they removed the 1$ sale, but idk if it is also the case with new accounts
Don't scare me with bugs from previous Bethesda games
They still have it in my country lol
i only put in like 3 hours into skyrim and besides that never played any bethesda either
RIP
ah he stole copies and sold them. no wonder then
Lol
Yes he did sold them for $200-$770
That's not even the fun kind of leak
I still have the leaked video
I watched myself the gameplay
So I'm confident in Starfield
if lirik plays ill watch his stream, but doubt he is going to finish it as he always changes games
As long as people don't preorder I don't even mind if they are excited about playing it. It is a massive game, that much at least is certain.
And you're doing gp, so that's fine
I’m into putting mods but the size of the game and vast of mods for it kinda puts me off for it
Especially since I like to do vanilla run first but knowing the hours vanilla game has plus having to replay it with mods got me iffy
i didn't care for mods. only added the bug fixing one
just didn't enjoy it
Understandable,it’s a hit or miss for some
Let's say we have FSR 2.1 or 2.2 during the launch of this game and it helps 1650 users get atleast 30 fps out of their PCs
Is 30fps on high settings?

accurate
wonder if he ever finished playing elden ring
low settings I'm talking about lol
the minimum is already 1070ti and u r expecting high on 1650 dam
Damn,we bout to be like
But my 1650 is doing good with FSR 2.0 Quality on low settings with medium textures in The Last of Us where it uses 4.5 GB Vram and 16 GB Ram completely
30-60 FPS
I even turned on some light effects
but we can't do FSR 2 Quality on Starfield but FSR 2 Ultra Performance
Hmm I c
Oh well, time to see it in first person
If it works well, then it works well
If not, then wait for a mod to fix it
Nothing new in the industry
The starfield edition wrap for the Xbox is really nice
it's not a bug tho because we playin in a 1650
The Jedi survivor also needs the same GTX 1070 as the minimum system requirements as Starfield and look at the gameplay in medium settings
btw this is without FSR 2, Medium settings
30 fps
Bro I honestly played this game at 60 FPS, no way I expected it wud drop like this in medium settings without FSR
We still have hopes for 1650 as it runs games at 30 fps in medium settings without FSR
Sheesh
AMD claims there’s nothing stopping Bethesda adding DLSS to Starfield, even with AMD as the exclusive PC partner. Starfield will include FSR 2, but we still don’t know if DLSS will be supported and Bethesda hasn’t commented yet. Details: https://www.theverge.com/2023/8/25/22372077/amd-starfield-dlss-fsr-exclusive-frank-azor
imagine if this game doesn't support DLSS
that wud be a huge backlash from the PC RTX gaming community
https://fxtwitter.com/KJovian/status/1694878847575941335?s=20 oh look a secret easter egg
Can I have that Wallpaper? it's looking cool
"Do you have any idea how much work that would be?" - Bethesda, probably
A triple A game in 2023 not supporting both AMD and Nvidia standards would be a huge joke btw. Like, this isn't the early 2000s
difference is that games in early 2000s were real bangers
kek
True, but point was back then the whole Nvidia vs. AMD thing was essentially like Playstation vs. Xbox for consoles, but that went away eventually because it was really, really dumb, even dumber than console wars
oof sammie looks like you're gonna have to work hard for that nitro
wait u guys giving nitro fr?
I feel absolutely nothing about starfield tbh lol
Doesn't help that the game's being released in two weeks and all i see about it is sammy posting random tweets from people trying to entice console wars

Not really interested on the game, never really been interested or played any Bethesda game 🤷
I do wanna play Prey eventually tho but idk if that's just published by Bethesda or what
yeah feels like the game has no marketing
or at least I didn't hear about this game for like a year until last week
Their presentation earlier on the year was pretty good honestly
But after that i didn't see anything about the game
I don't really pay attention to Bethesda presentation to begin with
"16 times the detail"
The starfield one was pretty good imo but idk
The vibe for this feels the same as when people didn't stop talking about how good cyberpunk was, without showing any gameplay
it was a long break until the hype started
atleast we saw a leaked gameplay this time
I didn't see shit
But if it ran well there that's neat
if your curious would suggest watching the xbox starfield showcase from earlier this year. shows all u need to know
Well im curious but not that curious
Never really got into Bethesda games so not really that intrigued, probably gonna check out some reviews tho
fair, we don't know how the gameplay experience is going to play out yet. nda ends 31st this month so waiting on that
no?
not really
I mean at least a gameplay trailer or smth
they showed alot. system, areas, etc... but hands on experience always very different
there is plenty of it
Ah ok, think I just misunderstood what you meant then
What awaits you among the stars?
The next-generation immersive RPG from Bethesda Game Studios, Starfield, arrives on September 6! Get ready to start your epic journey with a look at some brand new Starfield gameplay revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase. From space flight and combat to weapons, creatures and cities, there’s a lot to see.
S...
the showcase was pretty thorough
nah, i can understand how u can misunderstand
and yeah, showcase really does show you everything
Yea I think the showcase was really good in general
Well that looks like its either great or a no mans sky x cyberpunk 2077 level desaster
combining the 2 is a good comparison i'd say.
And with Bethesda's track record, people expecting it to be the latter is understandable

