it does
a better way to get the fumes out allows the engine to get more clean air
In the most basic sense yes it does. Although realistically and on a greater scale in production cars it only really accounts for a little over 1% of the overall power reduction
and that only matters when you're holding down the pedal and really getting past standard operating temps
for daily drivers, that's not worth the 2-3x more emissions from sitting at an intersection or only going 0-100kmh once in a while
yes especially with boosted cars
i get the concept behind why boosted cars benefit more from an aftermarket exhaust compared to a naturally aspirated car i can't really string the right words together lol
to my understanding, it's all about the flow of air regardless if the car is na or boosted
Turbo is one of the most exciting words in the world of cars. Twin turbo, bi turbo, big turbo, twin scroll. Turbos make cars more efficient, faster and they make awesome blow off valve noises. How do they work? What is boost? What is the difference between twin turbo and bi turbo? What are the benefits and disadvantages of each?
Bart teaches u...
here's a video that explains how a turbocharger works if you don't know how they work
*Boosted cars with altered turbos
saves wastegate and blowoff from extra shit leaving the exhaust side of the head(s)
if a wastegate spring locks open or shut it will under or overboost/boost creep which can just cause a blown bearing
got itttt
The thing is mоdding something like that requires a lot more complexity since the factory turbos are actually an eco alternative application for normal cars
It's not like the turbo in a F40 or 288 GTO Ferrari. They are in to make power. In the Supra, RX7 FD, and GT-R R34 they were sequential (they work binary) which is why people swap the turbos out for one. They only make 0.90bar or 13psi which is lower than a Turbo Civic Sport nowadays (14.1psi or ~1.0bar)
Sorry for the big paragraphs but it's a cheap job without the building for prevention part.
that's actually really interesting
i never fail to learn something new from you haha
thank you, I like to put a lot of effort in with informing
mate sent me this in my dms. Don't be like this lad

Subaru Impreza STi 22B Recreation review: Real Gran Turismo Restomod built to order. The 22B was a limited edition Impreza STi sold in 1998 to commemorate 40 years of subaru car company and three WRC titles. 400 were sold to the Japanese Domestic Market, 16 in the UK and a couple in Australia.
Even Colin McRae had to pay for his!
Today these...

22B is the generation right? The Hawkeye?
2.2 litre engine
apparently 22B is a hexadecimal for 555 which was their sponsor at that time
Ahhh okay
it's a mean eye. 1st gen
hawk eye was 3rd iirc
2008-2014 or something
Oh, no, they say he's got to go
Go, go, Godzilla (yeah)
Oh, no, there goes Tokyo
Go, go, Godzilla (yeah)
Spotted Godzilla in the wild.
blue oyster cult nice
Japanese market version is good
They made a ton of them which I think is crazy
they made over 43 thousand units of R32 GT-R which is so nice
I say this because I was trying to ID if it was an Australian market one. A true Godzilla
How can one distinguish it?
thankfully
you actually sent the most obvious part
the tail lights. The Aus. market GT-R had amber outer rear tails
other than that, reflectors on the sides
they had no region specific trims there
yes
Also never noticed front bumper differences
that's on all of them
they were optional on any after 1990
They're called "N1 vent bumper"
For turbo right?
Intercooler yes
in N1 they had to basically make production versions of any parts they used in their cars they raced
It looks weird for my taste
and the N1 cars had extra vents for more intercooler surface area contact without changing the drag significantly
I could maybe scrape up photos of original filings to the Japanese touring car governing body but it's a bit out of my way rn
don't think so no
Do you consider the other generations a Godzilla? Or just the r32?
the R32 was the only R chassis car they sold outside of domestic market
Really???
Just the R32 and mostly only the AUS models
Damn I c
The AUS trim has the Nissan badge?
Not the S shape badge
Right?
Found this Gtr for sale in AUS,but just wanted to double check if that’s what you’re referring too
it's this
on this red car it's hard to see
the left one though has the outer ring lighter than the inner circle of the tail lamp
you can see the side reflector over the GT badge too
Ahh okay, that’s what inspired the tail lights for the r34 right?
The scheme reminds of it that’s why,but it could just be pure coincidence
I think it's more of an analytic decision by Nissan. It was proven late that having amber sections on the tails reduces the amount of rear-end collisions in most night time and faulty bulb instances
because it's specific to a signal rather than a quick tap of the brakes
America needs that logic
There are studies linked below that demonstrate a tangible safety benefit of amber turn signals. You might want to check them out. Though it might be small, the benefit is demonstrably there.
This has always bugged me, and no one talks about it. Our automotive lighting regulations in North America are stupid when it comes to tail lights. Thi...
Interesting 🤔
this one has Japan market reverse lights and tail lamps.
the reverse lights on the AUS GT-R were in between the pairs. The Japan ones had them on the lower section of the reg plate
the 34 had the single reverse lamp next to the plate. The R33 had it below the passenger rear.
Bro I liked this video
Looks like a FTO to me
the difference between the 1st and 2nd place in LMP2 at 24 hours of Daytona at the finish
niceeee
Base model but I’m not really tripping
I want to learn about cars(specifically this one)and I don’t mind tinkering with it
My other plan is getting the 190e-2.6 but keeping at as stock as possible
So this one wouldn’t really “hurt” me
When you get the chance, can you send me a list or brands I should look into?
$1200 doesn’t seem bad
Considering it’s an actual investment,if it works out, cool but at least I was able to learn
Sadly it’s not the case for some in the US
But then again, everyone has different financial situations
I want to do a livery on it,or make it an itasha
The slantnose 911 will have to wait for now
a what?

