Guys about AI, im not too knowledgeable but are there models that arent like LLMs? Like a lot more advanced and reliable? My experience with AI, is they are good for routine stuff and drawing info but kinda suck for more complicated tasks. So like how exactly are people getting AI to replace like work that require a degree or other certifications? Is it just that they hire less people cause AI makes it more efficient or like is there more automated work as well?

I think the leftist framing is because when it comes to providing value for citizens, China is ahead of the curve compared to the US. Its also the only rival to the US so they kinda idealise it despite the human rights issues and even government corruption. I guess you can rationalise it by the fact that there isn't really any state thats not corrupt or has issues with human rights. I think in particular how much they invest in infrastructure is appealing but personally I feel like there are a lot of cons they ignore.
I do think its impressive how much they raised Chinas economy but there's a lot of costs that are ignored. I'll be a little careful with China because im not super knowledgeable and I do think a lot of the influencer based propaganda is state sponsored.
Also when it comes to propaganda I dont really feel like they're doing anything different compared to a lot of other countries.

The current Dalai Lama left when he was a teen, so this guy isn’t exactly the big evil that China likes to claim. Even then, he wants his country’s freedom. For that to happen violence would likely happen, but the fact he hasn’t when he has the influence to do so does say something imo.

IF you can afford it, the quality of healthcare in the US likely surpasses that of Canada's, and again if you already have a very good insurance or are decently wealthy, there are very short waitlists to get your health checked and taken care of.

thats fair but I dont think there is a way to privatise without really hurting public health care. As much as id love faster wait times, I would assume a lot of health care professionals will flock to private clinics cause compensation could be higher. And in the long term, the private clinics will operate like businesses and cuts costs and hurt quality.

This is true, I’m fortunate to live in Vancouver but other parts of Canada don’t have the same privileges as this city. Which is why some provinces believe that free healthcare is a waste of their tax money because they don’t see the immediate benefit of the system
