Well I used a lot on Reinhold which is a temp champion and I would love to use them on Sondra to lower the fusion times of these nice dice even more.
When you think about it, Mythic potions (and all XP pots) allowed to break buildings limitations was only the beginning, the next step is to allow them on workers.
Then they need to rebalance buildings to give ressource regen or faster craft time depending on their level. To make sure leveling buildings is still a worthwhile goal.

Can you explain what is the benefit of a Training Hall lvl 17 compared to a lvl 20 now that XP pots can be used to bypass its limit and reach lvl 40 on heroes??

there was never much point to level the training hall past lv17 anyway. Once you get the 4th skill those last 5 levels do not add much to your heroes stats
having the ability to bypass that limitation made it possible for members who wanted that 4th skill or higher level heroes to get those benefits without having to leave their guild. The guild could also focus on more important buildings. removing the hard cap on 1 building is much different from removing it on over half the games buildings
I already feel like investing in rss buildings past 15 has been made less valuable with the welcome introduction of lv20 bins, so making investment in worker buildings meaningless would basically make investing in general pointless