Oh
Must-Have Tools for general automotive maintenance:
• Tool Bag/Box
Anything works as long as it's comfortable. Something in polyester, nylon, cotton/canvas if lucky
• Torque Wrench in 3/8"
(Anything pre-calibrated)
This will do most things with the wheels and brakes along with the breaker
• Breaker Bar in 3/8"
(16inch length or more)
Non-ratcheting for any purpose, so you don't strip studs or lugnut threads with a impact gun.
• 3/8" Socket Wrench + Socket Set
(mm for any non-Western vehicle + some SAE for imperial hardware)
Anything with a good ratcheting mechanism in a chrome finish + good handle (rubber/poly) will do any job on the body panels and some parts of the engine bay
• 12-18v Cordless Impact Wrench in 3/8"
(Milwaukee brand if possible)
Just to break any stiff things loose such as suspension, bushing, brake, panel bolts
NOTE:
This is not a precision device.
Small Items
• 1/4" to 3/8" Socket Adapter
(Small to bigger)
• 1/4" Torque Wrench
(Also pre-calibrated)
Optional:
• 1/2" Torque Wrench
This is for torquing down axle nuts and bigger components (I recommend renting or just borrowing these if needed)
• 1/2" Socket(s)
For axle nuts (usually anything 32mm and above)
• 3/8" Impact Sockets
In 15 and 17mm (old JDM cars usually have this size)
NOTE:
Search up the general size for the brake, suspension, and etc hardware bolts that get torqued down. (You can just break them loose without a breaker bar this way)
@hazy gull can I have the message above pinned?
Good one
Low profile jack is a must for low cars
but that goes without being said like an oil catch and funnel
Oh dude
hmm?
an SAE guide would be nice if you have one
I have one in my head for measurements
how many ccs you have and what SAE you should use
For milimetres is simple. I go by the fact that 1/2" is 12.71mm and 5/8" is ~15mm
there's a small infographic
what about cc specifically is needed? From cubic inch engine size? or engine litres?
....ain't that both the same?
yes technically
1500cc is ...1.5L
just about that yes
Cause sometimes you need different SAE oil for different engine capacity
I'd just search those up or read the owner manual if available
I'm sure most four-stroke engines above 1.0L will use an oil rating measurement that can be recommended by any autos shop.
Good shit as always God,thank you 🙏
I figure you already have screwdrivers, hex keys, a hammer and pliers.

