I've heard genshin gets better later on but the story up until inazuma has been pretty lackluster, with star rail though xianzhou has been messy the events have been able to make up for it

So all in all there really isn't much to complain about the game, the dev team listens to the community and actually implements changes quickly, events are fun, and freebies like this are great
