Flash mini community events

Every few hours a new community event appears where everybody can participate and top players in leaderboard get a rewards
It would have its own leaderboard and icon
Upon clicking it you would see the time before new event and if event is currently undergoing, you'd see how much time left before it ends.
You'd see all players taking part of the event directly or indirectly

Example of events :
Generate most gold in x hours
Generate most gems in x hours
Spend as much gold as possible
Spend as much gems as possible
Do x amount of quests in x hours
Etc
It would be non stop, day and night, when an event ends, a new one begins after x hours

Small events where top winners earn some gems or gold or shards or whatever

Would make the game even more competitive!

I've seen this before in a few mobile games. I've never seen it not cause burnout as players who want to be first in everything struggle to be on constantly, and the people who are free to play can never be in a reward bracket so they don't even try.

How would you combat this?

Then maybe make events targetting specific types of players? Like those who are p2w, the whales and the free to play?

Based on their 'titles'
Like the supporter one, which indicates alot on the player

Like the tower of titans where you get to choose the difficulty yourself, here with this new system, the event would automaticly target the players based on their stats, so whales plays against each other and free to play play against each other, no cheating and no disadvantage

So lets say its live and i click join the event, it would put me automaticly with the whales or with players having similar stats as me based on spending, titles, and whatever

How would that auto system work for long time players who have supporter $250 from having RM for a while and the workers compared to people who are newer but buy gems? Would it have to factor in the last time they bought something and what it was?

Also once you pass supporter V you'd all be together right? Even if their financial status changed and they're now ftp?
