I wonder how effective ads about the fake electors plot would be
Yeah media was really focused on that and after the debate idt there was anything they could've done to get rid of that image that isn't just replacing him with a different person
On the one hand its an actual insurrection attempt, on the other hand it might be way too complicated for the average voter to understand the gravity of
The riots at and in the capitol kind of overshadowed the stuff going on behind the scenes
a lot of Kamala's appearances have been focused on Abortion Rights, so I think she really needs to hammer that down of waht the GOP wants to do
INTERVIEW: Brian interviews Vice President Kamala Harris about Trump’s conviction, Senate Republicans blocking a vote to guarantee access to contraception, and her reaction to Byron Donalds yearning for the Jim Crow era.

at least when it comes down to who is the lesser evil the answers pretty clear in kamala
while for biden his image was mostly of him being an old fool
sure, maybe, but Biden also had a 50+ years long political career, people knew what he stood for and what kinds of people he would surround himself with
I wouldn't even call Kamala an evil unless you wanna do the whole "Every politician is evil" thing
You had "The lesser of two evils" vs. Hillary, using it here is just imappropriate
I dont think that's the case
true, im just being cynical here cuz shes very polarizing
and her speeches, whoever writes them for her, they're not very smart
that's crazy
she about to get upgraded
The kamala hq twitter account is actually so good lol
Just clips and clips of trump saying the most insane shit
I suppose the orange man bad argument and kamala being the anti-trump will get them quite far
so they're doubling down on it
Aint no way lmao
"bing bing ding ding ding"
orange man bff with epstein should be enough to make people not vote on him
but that ain't the case
I think Hilary and Biden lacked in several areas that Kamala would probably fair better in
do you mean the party of "protect the children" doesnt really want to?
his voters probably wouldn't care but hey i think reminding people of that is good
can't let em forget it
definitely a big thing for moderates
people just forget about it
Do you guys think that a lot of the current third party voters will swing their votes to Democrat?
when they definitely shouldn't
Or would that depend on Harris?
I think 3rd party are pretty set in their ways
unless they were voting just cause Joe was old
now they should vote dem cuz trumps old
90% of Stein voters are probably single issue voters over gaza, some weird far left niche issue or generally just insane
Nah bro, they want to lower the age of consent to protect the kids. Is no one thinking of the kids but them??
Who even is the libertarian party guy this time?
Are they against driving licenses again?
The Libertarians still don't make sense to me
I believe it is Chase Oliver
Their whole thing is that they shouldn't be a thing
they dont want any licenses or regulations of any kinds
What's the current % of voters estimated to be third party? Do they matter in the long run for the 2% difference that there was between Biden/Kamala and Trump?
What ticket is the "I definitely wouldn't eat a human, I swear" Kennedy running on again
Also this is just extremely funny https://x.com/BusinessInsider/status/1815262821032112505
Donald Trump donated to Kamala Harris' campaigns twice while he was a private citizen, records show https://t.co/BxZ96WBFdI
Very very small, maybe 2-3% and I would guess most of those are in the deep Red or deep blue states instead of the swing states
But with the way the electoral college works, very small vote counts can make a big difference
Wasnt he running as a democrat?
Nah
he's running as an Independent IIRC
what did magic do to you?
the latest I saw on him was that he had like 10% of the votes, but I just cant believe that
nugu
he takes more away from trump than the dem nominee
marjorie taylor greene
Ah
Probably what the worm told him
her seat will be tough to take from her cause she's in a red district in red georgia
Like, the woman is actually a relevant spokesperson in the GOP at this point somehow, that tells you all you need to know about that party
mf is about to do our version of Dune
The gop without trump is gonna be turbo fucked
the spice must flow
real
it definitely feels like trump supporters like trump more than the gop
Yeah, because rn they're just a Trump cult
I dont believe that any replacement is gonna capture people the same way
arent his potential replacements even more extreme than himself
I mean they were trying to distance themselves from Trump and prop up Desantis
Clearly didn't work
Yea cause the base is all in on trump
The funniest thing is Republicans who have... a history with Trump joining his side, smiling
Dude's the least charismatic most unlikeable person in existence too
Zero principles be like
have they tried to pick someone who is not partly lizard?
man why did that home alone guy have to go off the deep end
Principles are overrated
Desantis is about as likeable as black mold
desantis looks like he eats black mold
Hell, mold is probably more intelligent, too
But I actually think the shooting and the reactions to it showed a lot of people how lopsided the expectations are for republicans now
if i grab a rock on the road in front of my house that rock is likely more charismatic than him
8 years of violent rhetoric from them but suddenly the dems are too violent
The most heineous thing is them going "They™️ did this.." with a knowing smile
It's not like the shooter was one of them or anything
It was them
the shooter was a republican as well lmfao
Yep
Tbf I domt think its quite clear yet what his motivations were
yeah the sudden switch is crazy
and funny
Motivations no, background yes
Literally registered Republican
But people like piers morgan chastising biden for his bullseye comment while never acknowledging any of trumps comments is just so blatantly obviously partisan
dont know about the last part of this, but this is a pretty good sign for Kamala https://x.com/TristanSnell/status/1815246616850264540
Something mainstream media won’t report:
There was a Zoom tonight for Black women organizing for Kamala Harris.
The call had a max of 1000 people. They hit it immediately, and got a hold of the Zoom CEO to help.
40,000 people joined. For over 4 hours.
Trump is soooo screwed.
Honestly, if Kamala can secure the black/woman votes she should be actually fine
definitely got the representation covered
Seems like piers morgan alright
i cant imagine her fumbling in that area
lol
Piers Morgan is... definitely a person
thanks UK
You should be thankful they put Nigel on their parliament for now
At least he can't take any jobs in the US for now
farage immediately fucking off to america to support trump in these trying times but never even meeting him is peak
Lauren Boebert has a chance to lose her seat this year so that's a plus
How are early chance projections for the senate/house looking for that matter
Kamala getting elected wouldn't exactly matter much with a red supermajority
25 seats are up for the house
that could go either way
senate could basically be tied again
Wait I just realized
Biden is now criminally immune and doesnt have to worry about reelection
Hes untouchable
I think he's going quietly into the night
also yeah she's basically the nominee https://x.com/spectatorindex/status/1815209198747324569
BREAKING: Over 245 Democratic delegates already have endorsed Kamala Harris
Good
I assume some republican group will try and challenge this in court but afaik theres really nothing to stand on
not much
yea
dang looks like she got $70 Million in 1 day https://x.com/Idejder/status/1815252619062812967
I think that is the best in US History?
i cant even tell if thats satirical or not
I just kno republicans really wanted joe to stay in and they are panicking that kamala is in
Yeah
Apparently they thought they could afford to pick vance to boost their base cause they thought biden was so weak
Now he seems like a terrible pick
Well, even more than before