What I wonder is
Hopefully it's good
lets just say that, if there arent a million technical problems it is well worth getting excited for
Good games coming out is always good
Did they actually focus on this and just threw out that tes 6 announcement for PR or did they actually split dev time
different teams
these big studios never work on 1 game at a time
tes6 team also has to start small and slowly scale up
alot of the starfield team like design, writers etc who have finished their side will go and support another project
Makes sense
That is essentially what they call it themselves
And it's not the recommendation they seem to think it is
For plenty of people it is
Honestly, at this point if you are not a zoomer, you should know if you enjoy the bethesda rpg style
And after that it is about how broken it will be
just reading this line is funny
sad hard truth
It just works
At that scale there is not escaping some level of jank
If it is the funny stuff that people meme on yt, great
See, this is sort of the issue if you lie to people too often, Todd. Eventually only people unexperienced with your bs will give a fuck.
If nintendo can do it, surely so can bethesda
i played a lot of tes growing up and seldom experienced all the broken stuff people like to use as ammo
maybe i was lucky over my few hundred hours of playtime idk
but like some of it has to be down to players doing shit that breaks the game right

You may have to specify which TES
Some of it for sure
if only that was the case, but no. if it is people wouldn't be complaining so much
I've had 3 different playthroughs of Oblivion ruined by game breaking bugs that save files could not remedy, that's how my journey into Bethesda jank started
And no, I have never seen the end of that game
And if there is some country that is expert on janky rpgs, it's germany ( /wave Piranha Bytes)
morrowind/oblivion/skyrim never had major issues
through multiple platforms
That is just a flatout lie
Yeah, that is kinda lucky in Oblivion's case
i love that vid
nope, my files never got wankered
Ah, that sounded like you were generally speaking
If only the guy wasnt tied up in his witcher Review for like 10 years
I wanna see a totk review
bruh Skyrim on PS3 was a nightmare and could kill your file
Well ok, you personally were just lucky then
Skyrim was equally broken on all platforms for that matter, the only reason it worked was the patches on PC
And I don't mean official patches
(obviously)
But I played Oblivion on console and... you know
💀
anyone know to what extend fallout76 was improved too? i know it has gotten better, but since no one plays it because of launch and after that. got no clue lol
It still is a barren wasteland with nothing to do, no relevant NPCs and an effectively mandatory cash shop to make it playable
But you can just go and try if you have gamepass
so it is now less a technical problem and mostly a content one now cool
Didnt it get a battle royal Mode?
F76 still seems to be played if it doesn't die yet
I mean.... you just said "better than before"
nty, bethesda games are def not for me. although starfield does look fun if they didn't ignore having a proper story experience (first 30 hours)
But you gotta understand that is a very low bar
it outlasted the expected lifespan
i do have fun with the older fallout games and skyrim
but well i am not that much into bethesda
The best Fallout games are the CRPGs (1+2), fight me
i will
bcs that's not how to spell New Vegas
Fair, but no plasma cannons
eww that shit game
i almost said Prey was one of the better Bethesda games but that was made by Arkane Studios
New Vegas is a valid choice, but basically only because it wasn't made by Bethesda
think Bethesda was the publisher
arkane are lit when they make stealth games
I still need to beat Dishonored
dishonored remains one of the best
But there is stealth in Redfall
yeah prey and deathloop arkane
i went full murder route on dishonored
so is redfall apparantly
Dishonored probably peak Arkane though, arguably
good lesson in letting devs stick to what they're good at
first of all there are no enemies while u roam freely... what's the point of that game then
deathloop was very well received yes
nice
AI in that game is one of the worst though
concept sounded cool
but besides that people enjoyed it
From what I've watched and read Deathloop was flawed, but it did have a really interesting concept
Didn't play that one myself though
It is pretty much just Redfall, Arx Fatalis and DMoMaM were both great too
i could never get behind the spell system in arx
I could see that, it was unique
neat in concept but i could never get the spells i needed to work
DLSS 3.5 is here
I don't recall, was Arx fatalis the ego shooter but with spells game?
next month*
You draw the spells
not for me

I was thinking when FSR 3 gonna come
where GTX 16 series?
10 and above
this going to have biggest impact on ps5 as it uses amd. did xbox also use amd? i dont remember
Starfield is sponsored by AMD, so where tf is FSR 3?
it did
okay yeah, biggest impact on current gen consoles
in due time it will be added. seems like forspoken and immortals aveum are the first 2 and only ones announced to receive it this Fall
Custom AMD RDNA 2 GPU 52 CUs @ 1.825GHz
ahh need to wait ig
driver updates etc takes time
is it possible to manually add them?
jeez, each time i refresh twitter keep finding more intresting stuff

like any other driver update... amd/nvidia/gamedev needs to make it, and then u just update
wtf even is cod anymore
fish

this will take long
now we need fortnite dances
considering starfield is not only new, but also big and sponsored i doubt they will delay it too much.
oh shit, it looks like outbreak, but using all the old zombie maps. looks fun

