If i remember correctly, this used to be a strategy a few years ago. Did it change or did i just do it wrong?

My plan was simple. That small corner npcs are boxed in is so they shop faster, and i have spare racks in the back so i can get numbers up, i even added that wall there because it was a bit annoying when they asked for things that are "not for sale"

They have a chance of asking for items that you can craft, even if you don't have any in your inventory or they can't reach the item on display.

Additionally, when you load the game/switch from city to shop, customers can spawn at counter asking for any item you have even if not on an accessible rack

i did notice them asking for items that i dont have but can craft, however i did notice that its more likely they will ask for items in the back over the items i simply can craft. so that closed method still works tho? i am an returning player, came back after 2 years, left the shop as it was before i left xD

Except for the cases we specified, yeah. I usually keep my king baits non-accessible, and I'm extra careful when I start the game/switch screen to check no customer pop asking for them, but the rest of the time, it works fine

Ah, last exception: the additional food sale can ask for any food on display, even if not accessible

Just to make sure, if i turn off the phone and then later on turn it on and the game reloads, that could cause npcs to ask for items not accessible to them? Cuz honestly i do that a lot, i usually multitask and play games on pc and also check on shop from time to time