they literally got the dude from ohio to be announced as VP in Michigan lol
cant make it up
they're still going to try state by state for ballot access
especially since a lot of those laws are old and pretty inflexible for such a situation like this
Phineas & Ferb theme song but it goes THERE'S A 104 DAYS TILL US ELECTIONSSS
Idk I think there's not a lot of time to campaign but if Harris pulls it off that's gonna be crazy
The dnc hasnt happened yet, how is this about state ballots?
while it has a very low chance of success, state ballot issues especially those with certain deadlines, could have the laws and regulations being changed regardless of DNC. generally though state laws don't care how parties choose their nominees for president, so it won't be an issue in most cases. but I still expect a lot state and federal lawsuits after a sudden upheaval like this, especially with how hyperpartisan everything has become.
my own state's governor specifically worked this year to prevent any funny business with regards to ballot access to make sure nobody can deny the DNC's routines.
Same for alabama's governor, so yeah it won't be an issue but GOP has money to spare so they'll try for the theatrics.
Yeah even before Biden dropping the Heritage Foundation was planning on suing to keep Biden on the ballot on certain states if this happened
hyper partisan hmm.
Also shows how afraid they were of going against anyone but Biden on this cycle lol
Even before he dropped
If the election were rigged, or even could be rigged, there would be no reason for Biden to drop out, right?
folding the hand
sorry
I do wonder if Harris will actually try and bring the political elements back to politics. Or is that ironically a bad idea for her with the state of things currently
Her biggest free policy win is abortion, its toxic for republicans for swing voters who decide the elections, for rights women have had for decades to suddenly have disappeared, following the new supreme court ruling from a conservative court.
Many republicans aren't helping their party win either by making statements supporting the decision.
it's why you see them try to distance away from Project 2025 so hard because it's so unpopular. Even though it's virtually impossible for them to now anyways.
yeah trump denying he knew what it was didn't work too well
the announcement of Biden stepping aside has basically killed any post-RNC excitement from Republicans. They based the whole thing around Joe, Trump is now refusing to debate Kamala and they cant use the same talking points towards her.
it also has re-energized Democratic support
you guys got this
it's gonna be close
i assume it won't be as much of a landslide as our victory, but I still think Trump has done enough shit to lose enough support
the cult is loud but as long as people turn up to vote i think Dems will win
there's still the final boss to contend with: media propping trump up because it helps ratings
my friend that studies elections swears to me he thought it would be 270-268 so Idk what will change now with the new presumed nominee
hoping Harris/Dems can rally enough of people "i'm not too bothered so I won't vote" people
well you have those and the "they dont align 100% with me, so I wont vote"
true
even though they arent thinking of the bigger picture, which they should
yeah it's a shame
single issue voters always get me, because there's just so much that rides on the outcomes of elections
both foreign and domestic
the mediaplay going to be impactful
yeah voting can't be so granular
true, i feel it has much less weight on the younger gens but idk the exact age demographic in US
IIRC the younger demographic has broken records in consecutive elections for tunrout
I would be worried about the single issue voters with the zoomers
Hopefully that's just the twitter bubble
you gotta think how many of those can actually vote
either not 18 yet or not US citizens
yeah, also when it comes to young people voting, i feel like thats actually more like 21-25 than 18-21
not to say no one between 18 and 21 votes, but people seem to care less when theyre still younger
saw a guy I know who is Canadian saying they wont vote for Biden, like dude come on lol
this was back in april
here's the full poll from Harvard if you want to read https://iop.harvard.edu/youth-poll/47th-edition-spring-2024
A national poll released today by the Institute of Politics (IOP) at Harvard Kennedy School indicates that among 18-to-29-year-olds nationwide, mor
Fucking boomers, man
your age demo
says the dog from the fifties
Excuse you, I'm a proud millenial
You weren't the best of pilots tbh
I survived so technically I was one of the best
yeahhhh, more than 50% on the tories and the super tories
pains me a lot that farage has a seat in parliament
my parents weren't going to vote, until I was like, but its free and we can get rid of the tories
I firmly believe voting should be mandatory
I'd agree
no please, i would vote without any knowledge and so would tons of others that have absolutely no interest in politics
Parties always put out a booklet of their main points and things they want to do, that's all you'd need to read for the people running in your area to be informed
^ (in UK and im assuming europe anyway)
never seen one here come through the mailbox
we don't read anytihng that comes anyways. my dad uses the newspaper to fold his cigs without dirtying the table
Non voters are the main reason for populists getting into power, so... you know. Don't complain later.
can imagine non voters made to vote will just vote whoever is the loudest
or already has the most at that point
there are always tools that let you input your opinions and tell you what parties have those in their platform
But that would take 5 precious minutes
they dont use them now, why use them when made to vote. most still will not be botherd and just want it out of the way.
I feel like classes related to politics would be really useful in schools
I definitely got more invested when I became more of an independent adult
but it's so important to everyones daily lives even if you don't think it is
there needs to be an uk version of schoolhouse rock
I'd argue that if people had to go vote (and by extension would get time off work to go do that) theyd be more inclined to do the bare minimum of something like those "who do I align with" things
yes we have this in Finland
nonvoters voting for the party that has "people shouldn't be required to vote" in their manifesto, to win the nonvoter vote
maybe schools having a once a year teacher about politics coming to just tell them something about it for 90 mins would make a big difference.
had a police officer come once and tell their story once. so maybe short, but strong would work
There's... issues with that
That's a very different thing from an actual teacher teaching a politics class (which is a thing in Germany as well btw)
they have people come into campuses pretty prevalently lol
and it's pretty divisive when it's political, their antics I mean
people mad here that they dont teach stuff like "doing taxes" but I had that class and everyone hated it or said it was a waste of time. Gotta learn whether you like it or not.
technically it was Nixon
tbf, idk how those are, but most things learned at school never came back outside of it
alot of material is also quite dated
unfortunately that's how all of general education is
still gotta offer the class so it can be said that the information was there. If you are an adult you gotta be an active participant in the world. If you dont you really dont have any room to complain.
Is this not what civics classes are
it is yes
but the talk of [that topic] not existing in education makes me question if it's that universal in the first place
never heard of it
what if all the knowledges we have internationally that sourced from americans weren't true at all
[x-files theme play]
the mistake was investing that much faith in the world superpower
I know Biden pulling out of the US presidential race is big news but I can’t stop thinking about how an asparagus fortune teller prediction on Jeremy Vine could be right.