See the new RPG from the world of Granblue Fantasy. This is an action RPG, where you're going to have to save the world from primal beasts and astral gods. You can play on PS5 and PS4 in late 2023.
ooohhh granblue
where is grumpy... pls let him play starfield so I can win a month of nitro
i'm struggling to describe granblue relink
character driven party based monster hunter doesn't feel right
so these games receives FSR 3
huh, no starfield in there
and wukong not coming out till next summer
watching armored core 6 whole evening and it is shit too watch, but does look fun to play it yourself
AMD has just announced its Radeon RX 7800 XT and 7700 XT, starting at $449. They’re designed for 1440p and come with a free copy of Starfield. Details: https://www.theverge.com/22327528/amd-radeon-rx-7800-7700-xt-gpu-price-release-date
in future I might build a PC mostly with AMD CPU+GPU
Wait frostpunk 2 is a thing?
AMD GPUs look cheap
yeah, hasn't released yet though
Halo Infinite still doesn't have DLSS or AMD FSR
It uses Bilinear resolution scaling
And you can still play at over 100 fps in medium settings and it won't lag
Due to the weird resolution upscaling that prefers fps
Image quality remains the same
Classic joe vid
Love this guy
i have amd and its a banger
Yes better

against Balteus:
"ah shit, here we go again"
It's kinda funny seeing some streamers being stuck on certain parts for 3 hours
and then seeing Bahroo just going full speed double shotgun double laser cannon and beating everything on 1st or 2nd try
Bahroo completed the "literally impossible" nightmare mode of Remenant. he just does max difficulty with every game, which boggles my mind
yeah he is both incredibily stupid and amazing at very difficult games
he did those impossible ironman challenges with long war in xcoms he did those 900% or whatever runs in They are Billions
he beat the AC6 yesterday he is gonna continue with NG+ today apparently
and also there is TennoCon today if anyone is interested
I'm surprised how many stopped at the tutorial boss. never played an AC before and took me 2-3 tries. and I'm pretty below average on high difficulty games
I still think it was pretty crazy that the devs made the Ring of the Admiral in Remenant with "Literally Impossible" engraved because of Bahroo
he is now doing PvP with his shotgun wheelchair build
and he is struggling with finding someone that can beat him
Weekend Moment
No, I don't have a PS4 or PS5, It's my PC
my controller got dehydrated... need to recharge it
Great game
ok quadlegs hover with mid/long range is the counter to shotgun wheelchair
Elon Musk getting booed at VALORANT Champs and the crowd starts chanting "bring back Twitter" lmao
Gamers move indeed
https://fxtwitter.com/TheRealDfea/status/1695414296912576964?s=19 guy was just testing out something in tutorial
You guys probably already saw this screenshot flying around & people saying "You cant explore planets, bethesda lied!". Guys, There is nothing stopping you from exploring the planet. It just may be a loading screen or you may have to land at the next spot (a short loading or cutscene) to continue exploring the same planet. It evem says in the sc...
And the PS fans come and started spreading misinformation
Ohh the misery
you're really gonna pull this when you routinely post xbox fanboys doing the same about playstation?
I only see Xbox fanboy posts because they are mostly Halo players and then their fellow Xbox friends and then it goes on
I don't see any PS Fanboys in my Twitter because well I only check their for PlayStation PC releases
i defeated balteus
took me 2 days and multiple tries and never once expected to resort to a pulse blade of all things.
nice game
Someone said the 30 fps in Starfield is not good enough with Series X (someone who got a review copy)
There are many loading screens
Gunplay similar to Fallout 4
And they haven't seen too many bugs yet
30fps isnt good enough in 2023 in general
FSR3 will fix that soon in Xbox
Don't know about PS
Frame generation, what a good concept
Sadly GTX users like me won't be getting that feature but FSR3 Upscaling only
fsr is shithouse though
Ohh btw I'm playing my games at 30-60 FPS, it's not much noticeable until you hit below 30 FPS
ive been playing at 144hz for like 8 years, 240hz for the last 3
It's good that it exists for people like me
I can notice something different but my eyes can't tell
And I turned on vsync on a 60 Hz display
Well there is screen tearing so I had to
if youre gonna do that
Freesync you mean
no, fast sync
its a version of vsync that doesnt have the input lag penalty
vrr is also good
Ohh there's no input lag here
My TV doesn't have
5 years old Sony TV with a fake HDR certificate
vsync does have input lag, you probably just dont notice it lol
triple buffered is way worse
i think fast sync is just an nvidia thing, at least it used to be years ago
Ooo let's check this
There is Adaptive as well
adaptive isnt the same
iirc if youre vsynced at 60hz and you drop, adaptive temporarily drops you to 30hz until you go back up to 60
or something like that, there used to be half a dozen different vsync options
Good now?
Oh there's a bunch of setting here set to default
Why is power management mode in Optimal Power
Lol
you dont need to mess with those since its at the driver level
rather than per game
using fast sync make sure vsync is off ingame
Ok let's test this out
haven't played anything to test it out yet
Not as good as the hype made it out to be
from just desktop usage I can't tell the difference between 144
I could go back to 144hz no issue, give me oled motion clarity instead
Is that the university chapter
isnt that very late game
or u mean the school with bill
yes
but now I finished it
Lighting effects decrease my FPS dam bro
https://twitter.com/Wario64/status/1695809585389740466?s=19 i guess they had brought it back
You should see what fog effects will do
iguess no flooring has been laid down
There are background NPCs in Starfield
I should hope so, lol
stealth in space
btw WTF Bro? why tf it happened and how? hooman beings destroyed everything RIP
oh this sucks... shet
It really is Fallout in space, huh
It is Fallout in space
confirmed
Peeps who haven't played Fallout here pls go and play that game first before coming into this game
I myself have not played it yet so...
there is no NMS kinda planet exploration , engine is limited , planet is loaded as levels
Oh it’s out now?
No.
I'm waiting on the NDA to be over to check anything about this game lol
Cause then people can actually post vids and talk about it
its quite funny seeing people coping over the boundary thing