Zipties, tape maybe, since you're dealing with Euro, you might need a wire stripper/cutter/crimper in the future
yes sirrski mr car
i really needed this actually thank you very much

@split ravine the version in these videos of the S13 generation spanned from '89-*94 in the united states, southern canada, and mexico only
the rest of the world outside of Japan had the "200sx"
with a higher output motor than both the japanese and american ones
the one you linked in #orbit-chat was a V1 240sx with a 140hp 2.4L no turbo motor.
Ooo
that's a S14 200sx
it's the same as the Silvia of Japan
2.0L turbo available
made over 220hp

they are even more crazy. Longer, wider, more power. But recently been featured in rap mvs so prices going up

They asked us to make a V6 engine on solidworks
it is extremely frustrating and hard
but I must say, my respect for cars have gone 📈
Just a basic design with no regard for cooling channels or internal pressures, right?
What was the hard part?
hopefully not
so far
the engine block
stupidly annoying
No worry, you'll get it. It's easy. Honestly they should have had you model inline first
The learning curve is real
but i do find solidworks easier now

speaking of ferrari i watched this today ..
The 288 GTO marked the revival of the designation “GTO”, for Gran Turismo Omologato. In Ferrari’s world, those three letters are holy. Ferrari was looking to compete in the FIA’s Group B, now considered to be one of the most legendary eras of racing. To do so, the car needed to be homologated for competition, which meant 200 examples had to be p...

Are hellcats common in the uk or Europe or at least American muscle cars?
No no, maybe a few ecoboost Mustangs. American V8 is not a hot export when the scene is hot hatches.
rarely see a real V8 in the EU + UK
maybe a dozen Mach 1s across that continent. Their idea of a Gran Tourer is already much more worth buying with the price and lux of domestic... they buy a Jag or AM instead for the same price as a rare V8 Mustang that is competing with other tourers
It's either rubbish trims only or rubbish trims + the most expensive one.

oh they do the Fabia is a hatchback as well but they are 1.0, 1.2 or 1.5
Oh so there is
How about the amount of small families or just a normal Joe using it?
Cause I reckon gas is not really cheap there
I mean people don't really use cars that have a massive consumption over here
if you have a car that is above 10l/100km that is already a lot
Kia and Hyundai are popular nowadays, Škoda of course as well but you see a lot of Renaults, Peugeots etc.
I live in a village so people mostly buy used cars and there is a massive variety of brands that are cheap over here
by popular/staple 1.3L car did you mean like what is my favourite or what is popular where we live?
More like the GP's favourite
the new Fabia uses mostly the 1.0 engine though

ok car people what do I buy that's cheap reliable and safe
Safe? Oh I don't know that haha
💀
what kind of vehicle are you looking for?
Petrol, Diesel? Truck or sedan? Used and old or used off a car lot? (big price difference)
Honda Civic hatchbacks and Toyota Corollas are always reliable and cheap
I know it's cold where you are. since you are a software dev, I'd think you just need one for daily tasks right?
yeah i've never had a car but it's about time i get one so i can visit places that the bus doesnt go to
My dad is a car mechanic and always up talks old volvos (especially his old belowed 240), also they are plentiful here in finland
YES

i would rather have as small as possible lol
something as long as it is and rear wheel drive is not very intuitive for beginners
yes
im scared of getting stuck in a parking lot or something
i mean i've had my license for what 5 years but i drive something like twice a year
He's said often that volvos use japanese made gearbox which is apparently good thing, I don't know the details about that
weeb gearbox