so the republicans campaign was basically fuck biden what are they gonna do now?
lose hopefully
Lots of coping and seething so far
Personal favorite is "the republican party should be compensated for wasting money to campaign against biden"
the funniest part of that post is the "Just askin'?" at the end, he's so butthurt
yeah it was the biggest day, before that was 2020
Just askin?
if your entire campaign is just fighting the other candidate then you didnt have much of a campaign in the first place
You mean they're not running on policy?
in similar words he took a look at the Project 2025 pamphlet and said "damn, these people are hardcore" while having zero input
policy? Not a single thought
LOL
okay to be fair that's both sides in this.
Well one of those candidates is still "in the fight" so
he absolutely did not write that btw
many such cases
he did though
So, we are forced to spend time and money on fighting Crooked Joe Biden, he polls badly after having a terrible debate, and quits the race. Now we have to start all over again. Shouldn’t the Republican Party be reimbursed for fraud in that everybody around Joe, including his doctors and the Fake News Media, knew he was not capable of running for...
i mean more someone in his team wrote it for him
I don't know, he has a very long history of doing his own tweets long before he was even a republican
he can't write in full sentences
fair lol
Sometimes his tweet do feel like someone writing like they're mimicking the way he speaks

On Wednesday, some of the people who posted about the gift card said that when they went to redeem the offer, they got an error message saying the voucher had been canceled. When TechCrunch checked the voucher, the Uber Eats page provided an error message that said the gift card “has been canceled by the issuing party and is no longer valid.”
Classy
Didn't really pay attention to Vance that much before, but I guess I didn't miss too much
holding my diet mtn dew rn shaking….
lmao
they're also already freaking out and asking their representatives to PLEASE not be racist against kamala
they can't contain themselves
things looking kinda hopeful ngl
drinking my diet mtn dew #cancelme
this is mildly amusing
I really miss when politics used to be boring... can't even remember when that was
Apparently she's polling pretty well, too (not that polling means too much, but you know)
It also revitalized the voter base when it comes to donations apparently, her campaign got like 100 milion USD in one day in grassroot funding (?)
I don't remember the figure exactly but it was about 80-100$ mil in small donations in a day
this is the first time i saw this warning
"Stay tuned"
"This is a manipulated media"
i would say they should just fully integrate threads into ig but threads is also kinda ass in its own way
Instagram is already bloated as hell
i think instagram is just an unfunny space tbh
bring all the funny tweeters to threads
kamala chat lmao
the big thing is some of the more recent ones have been showing trump losing more ground. I would be cautious looking at some polls because they are funded by conservative think tanks. The biggest thing going for Kamala right now is that there is a lot of energy and enthusiasm for her. It has unified and mobilized large swathes of Democrats.
when you are being compared to these two and are worse....... https://vxtwitter.com/SimonWDC/status/1815941557478134209
Yes, we have data now. Vance is worse than Quayle and Palin.

I saw her speech earlier and yeah the difference in energy is crazy
things do seem to be looking up for her overall
There's been thousands of new young people registering to vote specifically for her so some good news.
I do like she specifically called out Trump's crimes and the Project 2025 stuff on it
she's definitely going to be using her prosecutor background to go after him. She's had a plan to debate him since 2020 so if they do it will be interesting.
Doubt Trump would accept that as they seem to have literally no talking points against her
Aside from being racist and misogynistic
Or just saying shes quirky and her laugh is weird
well I'm sure he does have names, but they are probably racist and sexist
Some republican talking head is just gonna call her a slur on live TV between now and the election
They're expecting it
they sure have gotten close on Fox News!
there have been some slips that were caught
When they need to ask for their representatives to PLEASE not be racist you know what's up
just loving them all freaking out right now and the tides turning on the age debate.
Also trump saying "we're not gonna have a socialist president, especially a female" was wild
Vance going after people without children gotta be a top 10 dumbest campaign moves
Literally the only thing they're able to do is be either racist, misogynistic or both
she really needs to hit on her VP pick and have them go on the offensive.
Gonna be Kelly or shapiro right?
most likely choices
He's gonna call her DEImala or something
idk if they want to take Beshear from KY just yet
I've heard that dems want Beshear to run for senator there eventually
The first dei hire white male, theyre gonna be unstoppable
all he's got so far is Lyin' Kamala he's lost his touch
Isnt it laughing kamala
they've tried that and the even shorter lived Cackling Kamala
I think he's stuck with him because the RNC cemented the ticket
allegedly it was a Thiel and Musk pick and he took him to get the funding from both of them
Think if kamala does win hes gonna be remembered very fondly
yeah, I think if she wins he will be looked at more favorably down the line
Definitely was the move to wait with the dropout til after the RNC by Biden. Actually good policial maneuvering
Its getting closer https://fxtwitter.com/harrisonjaime/status/1816120550856462373
Yup… I guess this Trumpster was also saying “college”
i can't wait to see how will they try to go at Mark Kelly if he's the pick
Bald jokes are still socially acceptable so maybe thats their out
"You guys see this Kelly guy they got for VP? Man is he bald, he supposedly was an astronaut but couldn't even make it to the moon!"
"WHat a loser, if they had sent me I would have made it there"" - Trump, probably
The moon isnt even real
I kinda want somebody to ask JD vance which of the parents should get the additional votes per child, the father or the mother. I can guess the answer but it would make for a good sound bite
someone needs to bring up the couch to him in a debate
VP debate on couches instead of podiums
on the topic of politics but the UK side, its so refreshing to have people actually working to improve the country again
also fuck the tories for hiding a prison crisis and calling an election so they didnt have to deal with it
(On Threads)
Parenting is so easily done wrong.
The man clearly doesn't care about parenting, he's just pro-procreation and has fathered 12 children and lets his money raise them. First one goes against him and what he desired his children to be like, he goes on to create like 6 more spares.
I'm voting for Kamala to save democracy 💪 (so what if she didn't get any votes) (also the prison labor thing)
vote for brainworm man, brainworms for everyone
what about Jill stein shes been trying for long enough maybe she deserves it as a treat
I'd unironically vote for either before Harris
you are stupid and a moron
Peas in a pod reunited again
We just gave to hope people find Harris more unappealing the more she campaigns. Much like the 2020 primaries.

