time and it seems unlikely that much else is coming.

I’d like to see some actual features that a new, new. Like something that’s an addition to the game. Some new animations, new guild stats or some new things to play around with. A new enemy type, a new weapon, some new gauntlets would be cool.. to go along with a new weapon. A staff or idk mace or something. I’ve been thinking for a long time about adding a hunter setup for the knight- bow/arrow and gauntlets to accompany

The last new new update, I think, was DOD, which has a legit different mechanic and strategy than what existed before and IMHO is the most fun part of the game for current endgame players.

But yeah, at this point I don’t even care if it’s novel- the grind is the fun/addictive part of the game and they should restore that
