If music is something that you want to quit, certainly. If you understand that it's hard and might be your plan B or C and you keep your plan A intact, why to give up? Just let it be another plan. To me you only let something go when is making bad to the person or the person does not want anymore. I have my plan A as coding, but music is my plan B and I offer mixing/mastering services to the crowd even being plan B. Yes I want to be plan A, but even not being I simply stay doing music when possible, having my mixing/mastering clients and doing my plan A. My sincerely opinion.
