Let us upvote suggestions on Discord again.

It used to be that we could give a thumbs up, or up arrow on good ideas suggested here, or downvote bad ideas. I think that was an important feature because it let people know how many people supported this idea. Older suggestions in the discord still have this feature but newer ones no longer seem to have it :|a

the up- and downvoting created the impression that upvoted ideas would get implemented more likely than others. as that is not the case it created more confusion than it was usefull

It's anit-democratic to not allow people to upvote on ideas they'd like to see implemented. Even if it doesn't make it more likely for the idea to get implemented, it does give people an idea of how many people support the idea, and if they should try to push for it to be implented or give up on it. Some ideas are just bad, but some ideas are really, really good and people should be allowed to rally behind them.

They didnt do anything with the upvotes, Kabam doesn't look at it at all

I appreciate the link, and I understand what people here are saying, but I'd like to say I think that their decision was wrong and should be reverted back. People can say it did more harm than help, but I haven't seen enough evidence to support that. Many of the ideas that DID get upvoted the most, eventually were implemented, and this just guts players ability to input if they do not wish to leave comments.

That is not because they got upvoted the most. Kabam have stated that they do not look at upvotes or even the discussion in the comment below a suggestion.

But it does give players the knowledge that other players want this too.

That can still be done by simply commenting that you agree with the suggestion

It's a lot easier to just hit an upvote button than to write "Agreed"

It is but it also did a lot of harm where people were targeting other people for upvoting or downvoting and not saying why they upvoted or downvoted. It got a bit heated and sometimes upright toxic which was harmful for the server overall

That sounds more like a problem with the commentors needing to be moderated than an issue with the upvotes or downvotes.

It is hard to moderate so they decided to remove it as their version of moderating it I guess 😛

I seriously wonder if the suggestions here get any attention. We still can't sort the inventory view by locked items, for example....

I have seen a lot of things here get implemented, although this is the first I've heard of sorting things by locked vs unlocked. It's a pretty good suggestion all things considered.

I have made the proposal several times over the past year or so. Others have as well.