Aisin-Warner company (Japan)
Much better than the German ZF transmission certainly. It's well documented
is vw golf good
oh
My dad calls it "klonkswagen", you'll get it as fin
Golf, the Corolla/Toyota Matrix
lmao
they're decent as small cars. Golf is much more of a finnicky vehicle
They come in diesel or petrol versions though unlike a lot of Japanese hatches
Any of those Corollas, Civics, and Golf from the 2008 and before can be had for around €5-6k
I only mention it because vw does diesel engines better than their petrol haha
oh really
Yeah, as far as the small engines go
they're more efficient than their petrol engines.
in power and fuel usage
Honda Jazz is good too. Very small and reliable. I know a lot of Japanese actually race them
ok that one just looks like a toy
they really are, they're very inexpensive though which is nice.
The best I can do is recommend a Honda Civic from 2008 or VW Golf from 2006 and before for 5k in euros
They will go anywhere as long as roads are paved, they fit 4 people decently. Safety varies (Civic gets the edge) and they are very common. So it's not expensive to repair.
the 8th gen civic si platform (06-11) is great if you plan to modify your car too
trying to not get too technical but yes that generation of Civics is what I mean. They are very good cars for any lad
i can vouch i’ve driven my cousin’s 8th gen si a few times, it’s a fun car for sure
the gear pop out issue is common on 8th gens though just throwing it out there, but if manual isn’t really your thing then you can go with the base model and not worry about that
idek how automatic works i've never driven one
honestly me neither but i've heard there's a torque converter
@brave rampart can explain
The automatics work in that generation. So not to even worry
point is manual is not a problem
because that's all i know
Automatic is just a very simple experience. It's just one foot driving. Throttle when you want it to move. Brake when you don't want it to
It's only if you don't match revs into gear hahaha
it's called "balking" the amount of American drivers that experience it is actually at a higher rate than other countries
just a fun fact
yeah it sounds stupid simple i just dont have any exp
but maybe it would be less stressful
clutching stressful for you?
driving in general
ahhh shit
sometimes you just have to wait for the right time to build comfortable experiences
You rarely drive though so maybe you should just push yourself to do it weekly with a practise vehicle
or the one you end up buying
perhaps

Hey, got a question here.
Anyone tried an FM transmitter here?
my fam has a suzuki swift and the car doesn't have a bluetooth feature on it's sound system and i found a product that kinda solves the problem
it's like a device that is essentially a smol sound system that can transmit fm frequencies
was wondering if you guys have any experience on it and if so, i would like to have some reqs
my only experience with it is that my brother uses it that's about all I know
hmm nice to know that some people uses it. it's the first time that i have come across like a device like this.
idk if this might help but ive used this in my old toyota and it works
but thinking about how the device works, it's a great way to bypass a dated car sound system without breaking the bank
but dont expect the audio quality is as good though, since its transmitted through radio
hmmm nice to know that, though i rather have music that i like playing than radio music kek
yeah i use one basically every day
because no aux or bluetooth
i'd save up for an android carplay
how much usually an android carplay goes for?
it depends on the specs, i just went for the cheapest one lol
it costs roughly like a 2gb ram budget tablet, but the installation fees may be different
yee for now an fm transmitter would be fine for my use case
i used this one before if ure wondering
but i can see the benefits of having an android carplay and i saw videos of how-to install vids and it looks kinda easy that you can kinda diy?
or maybe im overestimating myself lol
if ur familiar with car stuff then go for it ig
they work amazingly. Just make sure it stays connected to your device and doesn't pop out the port
Dial it into a frequency that is unused in your area and have at it.
Replacing "head-units" (radio/cd/entertainment console-s) in a car are simple looking jobs and they sometimes are, but it depends on the car. Not because of the difficulty. It's the wiring sometimes. They either work with the new system or the radio
itself as a anti-tampering/theft measure that completely ruins the centre console

maybe one day when im in a stable financial position kek. I would like to just over mod an old car just for the heck of it
Today we take a perfect, low-mileage, fully restored 288 GTO for a test drive down Miami's beautiful Old Cutler Road and discuss its place in Ferrari history.

me too
any cars in particular you would wanna modify?
oh man it'd be so cool to have a car that's the same of your birthyear
that's a fairly common idea that new drivers enjoy. It is pretty good
well for me 1998 has BMW M3, Honda Civic both hatchback and sedan, Honda Prelude, Lamborghini Diablo
, Lotus Esprit ,Mazda MX-5, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Mitsubishi 3000GT, Subaru Impreza, Volkswagen Golf, Volkswagen Beetle
those are the cars that I think are cool from that year and I'm definitely biased af because of videogames

actually there is this thing in Japan that was getting popular lately
it's called PVC drifting
they take kei cars deflate the tires and put a cut pvc pipe over it before inflating it a little bit
it allows you to drift at like 10 km/h and all you are damaging is the pipe which you can just remove and cut a new piece
Alexi tries out PVC drifting, where cheap kei-class cars can drift around using PVC pipe rings on the rear wheels.