ah yes it's that time again for rage compilations
LMAO
epic gaming experience
guy was doing a big ama about the game a couple hours ago here if you want to read https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLeaksAndRumours/comments/163cmjl/starfield_questionnaire_im_the_leak/
idc enough about it to check
will just watch reviews when it comes out
Well it's engine limitation, you can't promise running everywhere with that engine unlike No Man's Sky
Just get a better engine then :v
Creation engine good for mods tho
blaming faults on a notoriously jank engine is a bit of a cop out
starfield was always marketed like a go anywhere do anything sandbox
It will destroy Series S then lmao
Every game has a limitation
Also the planets are loaded as levels so you gonna see a loading screen each time you land on a planet
Series s being a limiting factor for so many new games is 😔
horizon forbidden west has you fast traveling from one side of the map to the other in like 2s
no load screens if you walk/fly it
Not anymore with Baldur's gate
its possible, just devs dont want to put the effort into their own engines
that guys ama shows that he was hitting invisible walls just from normal exploration
Yes it still is. They had to cut splitscreen for the series s just to make the game work on it
Xbox even sent over people to help getting splitscreen to run on series s, but, it just wont
Now we will see other developers asking Microsoft for compromises
Which they will only get if the game is big enough, aka, probably never again
It can't, bro it's a potato console c'mon
You saw the graphics in it? Grass doesn't even exist in every game this console plays
I mean, it's an insane console for the price. But the fact that it has to share games with systems that are a million times faster is just a deathblow for it
ms been giving themselves L after L with series S
cant believe they tried to market it as a 1440p machine
Series X being a lot better tho
when UE5 games run at less than ps2 resolution
FSR3 on the way so Phil don't need to quit Series S
But why Xbox is doing this since Xbox One S?
I mean, when it released it was very much a capable 1440p machine
But ?5? Years later now, yeah...
? both consoles have been using upscaling since the pro refresh
Ah 3 years
on crossgen titles yea
Hm, I thought they were older already
not really the "next gen 1440p" machine it was made out to be
its not like the X/ps5 running at 720p internal is much better but at least the upscaling doesn't look completely like someone smeared vaseline all over your display
Yeah, that's the problem with releasing hardware that is basically just good enough for what you market it for at release. Within months it won't be what you made it for anymore 😔
this time i don't actually think the hardware is that bad
in this case its the software pushing too hard
Isn't is basically a 1060 equivalent in there?
I thought xsx was 3060?
no, i dont even think 30 series was out by the time the consoles were
I mean in terms of equivalent performance :P
all the consoles have rdna2 cards i think
sx is like 5-10% faster than ps5 on gpu since it has like 6 or so extra gpu cores but its a negligible difference for the avg user
ehhh its hard to compare across gens
But yeah, when you develop a game for basically like, a """3060""". Except you have to take into account that it needs to run very well on a """1060""" as well is just kinda silly in 2023
the xsx i think was designed for a future where xbox cloud gaming was successful
not an idea that aged well
Series S seems like the ultimate cloud gaming machine yeah
if anything the s is overkill for streaming
they were meant to be working on a small chromecast like box
that looked like a tiny series s
idk what happened to that
Probably shelved because cloud gaming hasn't kicked off yet
i guess if you want to stream 4k a good decoder would be useful
but then they went amd instead of nvidia so that wasnt it
I guess the best purpose of the series s is being a "ultra mainstream" console for all the guys out there who only play like, fifa, fortnite, and cod :P
yea which is fine and all but the marketing for it was just lol
"its just a seriesX but 1440p!!!"
when in reality it struggled to get 1080p on a lot of things
Yeah, the budget 1440p monster. Like, sure, for the titles at release I guess it could run that playable at 1440p. But any new games after that... yeah
im just hoping the trend of having both 30fps and 60fps modes continue
instead of cutting 60fps in pursuit of fidelity
upscaling 1440p to 4k to get 60fps is so much better than 30fps at native 4k
For me it depends on the game I guess
Anything fast paced, high fps for sure. Slow games I'm fine with low fps if in return it also looks insane :P
Me running skyrim at 30 fps with 8k texture mods
Me playing the last of us at 30-60 FPS
I wonder if I can manage to finish one BG3 playthrough before Starfield releases
How to tell them both are different?
For clear understand, No Man's Sky is a Space Sim but Starfield is a RPG game like Fallout but on space...
nms isnt a sim
That doesn't invalidate their point
theyre rather close, its just that starfield has a narrative whereas nms doesnt
at least last i played it didnt
Also Bethesda advertised the whole "There are THOUSANDS OF PLANETS that you can visit!!!!111" thing pretty heavily, so....
Pretty fair to compare the two in space exploration
not the same but astroneer was fun for a bit
See that mountain?