Opps
We'll have to settle for less annoying
And still evil
Though her criminal prosecution background is up there on the list of evil things
didn't know people actually liked Kennedy
probably more to do with people disconnected from politics just hearing the name
rather than actually liking him
Very likely. Could be people just picking someone that's not one of the 2 party candidates
i don't mind kamala she can crack an egg one handed
People on those egg cooker infomercials don't even need one hand
Truly the best candidate

There's a microwave thing I remember seeing on TV idk

Why dont american third parties only ever show up for the presidential races? Dont think ive heard of a green or libertarian congress member, maybe start there?
Well, there's independents
Yes?
Im saying third parties gotta start governing or representint locally just like small parties do in every other country
Yeah you gotta build up
But instead every 4 years they nominate some niche candidate with niche political stances to siphon some 1-3% of votes away and so people can complain about the 2 party system again
libertarians are very serious
jesus
because money
american election cycles are just a transfer of wealth process from donors to party people and their associates and contractors and such here
that's why the numbers are so mindbogglingly insane
right now, one of the main factors the candidate has to be Kamala Harris is because that's the only one of two people as nominees who can use the $320M or so in warchest they have for that campaign.
Whether she wins or not is almost irrelevant to the DNC in the grand scheme of things, they're just going through the motions to make sure that 320 million doesn't go to waste and goes from the donors to their people.
Trump and his transformation of the GOP is kind of an anomaly as far as the last many decades of American politics and the two party system have operated, otherwise both parties more or less ran the system the same way, with some differing economic or social policies but nothing transformative, and ran their election cycles and campaigns as a way of moving donor money to party people.
In more amusing news
poor couch
I almost read that as coach and I thought it may turn out even more amusing lol
At least no minors were involved like that one guy....
Yeah, I'd rather have them bang couches
Though why you would put that in your memoirs....
Also, why tf does a 39yr old mostly irrelevant politician have memoirs already in the first place
Politicians are egomaniacs. That’s why
Small town mayors probably adding their memoirs to amazon publishing lmao
men are lucky, they can totally change to a different person with beards
vance looks like somebody who would have been rejected a lot in high school or college without that beard
then again maybe not, his marine corps years were fine https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2d/J.D._Vance_-_U.S._Marine_Corps_Portrait.png
nah he looks fine
his background is very typical lower class ohioan, kind of feel bad
Ohio is a meme but everyone i've met from there has been super nice
ohio itself is hell, the people are very nice usually
okay so it looks like his law prof during his first year convinced him to write that memoir because of a relatively rough childhood and upbringing
quite well educated too
if he wasn't tied to trump, people wouldn't look at him so mockingly

like this is the kind of person the demcorats really should have had on their ticket
lower class upbringing with very relatable story and experience, marine corps combat veteran with several medals, went to college on gi bill, bachelors in philosophy and polisci, yale law degree, seemingly happily married, visible minority wife with two mixed children
he just happens to be trump's VP pick, so he's poisoned now
He also, you know, spouts some of the worst political policy nonsense
his memoir was even adopted into a film lol
bring back tim kaine so people remember he exists
no I get that, he's a complete rookie politically
Last thing Democrats need is more "Democrats" only in name of ticket
he only entered politics in 2021
so much education for none of that to manifest on the stuff he says
and got into senate starting in 2023...
crazy
so he's just green af when it comes to politics
and probably basically only says what he's fed by the trump campaign people now
and some of his past stuff is pure GOP fed stuff
Much like all the politicians and their thinktanks
They have Kelly for impressive bullet points
precisely, rarely do you get some kind of unfiltered stream of consciousness like we've been able to get from Trump and early on from Biden lol
"I believe [whatever will get votes in swing states]"
- Candidate of current year
indeed
and almost none of them follow through with any of their promises
if democrats followed up after getting power with even a tenth of what they often promise, demcrat controlled american cities would have been heaven
republicans are full of shit to start with so I don't expect much from them anyway lol
Primaries are so comical for that reason

Ultra rich candidate from the coasts pretending to care about Iowa
Unfortunately the president is not a king and needs the legislative to do their job
Biden cant do much when trump calls on republicans to block the bipartisan border bill
there have been a number of ~2 year periods in the past 2-3 decades when democrats or republicans had supermajority of the house, senate, and the white house
and yet the infighting continued and nothing really got done
in either side's favor
for better or worse
The Democrat super wasn't one in reality because 2 senators were effectively Republicans
There's no real denying that both parties will just serve the interests of capital
Dems used their super majority for "healthcare" i'm exempt from
fair on the biden front, but obama had one too and all he did was pass a hobbled, messy, private insurance companies' pleasing health care act
despite all the promises to do a proper universal healthcare
neither could even pass a gun control act
they had TWO years of complete control each
The only recent supermajority I remember was Obama early on (which also wasnt one due to timeline reasons) and that was only the senate
No point in that with the current Supreme Court
also fair
though supreme court really is only interpreting the constitution, not really making contradictory rulings.
if there's consensus to stop that, they have to change the constitution
but it's not gonna happen, not in this political climate
Except they're flagrantly not any more but just making policy instead
Obamacare is just "buy health care of pay a little money not to" lol
Completely unbiased of course
to be fair, they are dismantling precedent rather than defining new policy, they are specifically trying to move power back to congress from the presidential administration and the regulatory bodies
but they are doing that fully aware that congress is dysfunctional
so we end up in this state of things
That’s on congress and the people that elect them
The ol' everyone hates congress but loves their congressman
Hahahahahahahhhhahahagag
The supreme court just made up a criminal immunity for the president out of thin air
Very creative interpretation of the constitution
Congress job yet again
If Democrats win again and somehow have majority in the chambers theyy just need to stop being chicken shits and expand that court + add term limits
Also love one of the concurrences off hand mentioning the special counsel possibly being unconstitutional, which has nothing to do with the case at hand, which judge cannon then cites to throw out the documents case
Very cool
Next thing you say is this seems sorta biased and corrupt
Nah both sides bad
Expanding the court will def not be abused
Expanding the court has happened multiple times in the past, it's perfectly normal.
We'll all be on the court like everyone was in Wu Tang
But honestly more important than expanding is term limits
I played most Ace Attorney games i can probably do a decent job there
I can totally agree on that
But do you have a helpful ghost to guide you through your cross examination
Unfortunately no convenient plot ghost to me
Or any spirit mediums
Maybe i should hit up that min heejin shaman