great question
probably this black mustang
this thing was so violently loud even from a distance the video doesn’t do it justice at all

yeeesh
Rip shitbox 2021-2023
He has an engine leak
Busted alternator
Am letting him go this week
Oil
who's leaf is that on BBS wheels?
His last breath was screaming valves at 4th gear
Actually that's a Passo Sette
Aahhh
oh wait am replying to a wrong message
I meant the Leaf
yea that was a Passo Sette
so did it seize?
Slowly
I literally saw the throttle gauge drop linearly from 4.5k to zero
It wasn't like a stall or anything
it's jus sudden loss of power
why I ask how is because it can sometimes still crank after the heat dissipates
Though, runs like shit
completely out of spec
Unless the timing belt was kek'd

In that case even pushing won't do shit
Belt on a 4 cyl 👎
unfortunate
It's carbureted too ye?
looks to be with that pan filter
I mean it was the very traditional 4G13
Yes carb
Right now talking to several buyers to take em as parts
I am confused slightly
hmm
timing
in a low compression engine
interference probably does the NA better. Then again I never looked too closely at the 4G
no real solid info on it being interference design. Just guesses. Not that it matters with a completely blasted bottom-end
Roadsters and Tourers are the same thing right except one has more hp?
Roadster is a car without a hardtop
A tourer can be a roadster, but that doesn't mean a roofless car can be a GT
A tourer is just a burly 2-door (or four) usually with vestigial rear seats, a mid-large displacement of 3.0 and above and more than 5 cyl. They are usually front-engined & RWD configuration.
Technically muscle sports cars are American takes on the gran tourer like Corvettes, Vipers, and Camaros
I guess it's harder if you're an American to understand tourers, they are a Euro-centric thing.
I love how I open this channel and the first thing that pops up is
Whaaaat the?!?!
very cool though. Never seen that happen before

Just like in Initial D! Alexi visits Gunsai Touge in Gunma Prefecture and goes for a ride in a replica of the Fujiwara Tofu AE86 Trueno on a touge-style course that looks and feels like real mountain drifting.

I can recognise the sectors used and the iconic downhill S sweep
this part exactly in a BM screenshot I saved not too long ago
he used to actually work for a car magazine back in Australia
nowadays he does YT/Twitch and commentary for drift events
ahh makes sense
I've seen plenty of his videos before
Just not clicked in my mind
he has a second channel as well
he puts some secondary stuff on it but has some nice content as well
well anyways can you guess what car this is? https://media0.webgarden.cz/images/media0:5108ff1e1667b.jpg/rabbit08.jpg
you might have seen it in Rihanna's MV
it is a legend in the tuning scene around here
it is called Rabbit or AK-47
it has been lowered, roof has been lowered, widened and slightly shortened in the back
engine is a 2.8l VR6 from VW Vento
custom made exhaust, KW suspension with Koni shock absorbers
front axle is a combination of VW Golf and Škoda Felicia the back is from VW Vento
dashboard is custom, seats are from Subaru Impreza and the wheels are 18 inches
this is what it looks like from the back
that is just proper out the 2000s
The hard machined alloy wheels too on the bottom pic
the rear reminds me of the Marcos Mini
the sloped rear with a kammback
holy shit
Funny you mention. I was just looking at a 2.8L VR6 swapped S chassis with a CD-009 6MT out of a Z33 Fairlady Z
strange. Very interesting though
The cool thing about S chassis is how large the transmission tunnel is from the engine bay. Accepts many swaps
so usually rotaries are known for having low torque
well except for a certain 4 rotor that thing is currently at 1289 nm
They make power because of their rpm band yes.
they are simply too low a displacement to make torque. Not enough volume to throw them around the block
Oooooo