AMD destroying Nvidia like this wud be iconic
AMD has tried that for literal decades and they've usually lost the fight
So good luck with that
is this the fabled pcmr civil war
Of the olden days, ye
Them making the tech available for all graphics cards is pretty neat tho even if fsr hasn't really been that great

It reduced the size of the game in Xbox Series X tho damn

Starfield boundary controversy perfectly explained by Tik Toker @ patloller
Imagine getting angry at Bethesda for making a Bethesda game.
Source below ⬇️
sounded like a lot of coping to me
no mans sky gets panned for its planets not being as diverse as promised
starfield does it and suddenly its okay because it's bethesda
bethesda fanboys are cringe
if you're a game company and you're making a space game and your main selling point is exploration
xbox fanboys coping that it isn't 100% what bethesda made it out to be is cringe too
these kinda technical hurdles are something you're supposed to overcome on like the first steps of development
lol
also kinda funny to ask why would someone want to walk around the planet on the game supposedly about exploring

the reddit ama guy confirmed that ||world tiles don't connect to each other, so when you land next to a city for example, you can't actually see the city at all, and when you leave a tile, you cant return to the same one as the same spot will regen a new tile||
sounds pretty bad
Guess outer wilds will keep the spot as the only space exploration game that matters
a bit immersion breaking but i dont think itll bother me too much
i do think its just a little funny that nms does procgen better
if the game's good and runs well i think the limitations won't be as big of an issue
someone posted leakers pc specs too
Leaker reports they are running 3800x/2080ti @ 1440p on the above high settings.
He gets 45-60 fps most of the time, 60-70 fps in dungeons and space.
which ngl is a little concerning
damn
game is cpu bound meaning that my 5600x/3070 at 1080p probably wont get much more than 60-80
and even if dlss gets ported, upscaling to 1080p looks bad
Spore in Space Age still best Space Exploration game
ratchet and clank is better than all of the space games mentioned in this channel
going commando was my shit back in the days
most real shit ever said in this channel
TRUE
Mm yes it's time to shitpost
That's not even a shitpost tbh
Somebody pls teach him some space science that those are gas giants and there's literally no surface is present?
I can accept even the boundary controversy
but don't be this guy, he doesn't even know about space science and haven't studied those planets in irl
can't blame someone if they simply dont know. does that really look like gas to you without prior knowledge
it doesn't but blindly claiming that u can land on them before u know what they are, atleast u shud have learned something
looks like planet must be a planet simply as
idk how many people will try to land on Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune without knowing they are completely gas giants
idk if landing on mercury will melt u tho
the power of video games. it can literally teach you like i believe what outer worlds also does iirc
he going to learn and regret posting that tweet later
Not space but Assassins Creed makes every history fan explode
It's me I'm history fan
btw who's going to walk on the planets until u see the boundary warning?
learning new things always good and fun in the middle of playing
u mean just like cars and such? starfield only has the planes?
I learned so much about the Borgia
Afterwards I wish I didn't but I did
Space vehicles
like Halo's alien vehicles
i haven't played halo
played it once many years ago on the 360 at my cousins place and halo infinite release first 2 days a bit. thats my entire halo experience
vehicles doesn't have wheels but they will hover around
ohh those vehicles
This implied "No one's gonna do that anyway" doesn't exactly work as an argument when someone has already done it. And people who love exploration would've definitely done it as well.
to actually add on it. a reviewer mentioned they hit the boundary simply by cassualy walking around. so not even while they were out exploring
I honestly don't get why they have to limit the on-planet space either with invisible walls when tiles get randomlygenerated anyway
game barely hits 30fps, let alone what it would be without the limit
What is that logic man
You don't see all of the planet
None of this would impede on your fps
it is still loaded in
You can 10000% load stuff in in a way that doesn't tank your fricking fps
Countless games do that shit
well, tell them to go and further optimize it

lmao
"planets"
it'd be funny if you could bonk the core tho
gas giants are pretty cool
not a shitpost, r&c is godly
even the movie tie-in/reboot was good
remember, the planets are levels. So whenever u land ur surrounding area is loaded as levels as in tiles... when u reached the boundary, u need to reload and that's not gonna be good for consoles
I can agree, I liked Ratchet and Clank from it's trailer itself so downloaded the game today
After finishing The Last of Us
The OG games were a huge part of my childhood, and i just picked up the new one for PC the other day aswell
Tons of fun so far
Incredible visuals, too
basically it's console limitation (Series S oof) or engine limitation
Consoles do that just fine in... lets see.... every open world game ever (well, not the ones released in broken state, but on principle, you know) and each planet is gonna be far less intricate than your average open world
In fact most planets are just hunks of rock
Far out, man
hd189733b my beloved
Review soon
In this case it seems likely to be an engine limitation, but who knows. Modders can probably solve this
hows path of exile for casual gamer that just want to play on 1 character?
The assassin order aren't in the history books because they were too good at being assassins
Cesar Borgia's death was a cover-up
lmao wth
Those planets are gas giants
That is most dumbest tweet I ever seen
Gaming community become weird
If we want further realism, then we shouldn't be able to land humans on planets like Venus cause that shit is hot af and we don't want an Indiana Jones Crystal Skull moment
I agree with you
Considering the longest anything we've built that lasted in the Venusian surface is 110 minutes and that's all metal, imagine soft squishy humans
Imagine going to land jupiter you would die instantly
Well not instantly, just slowly building up pressure until your spaceship pulls a...
Tornadoes roam around the jupiter
Just aim for the big red dot
Dumb ways to die
The best way to explore a new world is to land on it. That's why humans have sent spacecraft to the Moon, Venus, Mars, Saturn's moon, Titan, and more.
But there are a few places in the solar system we will never understand as well as we'd like. One of them is Jupiter.
Jupiter is made of mostly hydrogen and helium gas. So, trying to land on it ...
Good infographic separating parts of Jupiter's atmosphere and what it would look like
Just play KSP1

