Could you please consider making events such as Dragon Invasion, Lost City Of Gold, amd Kings Caprice, where the rewards are locked until the event timer is done before members can collect. We have had multiple times where a member contributes and then decides to leave part way through (or in the last hour!) and there points get deducted from the guild points pool making us miss out on the prize for the rest of the guild. You could also lock the points from a member earned during the time in your guild even if they leave. The other solution is the temporary stop any player from leaving a guild with an event in progress, joining could remain open though.
#Event Rewards Rule Change(s)

oh and also make it so members cant be kicked from an event until it is over also as i can see that being a problem for some players.
Blocking the kick won't happen. If a GM want to kick a player during an event then he has all the right to do so. Even though it is a shitty thing to do.
Blocking people from leaving is keeping them hostage which isnt nice.
The losing points if a member leaves is done so bigger players cant boost a lower guild iirc
This has been suggested before, let me look it up
There is another post but I cant find that one right now
i dont see it as holding hostage, since those events are only roughly a week, are atleast make it a guild option you can set with a cool down on toggling it. That way if someone joins a guild, they know that is a rule. Simular to guilds who require members to donate so many ticks total or per week... and get kicked if they dont follow the rules
I just want a solution where both sides are fairly protected from these actions
ya, he literally went there to promote his own post :P
It kinda is. We have two 4 day events and one week event. That is 23 days in the month.
also people have reasons for leaving guilds. it is important to communicate with the members. most people i know, who changed guilds in an event were either in a guild where they had issues with other members/leaders (or the guild was inactive) or they simply didn't know the guild would loose their points. i'm not saying there are no people who simply leave because they found a higher guild and didn't care about the old one, yet i don't think that's a good reason for keeping people hostage even if it's just for 4 days
I think there should at least be an option to keep the points someone has contributed as long as they where there before the event starts and any new person joining doesn’t get to add anything into the reward track
And they can’t also claim any rewards either
#1101581938201989221 is the other one that had a lot of discussion on holding people hostage in a guild
Ah yea that was the one
that would not work since for example kc tokens r used during the week of the event from the rewards
Yeah.. leaving because you found a better guild mid event ruining the event for the other 19 is completely fine and definitely not an issue
I feel my solution solves both problems
that's not what i said. i said that someone doing that shouldn't be the reason for keeping people hostage. i have never personally encountered anyone leaving mid event because they found a better one. but i did find a lot of people during an event with completely inactive guilds, who wouldn't be able to join an active one then and would likely quit again because they can't leave a completely dead guild
Yeah, that will be a lot better than what we have now. Making it so that contribution is kept on the guild and not lost when people leave. Only their own individual contribution is lost if they decide to change guild.
Solve most of the problem and its something without any drawback (I think?)
and what if a guild kicks you mid event and your whole event contribution stays in the guild?
i mean sure they couldn't make big amounts of points that way exploiting it but the person being kicked would lose all their points without any way to reclaim them
there is always a drawback and i personally don't see why the solution we currently have is worse than keeping people hostage or locking the points in the guild without having any way to gain the rewards, if a guild kicks you
ohhh it time to train yourself to be the one who can contribute more than one person's event points.
Ehh... hmm, maybe if someone left/is kicked, the new member joining will not have the contribution of the player that left and their contribution won't be counted toward guild progress until they have surpassed the leeving player's contribution?
Its a bit complicated but I believe it can work
Make it so if the person is kicked then their points go with them and if they leave voluntarily then the points stay with the guild
And if the person is kicked then the new person can’t contribute to the event or get the rewards in the new guild (they can still claim the ones they would have gotten from the old guild) and if the person leaves voluntarily then the new person can contribute to the guild but the points the old person had goes away
yes 23 days a month there is an event going on but what i was meaning, was 4 or 5 days at most you would have to wait to leave, as there is normally a 2 - 2.5 day break of time between events and assuming you wouldnt leave as soon as the event starts 3 or 4 day wait...
that would work also, since bounties are not deducted when members leave but event points are ...
it will be fun if your bounty goes with you like investment. When you leave a guild, the guild level and upgrade drops.
