#What is the best exclusive worker tô buy(srry for bad english)

All of them are very good. It depends a lot on how early you are and what you prioritize.
They’re all quite powerful.
Mundra is the most useful utility wise by giving you access to full moon fusions (things like skill dice and ascension shards) all the time.
The scholar is almost a necessity IN MY OPINION, because of the ability to craft your own runestones for enchantments.
The bard is also powerful for having the ability to upgrade 2 pieces of furniture at once.
Roland is also very powerful but more so later on. Being able to choose a 4th slot skill and pick the best one outright without needed tier 4 skill dice is invaluable.
You can make a very strong case for all the workers and everybody will have a slightly different order.
Very true.
Roland also excels in the midgame. Argon's Finest to get two pretty good skills and then Roland to lock in a third is a really strong way to get a great transitional / stepping stone hero for not much investment.
I hadn’t even considered that combo tbh
It's an extremely powerful use case for him.
If I had to pick which workers I think fall at the bottom of the strength pyramid, it would probably be Kaipo and Yolanda.
Familiars can give decent boosts to champions but not many classes wear cloaks or have cloak use cases that massively overtake alternatives (they’re still good but not game changingly so)
And desserts are similar. With kaipo the caveat is that his worker talent is the king buys 2 items every visit before food purchases.
That said the rest of the roster is all immensely powerful in one way or another
Kaipo is comfortably the weakest (although still a very good buy).
Yolanda's near the top, dude. Familiars are always needed, you can sell them to every class in your shop (although not every customer) and her passive bonus of increased Small Talk success rate is huge by itself.
Every class can buy them and Aurasongs (although not every customer).
Damn.. I don’t know who I’d put as the weak end then.
Kaipo. Absolutely no question that he's the weakest.
His item line is redundant in functionality to Meals, he's the only one offers a single item line (admittedly this is kinda shared with Mundra), and his passive bonus is easily the weakest.
For Yolanda's Small Talk, 5% higher chance doesn't sound like a lot, but think about it another way. When you're working with percentages and have a high amount, every additional point matters.
At base, we have a 75% chance to succeed, which means it's inversely a 25% chance to fail. 5% higher success rate means you reduce the failure rate from 25% to 20%. Again, 5% doesn't sound like a lot here, but you're reducing the failure chance by 1/5.
This applies to every time you try a Small Talk.
I thought it would be easier to narrow them down from weakest to strongest for purchase cases
But the scholar gives you merchant XP and self sustained enchanting
Mundra gives you the entire fusion catalogue and moonstone crafting which is the fusion equivalent of runestones
The engineer gives some of the best offensive weapons for a good chunk of the roster and -50% break chance outright can pay for itself sometimes but it’s not super strong inherently.
Yolanda and yohan we went over with the familiars and aura songs.
Yohan also doubles upgrades to furniture with simultaneous upgrades.
And Roland is a freebie skill
Maybe the engineer is second weakest for purchase case..?
This is kinda reinforcing the whole "all workers are good, it depends on your priorities and where you are" thing. The ranking order will depend a lot on the individual person and it's basically impossible to come up with a universal answer (aside from Kaipo being the weakest).
And to stress: Kaipo the Baker is not bad. He's the weakest among several exceedingly strong options.
One other thing to consider:
The RM subscription. If you can keep up with the monthly subscription cost, this is by far the best value for real money/
If I had to put my foot down on an initial purchase… the first three I’d say everyone should get would be the scholar, Mundra and yohan
Scholar and Mundra completely remove your progression’s reliance on dropped runestones and moonstones or purchasing them from the market so you don’t get bottlenecked by enchanting
Stone drops from quests / chests: are we a joke to you
This also completely negates the engineer’s trait entirely.

RM let’s you use gold to repair items so break chance doesn’t matter
Reduced breakage is still valuable.
Valuable but it’s not a top tier value
Assuming you can keep up with the subscription
If you're going to twist my arm, Yohan is the best for an early player. Double furniture upgrades by itself is huge.
I don't have a second best in mind because my opinion genuinely changes from day to day.
(there's a reason why the st central beginner's guide doesn't include a ranking like this - because i would be updating it every week based on my thoughts that day)
Lol fair point
I’d have to say the question itself should be worded as “what’s the most valuable workers”
Not necessarily the best, but how much utility do they provide
At least in my mind that easier to nail down.
Definitely, but "what's the best [X]?" is a much more common mindset in the videogame space.
Along with "if it's not the best, it's garbage and i don't want anything to do with it".
Somewhere, a meta cruncher had a heart attack in the corner
My take would be in order of most to least utility, including new information on Yolanda
Yohan
Mundra and the scholar fighting for 2nd place very close behind first.
yolanda
roland
the engineer
kaipo
It's important to point out that "has RM" tends to knock both Mundra and Roxanne down a bunch. A huge part of both of their utility involves mitigating gear breaks, and that overlaps with the ability to fix gear with gold. It doesn't remove or completely negate their effectiveness but it does reduce them a bit.
also fishing for arguments to the contrary because as I just learned I didn’t know something about Yolanda and want to make sure I’m not missing other bits
Missing a small detail that changed Yolanda by several spaces is big
Most of them are pretty straightforward. A point in Mundra's favor (although admittedly not a big one) is that your fusion speed is increased during Full Moon Fusion events. This only happens one day each month so it's not huge, but it is worth noting - especially if you plan to fuse stuff that takes a long time.
