Hii so I am well aware of synergy > individual strong skills. But the only hero that I know is basically never getting replaced is Jun, but he's a knight and I was told to promote my T3/4 damage dealers first which are my sorcerers, druids, wanderers.

Oh and btw, the levels are not updated! I only update them when they get a new skill. Another thing to take note of is that I'm trying to follow the sample spreadsheet from STCentral which has 3 heroes of each element for elemental coverage. My focus is on 18 slots with 0 souls

I plan on only keeping one or two good sorcerers and one good druid, then replace the rest with t6s. Most of them are there just to check for their third skill.

I also plan on keeping Dino because of his second skill, I think that his first skill is fine as it helps me level him to 35 faster and 1st spot dice is not as rare or expensive to reroll. Or should I fire him and try for a different knight?

Also, not really sure what to do with Scoups. Should I reroll his third skill? Or just fire him eventually, once I've brought everyone up.

One last thing! If it isn't too much trouble, please help me categorize them on "fire now", "fire later", "check skill", "keep". The only one I'm 100% sure of is Jun which is a keep

#

Btw, I don't have Roland yet but I do plan on getting him once I need his ability. Which is why I put a Yes on Roland. Meaning, I have not used Roland on any of my heroes yet

I heard that I should be saving his ability for the last slot for each hero, so I'm in no rush to get him just yet unless his lines are really good or I can be using it on certain heroes already 👀

Roland is really good for Fire Later type heroes. You know you're going to be getting rid of them anyway so the single use per hero restriction doesn't really matter. This helps them become much better workhorses in the meantime. Otherwise he's mainly used for finishing heroes who are one skill away from perfect.

#

I'm curious - before I take a look, what are your own thoughts on your heroes?

blissful zenith
#

Oh yeah! I remember hearing about this use case! Which brings it up to another point, I don't really know which skill to get using Roland

blissful zenith

Please give me a minute to check and give you my thoughts on it :D

Dino (Check skill 3)

  • I really like his second skill and the first skill does say actively avoid but I don't see it as a problem because it helps me level him faster. If he gets a good third skill as well, then I can level him to 35 then reroll the first skill with a dice. This will maximize the XP bonus I get. I believe that first skill reroll dices are more common, and it's worth keeping to check the third skill because of his 2nd.

Joshua (Depends on if evasion is good or not. Leaning towards fire later)

  • Good synergy because of the evasion from his 1st and 3rd skill. 2nd skill is kind of a bummer but since it is only the second slot, it can be rerolled without being too expensive. But I'm not sure how good evasion is on knights, so it would depend on that. If it's bad then he's a fire later hero but on a lower priority because he's a red type.

Jun (100% keep)

  • Perfect as he has both health and defensive skills as a knight, all three skills synergize with each other and the only way I can see it being any better, is to replace his common skills with the epic variant of the same skill (Not familiar with names yet)
#

It's getting a bit long, so I'm splitting it into more messages

#

Seungkwan (Fire later)

  • Really good first skill and serviceable second skill, but the fact that maintenance is in the third slot removes all justification of rerolling since third slots are expensive. He still gets the job done because he is a red type

Wonwoo (Keep)

  • Red type with great synergy. He gets HP and attack from his skills. The only problem I see is that he doesn't have a weapon skill, but then again, he is a red type so it might not be as important? 🤷‍♀️ P.S. I just realized that the level says 45, he is not 45 and it's a typo

Jeonghan (Keep)

  • His skills have great synergy with each other, the only problem I can see is that he is a wanderer which means that he wants evasion but his skill sets do not give that. He has a weapon skill on guns (Which I assume is great because premium, perhaps not BIS), attack, CR and CD from his skills.
#

The8 (Check 3rd skill, leaning towards keep)

  • Good attack source and a weapon skill. Perforate isn't the strongest but it does help him with increasing his DPS which is what he is meant to do as a green type. But I remember that green types also want evasion, cr, cd. Not really an issue since I still have a third skill to check. Leaning towards fire later, unless his third skill rolls really good. The upside is that the "bad" skill is in the first slot, which is easier to reroll

Mingyu (Check 3rd skill, neutral)

  • Same as the8

Miyamura (Check 3rd skill, leaning towards fire)

  • Same as the8 and mingyu, but perforate is in the 2nd slot. So I need to be more strict on his 3rd skill.

