I just had the same or similar problem. Attempted to craft Earthstrung Wings which requires a Mandragoroot as one of the components. It asked if I wanted to use my legendary Mandragoroot since that's the only one I had. I said no. It asked me if I wanted to buy one from the market or craft one. I said market. I clicked to buy one, and instead of buying one and using it for crafting, it just used my legendary Mandragoroot anyway.