Any photos or experiences in particular?
Ones that had you puzzled or fascinated
hmhmhmhm i do have photos of the buggy i think
but I'll have to open my phone, send it over to laptop, too much pain
i do remember the nut and bolt we used for the hood and side panels
we used a 6/7 spanner and an M6T?
ahh no 13 and 10mil? haha
I love that you can see the hood divert air and see the aero profile in the wake of all that smoke
SSS let’s gooo
Please please please
Do not mistaken super silhouette/Group 5 mimic racers for a bike cult.
"Shakotan" is slammed on small wheels. "kyusha" just means any old car
We know VIP is big body + chrome wheels
this is shakotan if an example is needed
It also classifies as kyusha, since it is a vintage car. Not "kuruma" which is generally a car
Haruguchi edit from "Driftmasters" segment in Drift Tengoku Vol.5
On the topic of japan car scene info sharing... I want to bring up 326power brand and it's founder, Mitsuru Haraguchi.
A lack of info in English from young JDM fans who don't do more than read first google result will say he's deceased for some reason. He's still alive.
my car is too old to have many 10mm besides a few brackets that held vac lines
however if I lose a 12mm socket...

The 911 Turbo is a cult supercar, having been in production for nearly fifty years. The air-cooled cars were a symbol of luxury and extravagance in their day, while today they are celebrated as an icon of the 911 genre.

I shall check later
I am fond of those models

white gts is so nice
From fiery flames to GTR glory. In-car lap at end of video.
With 950whp at 32 PSI from a Nissan RB28, the R32 Xtreme GTR was one of the stand out build/rebuilds of the 2018 World Time Attack Challenge. Tipping the scales at 1340kg wet, a lot of work has gone into making the chassis lighter with every panel being built with dry carbon by Topstag...
me thanking god every day that we have the jdm civic here
love the selection for the JDM trims in 6th gen Civics
wonderful
i kinda wanna get an fa5 and do an fd2 conversion on it lol
or just get a real fd2..
That's probably the move
EK best hatch though. EK6 and 9 are just very fun
FD2 are dope too. Might post some later
Alonso
Sheesh
I don’t know if the car is good this year but glad to see Alonso at this point
What streaming service y’all use to watch the races??
Go to a pub or event/sport lounge
Sorry mate. I don't do streaming services
It’s okay mate, ain’t going to hate you for it
unless
Saw a nice 1st gen NSX the other day
Silver
Oh yeah the car is good
I go to my sisters near me she has sky sports
Nice

While it's possible to replicate a Nissan Skyline GT-R by modifying your Skyline GTT, it will still NOT be a GT-R ....and that's not a bad thing.
Building a Skyline GT-R out of GTT donor car is an amazing accomplishment, but legally, it can never be a GT-R - the VIN never lies.

Moto gp is fun
saw that vid yesterday, pretty wild that it happens
Honestly, if I cant get a gtr, I would get the sedan one
I forgot the trim
But the 4 door would be a better option at the price point, cant take the lads with you
I dont mind no RWD, if I wanted a AWD sedan, I would go for a Evo,specifically EVO III if imported wise
Oh yes certainly
Evo's full-time 4WD and active yaw control is far cooler than the 4WD-only-when-losing-grip that the Nissan system is.
though... AYC was for the IV gen onward
Sexy
Look like subuwu bumper
How does one get an X90 series up so high?
they're known to be slammed on their nuts and bolts
some people are saying that he was hoping to turn it into a Skyline but it got stuck trying to get it into Sky
HA
This is the brutal Chevrolet Camaro 67´ owned and prepared by Mike DuSold of DuSold Designs, and while incredibly still road legal, here taken to a 1200+Hp Pikes Peak ready extreme!!
Powered by state-of-the-art LS7 engine unit in Turbocharged form and sporting a Rocket Anti-Lag system, it can produce up to almost 1500Hp but is here taken to a mo...
still road legal btw
Lmao

As nice as the r34 is,the Hakosuka is the real treasure for me
i like the 33 the most out of all of them but the hakosuka comes close
p0300 time to figure out why engine is misfiring :)
They all have sub 1100cc bike engines haha
The collegiate engineering programs can invest whatever they can but the consensus "meta" is almost always about low centre of gravity and power:weight ratio. It's also cost efficient.
are you allowed to slap a k-car engine on it
kei car engines? Surely. They are the right capacity
i'm gonna be completely honest i thought it was a lawn mower for a good two seconds
I can't even blame u
bike engines are popular in small cars in hillclimbing events
usually an engine from a strong sport bike like a Suzuki Hayabusa in a tiny car like Fiat 500 which underwent a massive weight reduction
Wild find while driving this afternoon
Rare one