Yeah, was about to say, spirit mediums are definitely accessible
But they need to be from a remote mountain village where only spirit mediums live
Gotta remind myself to play Great Ace Attorney eventually
we could really use that across the board in the US
I just can't see them being able to expand the court, but both age limits and term limits for supreme court judges, for district court judges, appeals court judges, for congressmen and senators, etc. would be real damn nice
all elected and appointed positions
I wasn't really referring to that ruling, and media interpretations of it doesn't really paint a good picture, but the ruling is really just vague and leaves it up to the lower courts to do something with it to send it back up again to keep the supreme court busy and relevant
more so their other rulings since 2020 has been leaning towards dismantling existing precedents where it is ambiguous and instead trying to force congress to come up with very specific laws instead in a timely and up to date manner.
Do you really think the supreme court of the united states has to keep things unexplained to keep itself relevant?
when they add term limits and by chance, all the democrat judges terms expire when the republicans are in power resulting in the 9 republican judge supreme court
Wouldn't make much of a difference compared to now
not like manchin or sinema would vote to pack the court anyways
I guess the DNC is playing 4d chess this time. Trump saying he wont debate kamala cause not even obama has endorsed her, kamalas campaign less than a day later https://fxtwitter.com/BarackObama/status/1816760809193677069
Earlier this week, Michelle and I called our friend @KamalaHarris. We told her we think she’ll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has our full support. At this critical moment for our country, we’re going to do everything we can to make sure she wins in November. We hope you’ll join us.
Chicken wings advertised as 'boneless' can have bones, Ohio Supreme Court decides https://apnews.com/article/boneless-chicken-wings-lawsuit-ohio-supreme-court-231002ea50d8157aeadf093223d539f8?utm_campaign=TrueAnthem&utm_medium=AP&utm_source=Twitter
peak america
They somehow managed to outdo the immunity decision
of course it's ohio
Ohio be ohio-ing
Brilliant, now they can sell boneless wings and "Boneless wings, but actually"
In germany we call that "wings nach boneless art"
In a 4-3 ruling, the Supreme Court said Thursday that “boneless wings” refers to a cooking style, and that Berkheimer should’ve been on guard against bones since it’s common knowledge that chickens have bones.
“A diner reading ‘boneless wings’ on a menu would no more believe that the restaurant was warranting the absence of bones in the items than believe that the items were made from chicken wings, just as a person eating ‘chicken fingers’ would know that he had not been served fingers,” Justice Joseph T. Deters wrote for the majority.
brain hurts reading that
Well yeah, but the whole point of buying boneless wings is to not have bones
okay whoever suggested that they should put bones in boneless shall warrant a boney nightmare
you don't have to tell me
Otherwise you'd buy regular wings
let me buy some bone-in wings but remove the bones pls
Just buy tenders instead, problem solved
no
“The question must be asked: Does anyone really believe that the parents in this country who feed their young children boneless wings or chicken tenders or chicken nuggets or chicken fingers expect bones to be in the chicken? Of course they don’t,” Justice Michael P. Donnelly wrote in dissent. “When they read the word ‘boneless,’ they think that it means ‘without bones,’ as do all sensible people.”
only in ohio buying boneless chicken is the same thing as buying regular chicken
...cmon donelly
Can't wait for this to go to the actual supreme court
And right wingers going "Only woke libtards expect no bones in their wings, real Americans know better"
Donnelly with the mistake of thinking that other people on supreme court would be sensible
Kamala Harris shares first ad for her Presidential campaign, featuring Beyoncé’s ‘Freedom.’
#girlboss
And unlike Trump with... well, any of the songs he uses besides Kid Rock & Smashmouth she actually got the ok from queen B
Banger ad tbh
She hit all the important beats in it
as a connoisseur of wings I will not be ordering any while in Ohio if I ever have the misfortune of entering that state
inb4 rib-less steak
That only makes sense with very specific kinds of steak
that ruling is not as disappointing as machine-sorted "boneless meat" already is lol
especially being that in order for it to actually be better -- you'd have to take it up with corporations and food industry as it already sits.
This is a conservative (inaction) compromise and also slightly displeasing to see there will be no innovation.

France olympics opening ceremony had moments that had me wondering if it was taken from hunger games panem/capital city cuts or actually Paris.
Damn forgot the Olympics were even happening
Intel moment
There's surprisingly little "hype" for the olympics among my social circles, it's odd. Maybe because everybody cut cable tv or something lol
or we're all too busy trying to make ends meet.
as someone who works specifically with supply chain security and PKI/certificats... I can't believe what I'm reading
these companies are doing everything so wrong
something something complex systems something something competence crisis
it's actually pretty sad to read about these things on a recurring basis and possibly at an increasing frequency
it is sad, because I'm sure there are competent security experts around
probably more to do with management or budget
Trump: You have to get out and vote. You won’t have to do it anymore. Four years, it will be fixed, it will be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore.. In four years, you won’t have to vote again.
Subtle
Ah yes the most democratic country "fixing" voting
he's said this before, I guess it got media attention this time
Yeah the media coverage has been pretty good for Kamala overall from what I've seen? Not only for her but also how Trump and his campaign are getting more pushback overall, Vance having negative approval on their own base
Vance is a disaster for approval ratings it seems
The media
watch them spin this as he was meaning he doesnt care what happens in the next election since he wont be able to run again due to term limits, assuming he wins this one
Their big plan is to lose heavily so they can say it's clearly even more rigged so they can storm the capital again