random thought:
with the way Armored Core was done and it's reception, makes me wish Harmony Gold was no more and at the same time, Fromsoft (or anyone) could do a really good Macross game
the power of music!
"You've got touch! You've got the power! YEAH!!!"
(yes I know it's Transformers related but still)
Robotech: Battlecry was the only Macross game that I know of and could see a much better, crazier more modern Macross could be.
Macross Plus favorite, especially because of Yoko Kanno soundtrack
ive only watched delta and frontier. delta my personal fav
did not expect this
lol so glad i got rid of console gaming
fuck outa here playstation
I mean, this was expected
Basically always when one of the big online services of whichever kind increases their prices the other ones follow suit a bit later
And Gamepass did indeed increase theirs not too long ago
development cost increase, game price increase, then services too
still years away
spiderman 2 going to be 98gb
imagine dragons is doing gaming music againg, but for starfield this time
big L
Here's hope you bought it on sale
Cause that thing ain't worth it full price.
(neither is the PS5 or Switch for that matter, always buy em on sales)
Yeah the guy gave me a discount
10% not much but hey 30 dollars saved
always owned a play station but ps5 is not worth it if you dont have a 4k tv
Fair enough. I mostly got my PS5 because of my 4k TV. But then again, isn't that the same for the Xbox? The 4k argument that is?
You're telling me you don't even have an 88" 8k oled tv????
Really now, 4k TVs nowadays aren't even that expensive any more
Unless you wanna cover your whole damn wall or something
I bought my 4k tv a few years ago for like... 275 I think? A Xiaomi one
I don't have it anymore though since I moved back in with my dad so I have access to a 4k oled instead
same for xbox series x but it’s different for the series s
Insane I wouldn’t even know where to look
Yeah haha
I just don’t understand why upgrading my ssd will cost literally 150 dollars
Because haha, we want more money
With ps you can at least like, plop in your own m.2 ssd as long as it's fast enough and has a heatsink and such. Instead of some weird proprietary ssd thing that xbox uses 😔
true, been meaning to pick one up now m.2s are getting cheaper
well nzd
standard is 130 or some shit
when ill just pay $1 for the 14 day trial and finish it
oh nzd has a very different value it seems
its in shambles rn
it's so confusing that all of these currencies use same symbol
get gamepass and u will get a discount
btw Microsoft removed that 14 day trial
works on my machine
Probably varies by region
wait lemme check in mine
also why tf it's $12
meanwhile here it's just $0.8
oof not anymore
review embargo drops in 15 min i think?
no idea what the time is, but should be today whatever timezone they decided to go with
you're correct, few more minutes
streamers have started playing the game it seems
streamers
yeah, they are allowed to play the same as the review embargo
7 score from ign
Starfield reviewed on PC and Xbox Series X by Dan Stapleton.
It’s never a great sign when someone recommends a game on the grounds that it gets good after more than a dozen hours, but that’s very much the kind of game Starfield is, and I do recommend it. There are a lot of forces working against it, and the combination of disjointed space travel...
just waiting for the tweet with all the scores listed
oof
gamespot gave it a 7 too
those reviewers gonna want to lock their twitter for a while
good
fanboys might be angry, but 7 overall not bad
because it is not atleast an 8
because fanboys lose their shit when hyped up games arent 9+
but at the same time review sites only have themselves to blame for that
7 is big enough
7 shouldnt be "good", its very good
reviewers use a 5 as if its awful when it should just be average
VGC giving it 5 stars
not sure if i should just snipe the $1 trial now in case ms removes it before now and wednesday
they already did
nah ive done the $1 thing like 5 times by now over the years
looks good
but now we wait for all these streamers to give us their less subjective reviews
was i supposed to use the word objective?
looking good
character creation ui reminds me how the menu looks in Nier automata
@neon scroll Cmon, how about u give it a chance now
"A huge game with excellent performance and very few bugs" that's not something you expect to read about bethesda release
I personally don't have anything current to try it, much less a next gen console.
gamepass or watching a streamer play it is a safe bet.
guess being part of Microsoft has higher standards they needed to follow
there was some noise about them helping heavily with QA
more like ms will throw more resources at something if they deem it worthy
well, if you look at their backwards compatability team, it's a good idea of what they're capable of
Halo 3 back then
343 was in the opposite direction unfortunately
watching cohh, some of those traits are hilarious
well, it's a mix of FO/Elder Scrolls in the backend. guessing traits are more Fallout like?
Welcome back, baby
yeah, they seem like mixture of bonuses and flavour, not just number stuff
oh my
flying to planets and landing on planets are fast travel points
Shroud currently killing random wildlife
Starfield deflected the Cyberpunk situation
but it got into TLOU situation
game sucking out a lot of resources
Our Starfield Performance Review is here taking a look at framerate and performance of the game. Bethesda returns with their biggest game since Elder Scrolls. Starfield is the space adventure we have been waiting for since 2018 and now it has landed. How does it run Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S? What Starfield PC requirements do you need to ...
the Halo Infinite moment
Dam
The Xbox Series S doesn't have the dude
literally unplayable
wait starfield only came out today?
tf were people talking about for the last few weeks then
oo
The analysis you've been waiting for. We're planning to deliver a much more in-depth technical review for Starfield but we're kicking off with answers to some of the big questions: how solid is performance? What about bugs and polish? How does Xbox Series S shape up bearing in mind we've seen nothing of the S version pre-launch? You have questio...
"Uninspired main story with weak writing", "Underwhelming vision of space exploration", "Shallow RPG mechanics with regard to dialogue, quest solutions, and influencing outcomes", "Terrible map system that makes key locations tough to navigate", says IGN about an open world space RPG game, and gives it a 7