I’m still lost about Proto cars for endurance race
lost in what way?
Between lmdh lmh and hypercar I don’t if lmp2 still exist in WEC
so from what I see lmdh and lmh are very similar except lmdh must be based on the lmp2 chassis and use the spec hybrid system and lmh can be built from scratch
and looks like lmp2 still exist but there probably will be fewer of them racing and there is a good chance that they will be cut off next year because of the hypercar popularity
interesting graph btw
Anti-lag systems help a turbocharger to continue producing boost when a driver is out of the throttle, but did you know that the Subaru rally team had one that could fully spool a turbo at idle? The Subaru Impreza WRX STi S11 and S12 WRC generations featured a unique system dubbed Rocket Anti-Lag. Using patented technology from Prodrive and simi...
Have you ever used a Electric Impact gun? @brave rampart
Yes
A certain brand you recommend?im thinking on investing in one
Bet
Milwaukee is great. Makita, Ingersoll Rand (if you have money) and Snap-On if you just want to pay a lot on something that DeWalt makes just as well. — In terms of impacts that is.
Went to go help put air in my sis’s tire and saw a young lad and his lady waiting and tried to offer help but the lug nuts were too tightened and wasn’t able to help, felt bad since I been in that same spot
Rigid is good too. As for batteries though you have to get a good 12-16v battery. Anything less will not give enough breakaway tq output to break something loose
Gotcha
Wait,so impact wrench or gun won’t make a difference right?
I was looking at the pins but just want to be sure if they were for the same purpose
They do the same job as a breaker bar essentially.
Ahh
it's easy, doesn't take up as much space as good bars are long, and can be used for anything in tighter to reach places
like under the wheel wells/arches
Also, some good cordless impact wrenches have speed settings. If it has an auto detect kind of setting? Leave it on there
or else you can strip shit and skip threads like no one's business. Lugs get hot as coals when tq is applied
Interesting
As for a specific model. Milwaukee makes the M12 Fuel subcompact cordless impact
pretty good price. Very mobile
if you have a spare 20 quid though, get the M18 in 3/8"
Yeah not going to trip out, if it happens, it happens
Just for the long run
A while back I was with my boy and his lady and he accidently hit a pot hole, it was raining heavily so it was out of his control, we pulled up to the gas station and I got out to help him remove the tire but his Honda didnt include the bar but luckily a tow truck pulled up and I asked if he could lend me a bar and he offered to replace the tire
My sister was telling me her 2020 Carolla already has 193,000 Km
Im like, holy shit, my 17 is barely going to hit the 233k km
she got it like that, I believe she's the 3rd owner, she got it from her Father in Law
Road trip car?
Probably, the interior was real nice, kinda jealous
Condition was perfect so probably was used as a road trip car or just long commuter
That engine is going to last as long as it isn't started and stopped a lot
600,000km easy
When i got my Honda fit, it was a 13 and got it with 60k km in mid 2019 but ended with almost 193k km by the end of 2021, I was the 3rd owner
fucking love that car, the cup holders were godsend
7 CUPHOLDERS
yeah they're great lol
the Honda mtech I talk to raves about how each model has an outstanding quality
the Fit/Jazz is the shift lever and the cupholders
2nd gen is special for me since it was my actual first car I bought
It's quite popular in amateur racing if you know
I read about it, theres a special class for it iirc
Some do a swap and the bodykits are nice
The 1.5L iVTEC is quite potent for the size
Makes as much as the iconic Toyota 4A 1.6 blue top
It was fun driving it, actually felt the difference when other people rode with me in the car
damn no way
I also discovered it had like a limit when I reached top speed of 193km
Felt that jerk when I hit that mark
I was like, oh
bet
The fuel shutoff can be electronically disabled if I recall
with a flasher tool or so
it can be disabled to go well over 7k and reach excess of 200 maybe into 220kmh
at that point it would probably shake itself apart though haha
FWD needs lots of toe-in or else the wheels bow out on high speed and hard braking