If Trump loses again it'd be rather stupid to not have the national guard there from the start this time, preventing just that
Yeah they'd 100% preemptively put tons of security there lol
it's the most forgiving framing, that or a "you won't have a country anymore" angle. even if he's 100% distancing himself from project 2025 and respects the term limit, his own campaign manifesto Agenda 47 makes it clear he wants to replace federal employees with MAGA people and overhaul the district courts/doj/fbi and you see where that leads.
lmao
AT least our German commentators got it right, lol
I mean, if you had read the article and not just the headline you'd know
imagine if they got the actual signage wrong
For your convenience
Sorry next time I will learned to reading
In Tokyo they had 230+ yeah
Must be a bunch of team sports that didn't qualify
The JD Vance couch tweets are absolutely elite. Haven’t laughed this hard in a while
Here’s a thread of some of my favorites
wait till they see the dolphin ones now
been reported that Trump's idiot sons threw a temper tantrum because he didnt want to pick JD Vance and basically forced his hand
allegedly Musk was a part of it too, but who knows
he doesnt feel like a temper tantrum, more like a whiner/complainer
So the jokes that he picked Vance because Don Jr. Who basically looks the same annoyed him might be true
he's doing worse than Sarah Palin was at the moment lol
Good ol' Sarah "I can see Russia from where my house is on a clear day" Palin
Still no idea how McCain of all people picked her
musk and thiel being involved would make sense
probably explains why a bunch of SF VCs are suddenly openly pro trump now too
the only motive that makes sense for this ever being a realistic sequence is if a majority of conservatives are Patriot LARPing lol (they are)
Social policy as with their lead guy is an afterthought
yep
i was just making a joke cause that's like the most ridiculous scenario
altho they'll definitely pull the rigged card if they lose again
I mean they already are pulling the rigged card
Would be nice if the US could just return to at least having normal elections with, you know, the other side admitting defeat and not everything getting challenged in court
But it do be banana republic vibes every time
They're trying to prevent those pesky black voters from winning Georgia for the Dems again I presume
Impressive
Also since Biden dropped out 100K new people have registered to vote
The shift in energy has been crazy
Almost like this old sack of shit vs. sorta likeable but senile grandpa business was tiresome for many
Probably equal parts that and jd vance attacking cat ladies
Well known that you dont mess with that demographic
Dems have been going on the offensive nonstop since which is refreshing
They finally stopped playing the nice guys?
Was tired of the "they go low, we go high" mindset
Kamala's team has just been straight up calling Trump a predator, abuser, and fraud. Meanwhile, they are just calling JD Vance a weird misogynist.
The campaign cant really call him a couch fucker so they gotta settle for that
And somehow none of those things are exaggerations or lies
Oh grumpy, there's been a new development in the JD Vance weirdness news
Weirder than couch fucker?
Just Google his name and rollingstone monkey

It's crazy to think he might actually be worse than Palin
Isn't that pretty much a locked in fact by now
Well he is sitting at a net negative it can only go up from here!
Unless Kamala somehow picks someone worse than him, and she's not that stupid
i don't think mtg would accept it
struggling to think of others that fulfil that criteria
Governor of Minnesota gas been popping up recently as a VP to her. She realistically has a good crop of choices.
kelly just feels like a slam dunk
Last I saw the final 3 are Kelly, shapiro and walz
All 3 have their pros and cons but they have way more pros
straight white male still seems the optimal choice for obvious demographic reasons
Shapiro has high meme potential with ben shapiro tho
DEI hire
Kelly would be good for gun control and veteran related stuff
Isn't that a reverse-DEI hrie
Nah
you need to think like someone that is into couches
Actually on that note, lmao
buttigeig would be a great secretary of state
Oh also happily married, bonus points for veteran
it is shocking how hard Trump/Vance have been fumbling since RNC
every thing that trump says fuels Harris voters more
i feel for them, they thought they had an easy fight against a guy people thought has dementia
now they actually have to campaign
i could see a gay man being a good pick considering how the campaign is going (as the GOP has no idea of what to do and would literally just say a bunch homophobic shit)
He's basically achieving what he wanted to prevent the most, mobilize non-voters (who tend to vote Dem)
idk how "undecided" voters would like buttigeig
but a straight white dude is definitely the safe pick everyone is expecting
I do find it refreshing that whenever Trump says an obvious lie or something like "Obama doesnt even want to endorse Harris" the campaign immediately refutes that
buttigeig lmao
They're probably all just waiting for Trump to say "X doesn't endorse her" to then immediately endorse her
you just know he's malding at all the positive media attention he has lost
dude got shot and no one cares outside of his base
even the assassination story is now about how he didnt actually get shot
it was like a fragment
That was pretty much clear the day of, just got buried
ye but he claimed his ear was destroyed lmao
What was it, a teleprompter piece?
dude and his ear just looks fine
theory is that it was either a bullet fragment or glass shard
Like, if your ear gets shot it don't look like that
mmm conspiracy theories
Those aren't really theories
it was clearly the magic bullet that hit jfk
it's just crazy how the script as been completely flipped in the last month
for sure
grassroots support has been exciting to see
idk i've mostly seen 2 year old photos claiming to be new
Reverse image searching the reddit front page has been fun lately
Re: Kelly though, would it really be a good idea for Dems to potentially lose the AZ senate seat?
think the reason they would be ok with it is that if it helps secure the election, then it is worth it
isnt he getting replaced by the governor who is a dem or is that the other guy?
Governor would appoint someone to finish his term
and the governor is a dem so
the other AZ senate seat that is up for election is for Sinema's seat. Whoever wins that is there until 2030
That's not a democrat seat anyway
it really is crackpot conspiracy theories that he didn't get shot with a bullet.
https://apnews.com/article/trump-bullet-shrapnel-ronny-jackson-christopher-wray-cb780b9d1a078f0be4191682e75101cf
and you can go to the actual cspan video to see the teleprompters perfectly intact right after, around 40s mark
https://www.c-span.org/video/?c5123735/shots-fired-trump-rally
you would have to be consuming a particular brand of American media on the deep end to believe any of that
yeah i remember there was a lot of misinfo going around the day it happened, it barely hit his ear, hit a prompter that broke and hit his ear, etc
I say this as nicely as I can put it, because I can see both sides of it within my own family and friends as well as upbringing, the European perspective on American matters and politics is so severely skewed, it often does not reflect reality on the ground here, and even when it does, it's highly limited by geography of where it is reality and the social classes it applies to.
And the converse of that, American perspective on European politics, is basically nonexistent and completely uninformed, ignorant and probably apathetic.
I've been (sometimes more, sometimes less) loosely following national politics in the US for the better part of 2 1/2 decades now, I think I'm good, local politics I'm not gonna pretend I know much. I don't see how that relates to Trump actually getting shot though when there were actual news reports about the FBI still being in the process of confirming that (and not Mr.IHateTrump123 on twt or something), like it literally got officially confirmed and reported less than 24 hrs ago.
Seems like a very weird aside to insert the "You Europeans don't know shit" angle here.
apathy to foreign political fronts is correct on a very general scale across all countries
A good amount of people decided it was fake immediately. Legitimately scary how people are denying what’s right in front of them.
the debate was exactly one month ago. trump got shot 2 weeks ago. he picked vance 10 days ago. kamala harris started running 6 days ago. the jd vance couch article was 3 days ago.
how is it only july and how was that only 30 days of news
yep
Afaik i have no moot like that
thankfully
hmmm
Yeah, same... I think
Granted, most sane people would not just openly admit to something like this
Yeah I can't say 100%
answering questions like that depend solely on the content's explicit-ness or in this case, the dumb honesty of a given person.
It may also depend on who's asking
That he didnt get shot? Sure. That trump was being trump and heavily exaggerated his injuries?
He should have let the bullet hit his head so people wouldn’t doubt
thats how you get a civil war
This is an official account actually linked to her campaign right

