I posted this in #guild-wars yesterday, but I think it’s better suited here:

Please Midoki, please I beg of you, can we have a discussion about nodes giving rewards only at the end of the day. The “Control” rewards.

It means that gameplay only matters in the last hour so guild wars are determined by time zones and when you load up the game. If there are reasons that alternatives aren’t in place, could it just be explained? And then people will hopefully understand. I defended guild wars at first because it was new, and wasn’t going to be perfect, but as time goes on there is less and less excuse as to why this hasn’t changed. Guild Wars has potential to be awesome!

I think some people’s suggestions can appear as harsh criticism, but the intent is the same: we’re all trying to make suggestions for everyone to enjoy the game. Again, if you want to shoot down this suggestion - go for it. But it would be nice if we could just understand why.

often my guild is backed into a corner and the only way we can get a bit of anything is a last 30 minute run so the more powerful guilds cant take the nodes back before the end of day

i think the way it is enables weaker guilds to still get a little something.

yes it is timezone dependent but i think the current methodology favors weaker guilds.

there are many things wrong with guild wars that need a fix before we look at this

this is just bad game play. The GW is active 24 hours, why is only 30 minutes of that important and time zone dependent? The problem you have is matchmaking. It sounds like you need to be better matched with guilds at your level in order to make thing more competitive.

nope on this occasion the matchmaking is fine...the game just doesnt know that 4 members of our guild are a family and are away on holiday and not participating.

i still have no problem with the end of day rush. i think it favours weaker guilds

If you are a weaker guild you only take what the strongest want it. Example: if they are much stronger than you guild, they will add a block at your home so you could not move!

The most important part of the war starts 1 hour before the reset. They should add a timer who got the highest timer for that node would win the reward.

The strongest team in war today are related to people that can attack 1 hour precious the reset. That is it
