You've got to remember that those tracks you referenced are mastered. Your mixes are pretty good and you'd achieve those levels after a good master.

If anything, put a limiter on your master buss in your DAW and bring the threshold down to get an idea of what it would sound like when mastered. However don't leave the limiter on when mixing, just use it for reference every now and again.