Regulation for SNS is a good thing, he's not even wrong with that. WIth the tone of the article it feels like getting licensed involves more than that though
But if it's just about getting illegal shit of the platforms then it's very much fine
Malaysia has conservative + extremists religious shit there's gonna be more than JUST illegal shit
you're replying to a commie, and commies aren't known for liking free speech
Watch me not be able to to chat with y'all per 1 Jan 2025 because I am conversing with someone not Muslim
Free speech does not involve hate speech and illegal shit, simple as that
That American "I can say whatever tf I want without consequence" angle is a load of bs
Oh no, saying shit has consequences, that I support
good thing no one made that point then
It's the thing with my cabinet where they are VERY open about their extremisms
"BLOCK KPOP CONCERTS, THEY'RE THE CAUSE OF OUR YOUTH'S LACK OF SELF FAITH"
Yes, that was one of the parliament talking topics
So giving them any semblance of major authority to popular social media platforms will always end up getting entertainment content getting regulated/banned
And I am 100% against that
Well what if we had a dictator but he was a good guy
They're racists within our country's multiracial culture
what would your job on the revolutionary leftist commune be
Legit they blocked a hoster trying to host a concert because "Muslim youths could be affected/strayed"
They forgot we are a multilreligion country too
Professional doom scroller
So yeah no, they will use this to inject their religious bullshit
Not sure why they need to regulate social media to go after online gambling and scams but alrighty
Smth smth safe the kids smth smth
I'd argue that's the parent's responsibility
Kids should NOT be on SNS in the first place
Good luck transforming that prescription into a practical law
yeah because who doesnt love censorship
I'm in favor of censorship for anyone i find annoying
If i block you on twitter you should lose access to social media entirely
That's how it should be fr
can u block me
Yeah, every means of communication is regulated and subjected to oversight, tv and radio especially. Social media shouldnt get a special pass where they get to advertise cassinos to kids or whatever happens on instagram these days
Boo hoo the freeze peach

lmfao
LOL

how do you do, fellow gen alpha
man i feel like campaigns shouldnt be so dependent on private funding even from donations. Feels like it should be part of government budget to allocate the same amount to every top party and cap it.
its so weird to think about how sports leagues have so much better restrictions to prevent tampering than the actual government
hell, NCAA put athletes under a microscope for so long, stupid that ppl with the influence of politicians arent held to that degree
yeah Elon can just make America PAC and the election commission says it's legal for them to coordinate directly with the Trump campaign with giant donor and canvassing networks

The trump campaign is trying their best to give her all 3 of those at least
Gotta admit I did not expect the "she isnt actually black" attack angle
well now they are trying to do the "she wasnt actually born in the US" birtherism stuff again lol
polls and favorability are looking good for Kamala though so hopefully the trend continues
the "she isn't actually black" angle is coming straight from the RNC, and there were obvious signs they were appealing to black voters, especially young black voters during the convention with the various speakers they had.
it's one of those convoluted enough situations that they are trying to plant seeds of doubt for
The "she slept her way to the top and doesn't know what she's doing" combined with the "she's an evil crazy liberal communist mastermind" is funny
Trump sure did fumble whatever they were going for today though
literally karlmarxa harris
both sides are claiming his words to be to their benefit this time around, it really is a matter of perspective and hard to tell what impact it would have if any
Yeah, cause Birtherism worked so well the last 2 times. No one gives a fuck about those kinda nonsense accusations besides the people who are gonna vote Trump regardless of what anyone says or does
I wasn't giving my opinion on whether there's any legitimacy or potency to his words, just that both prominent GOP and prominent Democratic pundits and online personalities have been claiming Trump's words were a vindication of their side.
birthism stuff was always a very fringe and extreme side of the right in the past 20 years (although they would tell you that at least about Obama, it was Clinton campaign staffers that made that stuff up initially, allegedly in desperate times), and trump when he wasn't a politician did champion that stuff all the way up until his 2015-2016 campaign.
And the last two times, Trump wasn't running against Obama anyway,
this is peak r/fellowkids

holy that is a lot
i take it their gpu department failed like crazy
right, their 13th and 14th gen also had tons of problems
The CPU hardware issues not helping them either
Also find Intel GPUs humorous. They could compete on the low end in terms of value don't want to put out GPUs at a price point they can win at.
14th mostly and always at their flagship

I am honored to be the Democratic nominee for President of the United States. I will officially accept the nomination next week.
This campaign is about people coming together, fueled by love of country, to fight for the best of who we are.
Join us: https://t.co/abmve926Hz
It's official now
Her VP pick is bound to follow this weekend
there was never really a chance for anybody else given the campaign funding laws involved, good, now they can focus on the last stretch of the campaign
The only one who even tried was Manchin and basically no delegates pledged to vote for him cause lol
any major in-fighting would have basically brought democrats' chance to win to 0, so they had to get this over with quickly
Is he still pretending to be a democrat
Well he is claiming to be independent now but still "dem"
Bernie Sanders but the other side of the dem umbrella
As in running on a Dem ticket (if his seat is up this year anyway)
Sanders is what Democrats should be
both the right and the left in the US could really use a mitosis of their extreme and moderate sides

or left-center and center-right separation
4 parties instead
because the democrats are simply too right-wing by most other democracies' standards
not really labor focused, not really people focused, still cooperationists
and republicans have very right-wing parts and moderate center parts
Maybe the electorate is too right wing
it's really not though, that's why the american system often feels like an enforced uniparty
because the stuff the two parties differ on is so minute at times and irrelevant in the grand scheme of running the american government aparatus
not always, it's been a lot more polarized recently of course
Ok ngl I cant do the both sides thing today