Hoshi (Check 3rd skill, leaning towards keep)

  • Instrument weapon type which is quite good, probably not BIS because of wands (I think). Arcane Blast in first slot helps him do his job, and is a first slot which is easy to replace
#

Scoups (Leaning towards fire later)

  • I really do not know what to make do with him. He has a bad third skill but has good first and second skills especially because it's a wand type, but the first two skills probably do not compensate enough. He is also a sorcrer which does not benefit as much from weapon skills than other classes because sorcerer gets better skills. So with that being said, most likely fire later

Dk (No idea)

  • Sorcerer with crit chance, health and attack. I don't really know what to make do with this. When I hear sorcerer, I don't really think of crits so I'm not sure if it's even good

Elisha (Check 3rd skill but leaning towards keep)

  • Good offense in the first two skills and some defense which isn't bad. Weapon skill isn't as important either because she's a sorcerer which can make do without a weapon skill. Heavily leaning towards keep, but it all depends on if the third skill is at least usable

Vernon (Unknown)

  • Weapon skill which isn't that important, and it is on a staff. Lots of attack too from all three skills which may be heading into diminishing returns? Haven't heard this term much apart from the rest time multipliers in STCentral when talking about rangers. Third skill isn't that good either according to the picture, but is still usable.

Woozi (Fire later)

  • Similar to Vernon. But with critical chance instead?

I appreciate you going so in depth! Let me see...

  • Joshua - That set is great. Evasion is very good on Fighters, assuming you have good HP / Def as well. Maintenance is a lot better than a lot of people give it credit for too. If he gets a good HP skill in S4 after promoting, this will be very strong.
  • Jun - Minor note, only Sturdy has a higher rarity upgrade. ShieldMaster is technically a weapon skill, but is the only one without an Epic counterpart.
  • DK - Crit Sorcerers are very strong. This is a good start.

Two small general notes:

  • For your game stage, what weapon skill you have does not matter. Some weapon types are indeed better than others, but it's not a huge difference - only maybe 10-15% damage at the highest range.
  • Sorcerers are weird when it comes to weapon skills. If they have low bonus Attack (350% or so is the threshold) or if you're going FULL crit, then you don't usually have the space for one. Otherwise they're an attacker so a weapon skill is usually a good idea.
#

Overall, very nicely done!

blissful zenith
#

Oh, so the focus should be on actually having weapon skills rather than what weapon type it is

merry night
#

Exactly.

blissful zenith
#

At least, for my current stage of the game

#

Some quick questions while we're at it, is there a spreadsheet anywhere that states which skills are absolute BIS for heroes so I know which skills to replace, and replace to? Or is that purely case by case basis, and I have to take the other skills into account as well?

#

Is maintenance good on knights specifically because of the stat bonuses and knights having an innate that is equipment dependent?

  • Correct, you mainly just care about "do I have a weapon skill at all" on your attackers for the moment. When you reach the point of endgame where your heroes are all permanent keepers and you're just working on getting better versions of skills you already have, then you can worry about this.
  • There isn't a BiS skills spreadsheet or resource or anything. Partially because no such combination really exists (everybody has slightly different goals and priorities) and partially because a resource like that will cause people who don't know better to trash lots of great heroes who don't have that exact skillset. An unfortunately infamous example is that a player retired a Musketeer with GunMaster AllNatural because someone "advised" that they didn't have Marksman.
  • Maintenance is decent on Fighters in general due to math stuff. This article on ST Central covers why its big brother ExtendedWarranty is a great option for them - Maintenance is just the same skill with smaller numbers. https://st-central.net/extending-your-warranty/
#

i know im being lazy by linking that article, but i wrote it in the first place

blissful zenith
#

I haven't read that article yet! Will definitely give it a read soon

#

Oh, not at all!

#

I love reading

#

I read all the articles in STCentral for heroes and other guides too

#

Also, if I could go back to my initial questions haha. They were also about Dino, Scoups. What should I do with those two? I am most probably going to keep dino and use a one dice check on him. But my main concern is Scoups

Another question was on which hero to use my titan soul for. The last one was which heroes I should consider as fire later.

#

And if I may just ask a question that's completely unrelated to heroes. I know that customer flow is increased when you have more items on display, but is it based on the number of items in display or based on how many racks you have filled?

Example:

  • Scenario 1: 20 racks full and no more racks, about 120 items on display
  • Scenario 2: 15 racks full, 5 racks empty, about 150 items on display

Which one would result in higher customer flow?

Scoups is a tough one, mainly because that's slot 3 (the most obnoxious slot to reroll) and the existing skill is nearly useless for Spellcasters. If you have the means, maybe do a one-dice check on slot 3 (it can't really get much worse TBH).

Promotions, I think Vernon would be a good choice right now with Th8, Hoshi, DK, and Elisha being potential candidates depending on what they pick up at 23.

Customer flow is based entirely on how many items are on display in total. It's not a big deal if you have some racks completely empty.

blissful zenith
#

Oh, if the existing skills are nearly useless, I should just use roland and make him a workhouse until he gets replaced haha

#

Okay, I think I'll save the titan soul for when The8, hoshi, Dk and elisha hit 23

#

Then consider which one is the strongest to use my soul on

#

Hopefully they roll good 🥺

#

Thanks for the info btw! Really helps me out a lot as usual <3