Damn
Aero, good tyres, alignment stabilisers, and some body stiffening and you have yourself a road legal racecar in some places
You ever worked on a Ferrari 348?
no, seen plenty about them and in them though
Spoon K20A Swapped Honda Fit/Jazz Ripping Touge/舌の上のカーバトル
348s are a nice middle child of the 8 cylinder 90s Ferrari lineup
what's to ask?
Seen some at a 60k price range, wanted to know if it was decent Ferrari for the buck or just cheap Ferrari
And maintenance wise
it's a cheap one
The “poor man’s Ferrari”
the parts weren't all of the ones in the much better 355. It was a new model for the time
it was just to fund the F1 division
every Ferrari is for that purpose actually
but their flagships are genuinely pretty good at times
Yeah,I remember seeing a vid on that
and the F355 that succeeded it was a flagship after the F50 was done orders
Jeremy Clarkson's trio of "greatest [blank] car in the world" was given to the F355, the R34 GT-R, and the LFA.
Handling, tuning, and sounding.
Damn,no 93 Camry? Blasphemy
hahaha
I’m surprised he didn’t say F40 instead of the F355
The F40 was quite loose at times from what a lot of race drivers note
it's solid because the aerodynamics, weight, tyre width and such
Honestly don’t know much about Ferraris model so I’m just going based off popularity
Oh I c,so it had it faults
though the actual suspension is not very refined. All 80s machines were like that until the Porsche 959
soft spring rates I mean
Yeah but honestly,if I had a shitload of cash,I too would get a F40
Especially winning the lottery
Definite cop
Same with a Aston Martin, only models I would get are the ones featured in the films
Vantages
And the Sl300 I believe from Benz because butterfly wings
I think it’s just some cars one has to cop when they win a ton of cash
Beautiful machine
I’m still waiting for kit cars for it 😪
There’s a company in the UK that makes replicas of the 2000gt
“Whose gonna know?” Just don’t show up to the cars and coffee
I've seen that the UK has a niche outlaw building crowd
for the S30 Zs and the 2000GT
Oh really
Yes, very interesting stuff
in contrast to the states
the states loved the Datsuns
Yeah,they’re sexy
The Datsun popularity was why Bob Sharp was a part of the Nissan promotions for a while
He's why Nissan said "now's a good time to do the GT-R"
the UK didn't have that with Nissan
Really? Because of the market?
they just saw a Japanese copy of the Jaguar XK-E (E-Type) essentially.
The market was not fond because no good sales. No race promotion. Nothing
high displacement L6, hatch rear, amazing handling with a 5 speed, slap on some weber carbs, and they sound nearly the same
Want your Z to look and sound like this! Here you go.
https://www.californiadatsun.com/carburetor-parts/weber-dcoe-40-triple-carburetors.html?highlight=WyJ0cmlwbGUiXQ==
holy shit. Sounds even better
like a Ferrari Colombo V12
Sexy
that's just a single cam L24 inline
The S20 of the 2000 GT-Rs and Fairlady 432 sounds even better
Not my video, just a re-upload
Sexy sound
Aww, thank you. I hope it helps
nooo thank you hahaha
I like atmospheric pressure just fine on sub 250kW
ITBs on plenum or open stacks are just an amazing throat-y, guttural sound that makes most low displacement engines more fun
1:1 throttle input. No deadness, latency
actually I might swap my mini for an nd or nc mx5
the best thing to compete with my dad caterham

you have an NB?
nope even an nb would be cool
I have a 2017 3 door cooper
3cyl 1.5 turbo engine

ahhh
NB is the best base in my opinion
NA but better mechanically. Solved every issue the NA had in the 1.6 and 1.8s
It's the only downside haha
they're all tiny
also has a little extra comfort and boot space
ye but if I can fit in a Caterham I can fit in a MX5
You can fit in any roadster as long as your knees don't stop your knuckles at full steering lock

also Rob Dahm made a few more videos
putting the 4 rotor on hub dyno, doing some lap times for the upcoming show that is gonna be on amazon and buying an open wheel rotary car to practice before he moves on the indy car
that amazon show seems to be interesting though it's gonna be supercars vs jdms
and he is representing the highest power class as a jdm with his 4 rotor against mclaren senna
even though this is a photoshop. It looks like a nice concept

kit

is there to work with?