I'll go with the "not literal nazis" party any day
The bar in the US really is that low
Yea its worse
I mean no, it's worse
Way worse, lol
dramatically worse considering the impact they have on world politics in general
foreign policy rarely changes too much between democrats and republicans, just look at biden's entire term in terms of world politics and foreign relations
still nazis anyway so
they'll threaten stuff for their voter base, but never really follow through
that's certainly a perspective to call GOP literal nazis, it's that kind of view that ends up causing Trump wins, it worked out really well for Clinton calling all GOP base basket of deplorables.
Gaza wouldnt even be a thing anymore if trump was president right now lol
but think of all those seaside hotels
I see, how much more help do you imagine Trump's government would have provided israel that Biden's government didn't?
Not to mention all the ukraine aid
But I told myself I wouldnt have this dumb both sides argument today and I shouldve listened to myself

I didn't really mean this in a "foreign policy" kinda way either, it's just that their platform and influence is huge
Like Bolsonaro taking a bunch of shit out of Trump's playbook, from the election denialism stuff to the covid vaccine conspiracy shit, causing hundreds of thousands of deaths here
Being close to Steve Bannon
People are using that exact line of thought in the AfD discourse btw. "But not ALL of them are nazis, just some of them! Please be civil"
Hey there's a reason why calling the GOP pundits "weird" is working in favor of Kamala's campaign
These people like feeling like they're dangerous, but if you just highlight how fucking stupid they are they start fumbling
Yeah, it's a pretty great move by the Dems
Kamala's potential VPs have all been going after the GOP hard recently
Mostly JD Vance which makes sense
SHouldn't they be doing that regardless of being VP pick
I've mostly seen Beshear, Walz, and Shapiro going after him. I haven't seen much Kelly stuff.
The dem talent pool is surprisingly deep
Young too
Besides Walz who is 60
Progressives want either Walz or Beshear. Beshear is from the same general region so that might help.
gru is warming up
gonna be very interesting

I wish ppl who cared about immigration cared as much about unemployment, homeless ppl, and drug addicted/mentally unwell ppl. Like I feel great seeing new immigrants who are just working towards a good life. I feel awful seeing ppl who grew up here live such disadvantaged lives.
All those issues are interconnected in one way or another. Immigration, which is just one factor or piece of the puzzle, becomes an easy scapegoat, as complex answers and solutions are not easy for people to understand and definitely not something politicians pursue.
Unemployment, homelessness, drug addiction and mental illnesses are tightly bound together as cause and effect, and mass immigration, especially the refugee/asylum seeking system feeds more into one of those four gateways and the cycle continues. Criminality is another element as well, though not as tightly bound to the rest, but only a factor.
If you aren't building enough infrastructure, whether that be healthcare facilities, schools, or housing, and you bring in more people than the system can handle, then homelessness rises, and if there are too many people and not enough job openings, unemployment rises, and if you don't vet the tens of thousands coming in, then you can't potentially filter out preexisting drug addiction and mental illnesses as well as criminal elements.
Add to that the cost of living crisis and the inflation that occurred during and continued after COVID pandemic, and the recession we're sort of in (whether they want to admit it or not), and it only exasperates everything else.
Yea it just feels so unproductive to scapegoat. Immigration processes are sometimes exploitable but it's rarely by those unwilling to work or have no understanding of the opportunity. If you've been around immigrants and expats in other countries, there's constant anxiety about how long they'll be able to stay, if they'll be able to become citizens, when they can see their families again back home. But even with all that they keep moving forward. Like why not channel that outrage to ask the government to invest more in infrastructure instead of making life harder for ppl already going through it. If unemployment is a result of immigrants taking jobs, don't protest them, protest the lack of infrastructure like you said. Lack of policies that are maybe not incentivizing new businesses to move in, or businesses to expand and hire more ppl. Or even maybe more incentives to move ppl away from city centers. There are opportunities away from big cities that aren't being filled. Ppl just wanna be mad at ppl who look different not actually find solutions it seems.
all of this shit is so fucking embarrassing as a Brit, these people are genuinely neanderthals at this point
I saw Casti raging on twt when it all started, too

Microsoft: -9%
Why is Tesla on that list
Like, they got losses as well, but in that lineup they're the odd one out
tesla is the #8 us tech company by market cap
But that's what they are, all the dumb posturing from Elon aside
They make shitty cars
They're not really valued as a car company
still, elon
That new car of theirs still looks like what a 10yr old would draw if you told them to draw the car from the future
tbh im more surprised broadcom is the #7 largest
Because Elon genius, duh
probably shouldnt be much of a surprise with how ubiquitous their stuff is but still
heh, everyone taking a 1-5% hit and then there's intel
Not only firms but also whole countries
all you really need to know tbh
time to buy the dip
Did Kamala say she's gonna ban technology if she wins or something
iran is preparing something it seems
Well.... go figure
it's combination of:
- unemployment rising
- fear of recession
- interest rates still kept high
The only recession happening is the one in Republican's heads when they try to convince people Dems bad and there was no significant increase in unemployment from what I can see that would be notable if it weren't election season
Interest rates do be high though
yeah i do believe this is an overreaction
I guess the middle east situation might be contributing as well
Eh, war has been looming in the middle east for a long long time
Gotta see how much gasoline you can pour into a fire before you catch fire as well
Remember when Iran fired 100 missiles at israel and nothing happened
That was largely symbolic
As were the last 50 times this happened
Thing is, they can only get away with sticking to that so often, eventually Netanjahu will get the actual war he seems to so desperately want (to stay in power indefinitely, cause war time ain't for politics amirite)
Oh noo guys I'll have to stay in the government for longer even if everyone hates me and wants me out oh nooo
Can't Mossad be a bit more subtle about things and go poison a tea cup or something
I know falling out of a window is trademarked by Russia
Neither israel nor iran seem like they have the capacity for a real war right now
kekga
At best theyre gonna throw around some more rockets
Kinda expecting the worse
specially bc Netanyahu been just ignoring whatever red line the US sets and facing no consequence at all besides someone on the white house being like "guys we had a serious talk"
While true there's also Turkey
"we told em guys no more escalation"
And Erdogan has made his stance very clear these past few days
Wow another strong man talking a big game

None of these countries can afford to invade each other
If the past has tought me anything it's that "strong" men talking big game leads to big wars eventually
If the strong men have the capacity to sure
I'd be really surprised if Turkey does anything at all
i'm usually in the "nothing ever happens" camp but governments are telling people to get out of iran and lebanon asap
Yep
australia raised their terror level to probable today too
I have a coworker listening to his news RN and he's kinda freaking out idk where he's from tho, heard something about govt just fell and pm escaped or something
Bangladesh
The PM who just fled was in Bangladesh
Im just saying an invasion isnt gonna happen
Ah