Makes sense to me!
her hair
wow sudden hair colour change
only possible with creation engine
And clothes
ngl, like the clothes better in S
Beauty Gurus Hate Her
performance seems to be mostly good on both systems nice
is looking very much like Fallout in space with a cleaner engine so far. but no flying in/out of planets like a space sim (that I've seen)
No DLSS in Starfield is confirmed
IGN having the worst review score is not something you see often. Did someone over there suddenly grow a spine
The PlayStation Portal remote player launches starting November 15 🛜
Pre-order details: http://play.st/3OGt0v4
who's gonna buy?
November 15 release
It be like that. Fanbois gonna rage at anything below a 9.5/10 anyway. And scores below a 5 just don't exist at all, really.
they already doing
look at this tweet
now they compare it with IGN themselves lol
mhmm we know how to have fun
my thoughts are that I don't speak stroopwafel
i honestly thought ign reviews were just translated to diff languages instead of them actually being different
never used dutch one as it always is much more empty
Bethesda didn't send a check
I remember when IGN America gave GoW: Ragnarok a 10 and IGN Korea gave it a 6
Fun times
oh yeah that happend lmao
didn't realize it didn't embed
but yeah, after 30 years they closed down. (creators of saints row)
had alot of fun with both 3 and 4
anything after 4 really

nice bug
ngl
game seems to have been mostly bug free, so some minor ones can be excused
yay got another mount
argus, damn, the only times I went there past few years was when someone wanted me to make them portal to the rare
also got a fel spotted egg today, so maybe can get another manta ray mount if lucky enough
will take 5 days to hatch. just simple collecting in WoW is always fun
its funny how a 7 is seen as bad when that's still above an average score
maybe its because reviewers are just too scared or being paid too much to ever give a game anything below that
but 7 is absolutely a good number for your game to be
In theory of how it should be yes, practically no
basically everything below a 5 isnt worth writing a review about
if you like Fallout/ Elder Scrolls, it's looks pretty good. if you're expecting more space sim elements, it's not looking like it. but it looks to be Bethesda's best rpg.
idk about that one, chief
given that the RPG elements are apparently rather lackluster
as in it's their best Fallout/Elder Scrolls RPG that isn't buggy. compared to most RPGs, of course it is pretty lackluster.
BG3 is tops for RPG
Slightly earlier access for premium edition has to be the worst recent trend in gaming monetization
The worst thing about that is the apologists for it
But its always funny to see some Studio come up with some new way to farm money
And then slowly all the big Studios start copying it lmfao
I blame Blizzard
fortnite save the world already had early access pre-order aswel
that's been going on for awhile too. "here, you can play the beta if you preorder"
to
"here you can play early if you preorder/ get ultimate super edition"
Fortnite is free though, you don't pay 30+ bucks extra
fortnite save the world
no it is not, this is the zombie gamemode that came out way before the battle royal
In that caseit definitely didn't popularize this trend, which is what we're talking about rather than "someone did it ages ago and no one noticed"
The one they abandoned cause the battle royale blew up?
pretty much yeah. was very fun game too loved playing it
damn, skillup also didn't get review code for starfield
wdym, the more critical outlets won't get review codes? shocking.
too much honesty for them
I mean they also gave eurogamer a review code but asked them to only put up a digital foundry review 💀
they gave eurogamer a code, after the tweet saying they did not get one
many outlets didn't get one
Yea of course
Im just saying its even weirder to give a Code to an outlet but effectively limit what they will review about it
Maybe reviewers relying on the good will of the studios is secretly bad for the industry
Sounds like a Bethesda game alright :^)
K that's sus
Why every IGN from other countries giving Starfield 9/10 to 10/10 and IGN giving them only 7/10
Is IGN biased towards PlayStation or what?
... how does that logic make sense
IGN JP would be the most biased towards Playstation
And yet they are the ones giving the "WILL NEVER BE ON PS5!!!!111" game a 10
Honestly, the 7/10 is the most realistic out of all those scores given the stuff they stated
https://fxtwitter.com/Mr_Rebs_/status/1697405313014521985?s=19 I wanna know what happened
Go travel to some museum to read a text blurb
Truly riveting storytelling
Atleast no need to collect some lost audio clips and pics and writings to know what happened
Just museum
I mean... at least with audio clips someone put in some effort
Why waste time with audio clips when you can put it all in one place
Save money from voice actors