Kaipo also gets slightly better (although is still comfortably the weakest) for players who only hop on for a couple short sessions each day. King Reinhold becomes a big source of gold for them, so Kaipo giving you a second King purchase adds up quickly.
If I have to make a list, it would be:
- Yohan the Bard - Phenomenal passive ability (although this loses most of its appeal in the lategame when
become your bottleneck), both item lines are excellent, you can sell Auras to every customer class (although not every customer), sweet hat - Yolanda the Summoner - Phenomenal passive ability, one excellent item line, you can sell Familiars to every customer class (although not every customer).
- Mundra the Moon Dragon - Almost exclusively for the excellent passive ability. The Mundra item line usually isn't a great choice for hero use and crafting your own Moonstones is only necessary if you're fusing a bunch.
- Evelyn the Scholar & Roxanne the Engineer - About equal for me. Both passive bonuses are pretty strong and their item lines are among the best weapon types in the game. Evelyn bumps up a slot or two in the ranking if you craft a lot of enchantments.
- Roland the Veteran - Extremely potent but risky passive ability, best used for transitional heroes or for ones who are one step from perfect. It's really easy to "misuse" his passive bonus. Item lines are both very strong.
- Kaipo the Baker - Item line is redundant in functionality to Meals, only one who offers a single item line, his passive bonus is easily the weakest unless Reinhold is a primary source of income.
If you aren't using the Royal Merchant subscription, then Mundra becomes #2 for her ability to let you craft your own Repair Kits. Roxanne bumps up a slot or two due to reducing breaks.
Exact position of Yolanda, Mundra, Evelyn, and Roxanne will shift around a little for me depending on how I feel when you ask, but this is generally the order I would say if I'm forced to rank them.
So TL,DR for Ghost's initial question here:
It depends on what you want. All of them are very good. There is no "best" for everybody. Yohan the Bard, Yolanda the Summoner, and Mundra the Moon Dragon are all very strong.
The monthly Royal Merchant subscription is easily the best value if you can support the monthly cost and is better than any of the workers.
(Also please let me know if you don't understand something or if something doesn't translate well. I would be happy to say it a different way.)
Thanks guys
~~How could they buff Kaipo? 😁 ~~
Without just making desserts blatantly busted? Honestly not sure… maybe reduction of resting times after quests.
I’ve actually thought about this. There are two problems with Kaipo: Only one item line and king sales start losing value at end-game.
First solution: What if Kaipo studied abroad and could create powerful, sweets-inspired accessories, similar to Mundra in that it wouldn’t be a full line.
Second solution: What if the King bought items for gems? (Only with Kaipo, obviously.)
The king still picks an item on display at random and instead of paying an increased value, you get gems. The base value then gets divided by a million and you get that number of gems.
(1,000,000 = 1 gem.)
This is already a thing, BTW.
The Fresh spirit that can appear on Meals and Desserts provides Rest Time Reduction.
There was an original plan for him to cover both meals and dessert lines
Him being split into 2 for release is why he's kinda bleh
Kaipo has three main issues.
- His item line is pretty redundant in functionality to Meals
- He only offers one item line
- His passive power is nice but not super impactful
To reasonably buff him, I think you only realistically need to fix one of these.
- Meals and Desserts have been out for long enough that I don't think you can change the line at its core. Maybe make it so Desserts have a higher chance of being chosen for a second sale, say 20% if you have a Dessert out, 10% if you have a Meal out. Possibly make it so Desserts have a chance to proc as an additional sale if the previous sale was not a Dessert (to avoid chaining them together)?
- Only giving one item line, I think this can't change. No worker has received modifications to the item line(s) they offer after release, plus what else would he offer?
- The passive power is where I think the most potential lays. It's already been reworked once (old passive made it so Reinhold appeared every 12 hours instead of the normal 24), so we have precedent for modifying the power after release. I like the idea of him granting extra sales in general, so maybe make it so every customer has a chance to proc a second sale (in addition to the normal Meal or Dessert).
What if you replaced the dessert passive for rest times with something else and made that part of his worker passive instead. He’d be the first worker with two passives to make up for one item line and the rest passive is universal. Two nice passives that are mostly utility and activity related. More active players get more out of the rest reduction, less active players get more out of doubling up king sales
There’s also potential for making a worker that yields more to the merchant side than heroes or crafting, which kaipo kinda already does with the king sales
Eh, giving him a second passive is a risky slope. Premium workers only have one passive effect as a rule.
RTR, meh. It's a fairly pointless stat in most cases. Plus it comes from the Fresh enchantment itself which can be on both Meals and Desserts. I believe Kabam has directly said they don't want this Spirit to have any actual combat applications due to its very limited nature of generating on the items.
Hmmm… counter point on the passive, while it’s a rule currently. You can still limit it like a point allocation,
Workers must have at least one passive and one item line, if you ONLY have one item line you can either have two moderate passives or one strong one
But fair on the fresh spirit…
Wait what about hero XP?
No workers grant hero XP and thematically it fits with the utility role food plays
does Aura of Victory aurasong 25% xp bonus affect the champ only, or the party?
Other line which would make thematic sense for Kaipo might be candy?
I think aura songs effect the entire party
Entire party, yes.
(also this is now a bit outside the scope of the original topic)
I don't have the scholar option do they unlock at a certain level?
Should be Merchant level 15.
Ok I have them already and did realize ..
That'll do it alright.
Does Evelyn her exclusive blueprint line of the Rune stones come with Supreme Rune stone included? Could anyone send me a screenshot?
