What about a new button on the sell screen? There are a lot of times when I have a bunch of customers all lined up at once, and all I really want to do is clear them out, buuuuuuuuuuuuut, I also wanna smalltalk them. I know it sounds silly, but being able to make this a one click feature would really help. I know the little bit of time between clicking smalltalk then clicking sell isn't much, buuuuuuuuuuuuut it adds up, particularly when you're playing while you have a busy day. Just a thought.
(It probably goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway, the same applies for a Smalltalk + Buy button)

That wouldnt work because people deny sales if the small talk didnt work
That's why it's an additional button, not a button replacing the existing ones. For people like me who just want them done and gone. Also... what's the point of refusing a sale when smalltalk fails? It doesn't refund the lost energy, right? Or am I crazy this whole time?
what's the point of refusing a sale when smalltalk fails?
Spite
And reusing the item to get a working small talk
Because the lost energy is mostly lower than the gained energy on the second try
I guess I can see that, but still, an additional button doesn't impact that. Folks who want to refuse on failure could still use the old buttons, and folks who just want to move this along could use the new button. Definitely not advocating for the removal of the old buttons, just the addition of a combination button.
an additional button would mean the would have to scale the ui again. i personally don't see the problem just pressing two buttons but i do see a problem with another button in the current layout.

I just spam S E C to clear my counter on pc... Smalltalk discount, sell. I believe the D key is for surcharge
so each customer only takes a sec to clear? >_>
If you have just a few items for selling you don't want to let them go if smalltalk fails. You will gain no energy and less items left for the next customers.
This situation is not common but can happen anytime.