Understandable have a nice day
They don't have 3050 in default global graphics settings file
3050
My friend says he's getting 60 fps in Starfield with a RTX 3050 at full power
Waiting for combat results
It goes from 30-60 fps in GTX 1650 which is good ig
I have got a trick to play Starfield early without buying premium edition
It adds more atmosphere I guess
https://fxtwitter.com/HazzadorGamin/status/1697291226024915272?s=19 even this guy is questioning the decision of IGN
"decision" it's a subjective review...
so that ign person did not like it that much, big whoop, there really is no reason to dwell on it
I swear everyone is overreacting over these reviews
"different people enjoy different things" more breaking news at 10
People acting as if IGN's word is like, a factual objective final verdict of what something is like
ign: "7/10 has its flaws"
so biased!!!
welovexbox123: "10/10 masterpiece"
so true!!!
reviews for hyped games like this should mostly just be ignored
Mfs when one IGN gives Starfield a 7/10
mf really hit them with the "whateveer...... i dont care....."
The 3rd person looks better than 1st person
4th person when
Fun moment
FK this shet, it suddenly attacked me
Wait WTF
Vasco called me Captain Sammie
Bro I entered the name Sammie
But how it's in the voice files?
AI voice built in or what?
Ok so
The space exploration is not a real space exploration
You are just stuck in a skybox, it might look like you are moving in space but no you are stuck in a skybox, it goes on... even if you try to approach a planet closer, the planet will be still far away from you
In order to land on the planet, you need to open the universe map and select a landing spot and hold X (I played in controller) to land on the planet
It's not like no man's sky where you directly land on a planet, just a loading screen in between and then you see yourself a cutscene of landing on that planet
Same for taking off
ppl should really stop acting like 7 is bad
yeah, that really takes away the space exploration sadly. the game has an insane amount of loading screens for today
Me who played for 4 hours, I saw a bunch of loading screens
was watching a stream in the background yesterday and each time i tabbed it was either them in the menu or in loading screen half the time
PlayStation State of Play is coming in September according to new rumors

persona 6

Persona 6
Bro I need more health, I often die in Starfield
Enemies are bullet spongy
Human beings destroyed Earth WTF, it looks lifeless now
Persona 7
eh seems pretty realistic to me
We're almost there already
It's a rock
No way you guys destroying earth
This ain't good
No atmosphere, but hey there's a civilian outpost on Earth's moon
People started living in moon now
The full overworld theme for Super Mario Bros. Wonder, from the updated Japanese site:
It's the same with the anime community and it's a massive pepega
People see a 7/10 and assume it's bad. Like what?
How can 7/10 be bad when on/under 3/10 exists
Mfs be like "Yeah the show was mid 7/10" 💀
I mean, anything below 6 means it's bad
Like, if my grades are below 6 I have a problem
So even though 7 is basically just good, it's not too far away from being kinda.....
5/10 is literally the definition of mid
yes, if you ignore the context of most reviewers not using the whole scale
If I would get a 5/10 it would be the definition of you fucked up for me
considering u need a 5,5 here to pass, you really did fuck up
6/10 is above average and 7 is good
again, the scale is not being used that way
what is so hard to understand about that
On a scale of 1-10 you never aim for like, anything below 10 really
So the average is not 5
The average is going to be like 7.5
Because you're only really looking at 5-10, because you only aim to get a positive grade
Now in practice the average ofc won't be 7.5
That would be more of a technical average
What I do find funny is that people get worked up over a variable number as if it'll affect their enjoyment of a game like it would wildly change if was a 10 or a 7
Getting a 6 on a scale of 1-10 is basically sub-par
yeah, that is silly
"I really enjoy and love this game but I can't because some gamers rated it really low"
think 7-10 is less a entertainment problem and more of the quality of the product at that point
If a game is a 10/10 for you then hooray
one can have just as much fun even with lower overall product quality
Oh yeah for sure. Like, always take grades reviewers take with a bag of salt. Look at the review / gameplay / whatever itself and based on that form your own view of the game rather than having it and the grade determine your opinion
Why are we still using IGN ratings as a end all basis anyway? Same company that deducted points for having "too much water"
I mean we are not, it's just sammie that kept bringing them up here
Subnautica gets a 0/10 for me, there's literally too much water
I don't think I've ever really looked at ign reviews before, I mostly just check like, metacritic and watch some gameplay stuff and such
Or nintendolife for switch games
I don't check review scores anymore, they're mostly skewered anyways
I watch gameplay
I checked the reviews to learn about technical stuff and then went for opinions to those people that I know view these games similar way to me
Yeah, I tend to not really pay attention to the score and more to what is written in reviews
ign score and other reporters are more just out of curiousity for me. skillup and audience score at metacritic only 2 i pay attention too seriously. oh and digital foundry
And whether my potato PC can run it
considering cyberpunk unless it is digital foundry def not a good idea
Cyberpunk ran fine for me
I played cyberpunk day 1 and it ran perfectly for me with zero bugs at all
Used up all my luck that year on cyberpunk :^)
I "played" (
) Cyberpunk too but my PC said nah fam
my cyberpunk experience:
day 1 played2 hours
day 2 nty
day 3 50 minutes
day 60+ refunded
Present - bought it on sale for 25 many months ago and still not touched it.
I have like, 140 hours in the game I think?
I'm not sure
I would have to download gog to check so cant be bothered rn
dunno
Base? Base on what
base ps4 (not pro version)

Base on my lack of money
The most money I've spent on a non-gacha game is ATS
I can understand IGN giving Starfield 7/10 because it's how the game it is and giving 7/10 is already fair enough
its also like 150 dollars so like wth
ssd's for a ps5 aren't 150
Like, a 2TB ssd that's suitable for ps5 costs $100
Or a 1TB ons $50
Long time I didn't updated my acc 🥸
